I have been going to this practice along with my family for over 25 years and it's no surprise to me that they have a 1 star rating. My biggest disappointment is with myself and the fact that I trusted and dealt with the disrespect for so long. Nurses are extremely rude and have no compassion. Doctors consider you $$ and just another number. Amy and all the receptionist are rude. After my mother's interaction today at their office I finally decided I will never return. The doctor actually told her she will no longer see her due to being 15 mins late. Life happens, shit happens and for a doctor to have no compassion for a women who she has cared for for well over 30 years is disgusting. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere to get quality service. read more

Went in for routine blood work today and I became a pin cushion for the lab tech that had no f'n idea what she was doing. It literally took getting stuck 4 times before she figured out how to draw. Sad to see all the poor reviews since ive been going there for years. I have had visits where i had to wait an hour to see the doctor too and made an office complaint. I did make a complaint and i better hear back from the doctor. I may make an appt to just see the doc to tell him hes running a lousy practice.. read more

I've been here before and have had crazy waits. Today, I'm here for my mom. She's super sick and I've been waiting in a parking lot for an hour in a half. AGAIN. AN HOUR IN A HALF and she's still in there. WHAT'S WITH THIS PLACE? Come on. What's the point of having an appointment if you have to wait over an hour???? I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but every time I visit it is clear this place does not care about me as a patient. They never seem to know why I'm there and I'll have to switch rooms last minute, etc. Extremely unprofessional. They don't seem to properly update their charts or remember things recorded from previous visits that were rather important and time dependent. The worst part is the surprise bill I receive in the mail a month after every visit for a random charge. It's either for a service I did not ask for or authorize, or something my insurance does not cover because it is so ridiculous. I cannot justify going here any longer. read more

All of these 1 star reviews are ridiculous. Now, when I say this is the best doctors office I have been to in terms of professionalism, kindness and taking care of you AT YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME. THIS IS IT. I went in nervous with an ingrown toe nail and they made sure to honor my appointment time, made me feel comfortable, and explained everything and made sure I felt NO PAIN. Dr. Rowsell was very professional. Lauren and Helen, his assistants, were also very nice and professional as well. Everything about this doctors office was amazing. All of these reviews are still true, years later. My family and I have been coming here for years and the wait time is always an hour to an hour and a half past your appointment time. The only appointments I have been seen on time are for lab/tech appointments. There are times when I sign in at the desk, and notice that my doctor's last appointment was over an hour ago. I would assume that she will be ready to see me, but she is still over an hour late. The only reason we still go here is for insurance purposes. Don't make an appointment here unless you have 2+ hours to spare!!! read more

Went in for an appoint and ended up waiting 1 hour to see a Doctor. I was in an examining room and after an hour I called the front desk and gave them my Exam room number, and the Doctor showed up within a few minutes; what is up with that? The Doctor's are not bad it just takes forever to see one. This is not the first time this has happened, the way Bay Physicians handle patients and our precious time is deplorable. I would shop around for a better managed family care facility. read more

I've been a patient for over 30 years. Called today to get a referral to see a chiropractor and was told they do not refer to chiropractor's but would not give me a reason just that it was policy. Terrible policy to have and worse that you only inform patients of this policy when they're inquiring due to a pain issue. Definitely looking for a new PCP come January. read more

My wife became a new patient at the office about a month ago. At her recent (2nd) appointment a nurse told her (in a very condescending way) that she couldn't talk to the doctor about so many issues as each issue requires its own appointment. I don't know if this is the office policy, an insurance requirement, or if the nurse just wanted to get home as it was the last appointment of the day. So instead of letting the doctor know about all of her health concerns, my wife only told him about 2 of them. Leaving out her concerns over an injury that isn't healing, an issue previously flagged by her old doctor to keep an eye on, and her hopes of getting a test to diagnose or rule out a major digestive issue that her family has a history of (and that she's starting to show signs of.) Maybe each of the issues does require a separate appointment for the doctor to truly evaluate them (due to the time and tests involved), but she was shamed by the nurse to the point that she didn't even bring them up to the doctor. So instead of having a game plan for how to go about looking into everything, she has to wait another month just to (hopefully) bring them up to a doctor. I come from a family with many medical professionals (doctors, registered nurses, and pharmacists) and they all make it very clear that you should always tell your doctor everything so they can proceed appropriately. Instead this nurse, with probably 1 year of community college, shamed my wife enough for her to not follow the advice of medical professionals with decades of training and experience. I have nothing bad to say about the doctor himself, he seems competent, but with a staff like that I have no intention of allowing my family to continue treatment at this location any more than I must. I am now researching other offices to find a facility that actually puts its patients first. read more

Bay Area has the MOST inconsiderate, rude and downright arrogant office staff my husband and I have ever met. They do not care about their patients, you are simply a number. If you have an appointment, you can expect to be seen anywhere from 1 to 2 hours AFTER your appointment time. We have been patients there for about 6 years and we have finally had enough. read more

I was seen by Dr. Hopman today. Not only did I wait an hour before I was takin back to wait another 30 minutes. Other patients were told their appointments were canceled and they had no one to see them, even though the patient took the day off and it was scheduled for over 2 weeks doctors should have a 24 hour cancelation notice too. The nurse was great funny andeasy to talk to. Dr. Hopman on the other hand was very judgemental of me ( I have tattoos and wear trendy rock like clothing) she was rude to me and judged every answer that I gave her and followed up my answers with a snide comment. I am in no way a drug addict or have the "addictive personality" gene in fact im just the opposite but because I have been prescribed xanax she treated me like an addict. Then wastelling me that I need to go to a christian counselor after she told me her kids went to a lutheran school. Im not a very religous person but i do have my beliefs but I thought she way over stepped her boundaries with me. I will NOT be returning to this office not only that but i will be my mission to make sure non of my clients or anyone I speak with does either. VERY unprofessional, judgemental and stereotypical. Sorry your so closed minded Dr. I respect everyon for everyone of their imperfections or even a tattoo that tellsa story about their life and where they have been. read more
