I wanted to get a Helix piercing and chose Bay Street Tattoo. I was a bit concerned as I read a couple of bad reviews. When I arrived I was met by my piercer Shari. She was very nice and friendly. We settled on the jewelry and were ready. Shari was very professional and informed. She answered all my questions and concerns and was not put out with my questions. Shari put on gloves and cleaned the ear with alcohol pads. She told me when she was doing everything and before I knew what was going on it was over. Shari told me about their cleaning products but she did not push them. She also explained and showed me how I should clean my piercing. I got both sides of my nose pierced by them and the woman could not have been nicer to me! She gave me all the after care instructions and even advised me on aftercare for piercings I got somewhere else. Apparently hydrogen peroxide is a no-no!! Oops! She was sweet, helpful, and very kind. A few weeks ago my sweet, soon-to-be four year old girl informed me that she would like to get her ears pierced for her birthday. Traditionally in my family that requires a trip to the mall to have a Claire's employee shoot a stud in your ear. Having had my own experiences over the years with both the piercing gun and professional piercers, there was no debate over which one I would choose. There's a parking lot! I wasn't expecting one, being that I usually end up having to find street parking anytime I go to Bayview. Since we got there shortly after noon, it wasn't busy. We didn't have an appointment and only waited briefly while another customer was being helped. The shop is clean and welcoming. Sheri was so kind and patient while explaining the process to my daughter and showing her her jewelry options. I was able to be with her and hold her hands. Sheri offered her a tissue to wipe away her tears after the first ear and waited patiently until she calmed down enough to do the second ear. Five minutes, a stuffed pet, a coloring book, and a few temporary tattoos later, the tears were gone. And despite my daughter telling Sheri that she "never wants to come back here ever again!", I'm definitely keeping it in mind the next time I'm thinking about a new tattoo or piercing! read more

I've received my nose & daith here before my belly button. Always quick & clean, Sherri is very nice. Loved this place before now. - Navel was pierced with jewelry too short. - Called 2 days in a row at different times about pain and swelling, no answer. - Messaged on Facebook, 3 days passed before I got a response. My skin was swallowing the jewelry by then. I was told to make an appointment to have my piercing looked at. There was no availability for a week. - Left me on read when I asked for a refund (since I had to pay another shop to size up my jewelry). Not even an apology for using the wrong sized jewelry, didn't tell me what length I was pierced with. TL;DR - I will not be returning again. Horrible customer service outside of the shop. Do not get your belly button pierced here if you have extra belly fat. It'll be a waste of $50. read more

I got a navel piercing (belly button) and it looks great! The nice woman you pierced me made sure that I was comfortable and talked me through the process and how it'll feel. It was very fast and not painful at all! She then told me how to take care of my piercing and what to expect and if something happens (if the piercing comes out) she'll be able to take care of it. They are very clean and COVID cautious. Make sure to book an appointment because I believe they don't take any walk ins because of covid. i wouldn't go to bay st tattoo shop ever again. sherri's finished product looked shaky and the lines were not complete. the lines are not even and the finished product did not look like the orginal one on paper. every single lines, shapes and everything about the finished tattoo looked aweful, shakey, swiggly and terrible looking. when it was healed, i went to other tat places to get their opinions, rates, cover-ups, ideas, or try to fix it--many of them stated that the price was high for the lack of quality, shading, work and size. i regret getting it done by sherri at bay st tattoo. go somewhere else. read more
