I don't understand how this business received 5 stars. We booked them for a 1,000-person corporate event and it was the most terrible experience. 1) UNPROFESSIONAL | The correspondence leading up to the event was messy, unprofessional, and very confusing. They didn't keep their word to what they promised to provide. It also seemed like they were trying to overcharge us. 2) POOR EXPERIENCE | Our employees had to wait in very long lines to get their alcohol -- the bar was closed 15 minutes before our event officially ended and one of the bartenders was very rude about it to employees that were still patiently waiting in line. 3) DRINKS | Their beer selection wasn't great - lots of Modelo. The bar set up itself looked like a mess. We asked for nonalcoholic beverages and those were NOT provided. Overall, this vendor stressed out my team so much. We paid a hefty nonrefundable deposit so by the time we realized they were difficult to work with, it was too late. read more

Working with Bay Area Bartenders was extremely convenient. HELPFUL We had a large outdoor party for 100 people and I had never hired bartenders before. Bay Area Bartenders talked be through the process and recommended two bartenders (which was perfect). They even emailed me a detailed grocery list when I asked them for recommendations on how much alcohol and ice to purchase for a group this size. TIMELY The two bartenders arrived extra early to set up, tap the kegs and make sure everything was ready before guests arrived. Beyond my expectations. I was very straight-forward with this bartender and had very specific demands. When you have a poor bartender, everyone at the wedding knows, so I made sure I got a professional and reliable one. I probably wasn't the easiest client to work with either. In terms of professionalism, David met with me several times in person prior to the wedding to make sure the items he provided and that alcohol I provided were spelled out all in the contract. He also made it easy to pay him via PayPal or a BofA account and didn't expect full payment until the day of service. A week before I threw him a curve ball and asked if he could serve lemonade at a completely separate location then the venue itself. He gladly obliged and worked the service into the contract we had. Perfect! The service was great. Everyone seemed happy with the lemonade stand while we were taking group photos together. The line at the bar wasn't ever too too long during the duration, which is the major killjoy. And David's pretty and professional staff made sure that they didn't serve anyone that looked like they had way too much for the night. Great service, great communication, and reliable! I found BAB through all these great reviews, sent out an email and they were really responsive. I booked with them for my wedding last weekend seven months ago. Since I booked them a long time, we had some misunderstandings before the wedding but BAB was great at correcting those misunderstandings. The bartenders showed up early and stayed late, they also cleaned up after the area before they left. Overall, I would do business with them again but make sure you go through what you are needed to provide for them at the event so there won't be any misunderstanding. read more
