One block away from the last stop of the R train, this small but captivating shop is the perfect thing to shake off the horrible experience that is to ride the R "Rarely" train. If after coming out to the street from the station you feel down, exhausted, irritated or hungry, the açai bowls these guys make are simply ridiculous (and this is coming from someone who loved in Brazil). They also work with a point system and give you rewards as you accumulate them. Besides the Açai Bowls they also have juices, and other kind of bowls but (maybe its just me) who cares!!! - If you are there and get a green juice of anything else other than their açai bowls, its your loss. Also, the owner is a very nice guy. He will answer all your annoying redundant questions with a smile on his face and honest eagerness to show off the greatness of his products. Bowls are too icy and the fruit they use is frozen so all of the flavor is lost. If you like frozen bowls then this might be your thing, but not really for me. read more

We love Baya Bar and even though it's a bit pricey we frequent it as often as possible. I was very disappointed to be charged $1.50 extra for Nutella when the menu said $1. The guy said, "Oh yeah, we have to change that." Hey Baya-BAD BUSINESS. I'm so pissed and I'll stick with Playa. read more

I was so happy when I discovered this place in Bay Ridge. I've tried all of their bowls, and they're all delicious. My favorites are the coconut and kale bowls. Between going in person and ordering for delivery, I've had a baya bowl every other day this summer haha. read more

Absolutely love this place. My only complaint is that I wish it opened earlier! I'd love to be able to add a green juice or a protein shake before I start my day, which is unfortunately before 10 am! Otherwise everything is awesome and I'm SO glad they came to Bay Ridge. read more

Their bowls are so delicious that they were worth the drive into Brooklyn from Staten Island, but now the Staten Island location is open and I couldn't be happier. The place just gives such a positive vibe and their bowls are not only great in taste, but presentation as well! The bowls are also made with all organic, dairy free products. For someone like me who's gluten intolerant, they also offer gluten and nut free granola that's amazing! The employees are very friendly and work with big smiles on their faces so you can tell they're just as happy to be there as the customers are! this place really pissed me off... I'm never one to write a bad review I love eating clean and have ordered from this place several times as i live nearby... I was passing by from metfood (they didnt sell acai) I asked if i could purchase the acai and the lady behind the register pulled it out and had no issue selling it to me but the man making the bowl refused to sell it to me after I specifically told him to upcharge me...he was pretty f'n rude about it... his demeanor really threw me off... needless to say I'll be going to other establishments to buy my own fruits, granola etc instead of giving them any more of my business....if that guys the owner he def does not belong in the service industry...i always support local bay ridge business but after this experience id recommend getting your own fruit and saving your money... nothing proprietary about this place except some guy behind the counter to piss you off... read more
