Awesomely nostalgic & Super cool Antique center...it was like you were in a museum that you could actually buy stuff!! All sorts of neat trinkets from different eras of our past! I wondered aloud, the turn around on some of the items in the store. It seriously felt like touring a museum. There were upstairs and downstairs (two to be exact) and we were in the store for a good hour looking around. Definitely a nice place to check in if you're looking for something in particular, or if you have nothing better to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon! I would love to go back and visit the Bay City area and check this place out again as well! read more

This place has a great inventory and friendly staff. We spent an hour there and only got through about a quarter of the place. We liked that the wares are well spaced to avoid sensory overload. They had furniture, stained glass, old doors/shutters, clothes, jewelry, flatware, china, glassware, coins, comics/books, toys, you name it! We liked it so much that we're making an extra trip tomorrow to canvas the rest of the place. read more

HUGE HUGE HUGE building. I took my friend in to show her how large it was. We just browsed a few rooms when she stopped and said to me, "I think we need to call it good for now and save this for a rainy day because I could spend hours in here!" It's been a few years since I have been here, but I remember it took me about 2-3 hours to cover the whole building. The people working are very nice and helpful too. The Bay Antique Center is always a must visit place whenever we're popping through Bay City. Like most antique places some of the places are a little higher others a little lower, luckily there is a good mix of both! So much to see that it can be a little overwhelming, especially down in the basements which don't seem to be as organised as the upper levels. Some fantastic vintage postcard, records and books if that's your thing - I know it's mine which is why we always head back so often although stock doesn't seem to turn over that fast but it's worth a look if your in the area! All the staff seem lovely and friendly and always offer to help out if you have any issues. read more

This place touts being the "largest antique store in Michigan," which in my opinion is its major flaw. It takes up nearly a block downtown and is filled from the basement to the second floor with antiques. However, one side of the store NEVER changes as nothing sells due to everything being repulsively expensive or incredibly large. It's more of a collector's display. The rest of the building has some booths worth looking at here and there, but other parts are practically empty, or dealers want an arm and a leg for items that aren't in high demand. There are even sections of the store with retail (gasp) items. I.e. stuff that isn't old and has minimal value. Every once and awhile I find something I like, but the size and lack of quality/variety doesn't bring me in very often these days. read more

This place is beyond huge. NO one would have a hard time getting lost in here all day long. . Treasures upon Treasures. I could not tear myself away. Had to add a review for this place. I spent numerous hours here recently and it was well worth the trip. Granted, this place is labyrinth like, but at the same time it is so much fun to dig around. As an added bonus I think I saw a cat while I was there. The only reason for one less star is that the vendors aren't really around to make deals with on objects. Maybe it is my flea market mentality, but that is always a fun part of looking through the stuff that seems to be missing here. Either way, many treasures await! read more

This place is amazing for any lover of the old and unique. I can't get over how huge it is; it goes on for ages! If you are planning on redoing the home with decor, this is the place to find some real gems. Prices aren't inflated like you might find in a big city, so overall you can't beat this location or the overwhelming variety. Come prepared to spend a few hours. You might want to bring a coffee or something from a shop nearby. read more

I've seen my share of antiques shops and malls, all over the country, and this is one of the best. Friendly staff and a great variety. Very few new or reproduction items that you find in so many "antique" stores these days. Spent a lot of time and a lot of money, and can't wait to go back next time I'm in Michigan read more
