Friendly, polite staff give you a warm welcome to this traditional English pub. There's a good selection of beers and spirits and cocktails if so desired. The menu is not overwhelming, around a dozen or so main dishes and half a dozen or so sandwiches. Enough to give you a good choice.
The food itself is nice and appears to be all made in kitchen. My burger was very good, and the Yorkshire pudding with the roast dinner was massive. Personally I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw that accompanied my burger. I think there was beetroot in it, which gave it a weird pink tinge and a tangy taste I didn't like.
Overall though we've eaten here several times when in Hereford, and have always like the food. read more
