First I want to clarify that even though patina is listed as home care, it is not home health care…read moreFor older people requiring assistance with the activities of daily living. It is a full scale physician practice which provides all services, and incorporate home nurses in the event Do you need a physical exam or some other hands-on care. These folks have figured out how to deliver quality healthcare efficiently. Each patient is assigned a "health champion" Who is virtually always available and will arrange for whatever kind of appointment you need, or answer any question that you might have. In addition, you are assigned a primary care physician, and a home nurse for those situations, like a physical exam or a serious illness, where do you need someone to visit your home. All other care is given over their video app. Unfortunately at this time this is only available to people over 65. I can't recommend them highly enough. For the first time in years I feel like I really have a doctor, and supporting staff I can really rely on. Previous to this I was using Doylestown primary care in Buckingham. For the last two years my primary care physician has spent well over half my 15 minute session trying to sell me on statins even though I told her that they are too controversial at this point and I do not wish to take them. I was with this Buckingham group for 42 years, and they used to have real family doctors who really knew their patients. Now it just seems like their care is almost robotic. I am absolutely delighted that I found patina.

My original review was removed because JEVS CAH cares more about its own image than the ABJECT HARM…read moreit causes, so I'm re-posting the exact original sans 2 sur-names, which is the grounds JEVS CAH was able to use according to YELP ORIGINAL REVIEW: Avoid, avoid, avoid. YOU DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH THIS UNETHICAL AGENCY. Save yourself the risk, anxiety, and the hassle. Working with them has been exhausting at best; traumatic at worst. I've been a client for several years. In this period of time they've sent PCAs (PCA = Personal Care Attendant) out who have asked for (and taken!!) my rx Palliative Care medication. They've sent PCAs who have stolen from me and my family. They've sent PCAs who were "no call, no show" for 5+ weeks straight, with no replacement. No one is ever available to help on the emergency line, if it's even answered. Usually, if someone answers they tell you there's nothing they can do. (What's the point in having an emergency line if nothing can even be addressed in an emergent manner?) The office staff does not value or include their client's voice in most, if any, matters. It's often impossible to stay in contact with the care coordinators. They've tried to say that some of their responsibilities were the responsibility of my care coordinator with my insurance company when that was not the case. Most recently I had a temporary PCA who was an absolute NIGHTMARE. She seemed great at first...but, then showed her true colors. She threatened to harm my special needs emotional support cat (instead of taking direction regarding my cat's medical condition), she accused me of self diagnosing my conditions (I have genetic testing/imaging/labs/etc. proving my conditions), she was displeased when I told her I would not spank or hit my young children to guide their behavior, she refused to follow food prep directions (stating: I know what I am doing!) which resulted in me cracking a molar, she did not adhere to infectious disease protocol laid out by my doctors (I am immunocompromised and immunosuppressed...and as a direct result, I got very ill during my post-infusion recovery period and I pray I won't need hospitalization because of this), she kept breaking protocol as far as the job description, and she was incredibly unprofessional and judgemental. At one point while I was orienting her, she tried to convince me that I was having a medical emergency when there was none. (My team of doctors would write statements on my behalf regarding this, and that there was no emergency.) As I tried to explain to her that I was just dealing with a condition that I have lived with for decades, she FELT her opinion outweighed my own lived experience and my doctors' knowledge. An ableist PCA is a dangerous PCA! She also asked some very personal questions about my family, and (silly me) I answered assuming she cared about the wellbeing of my family...but, unfortunately her demeanor towards all of us changed afterwards. I should have fired her after she threatened to harm my cat, but they don't tend to have good (if any) replacement PCAs to come in a timely manner. So instead, because she was one of the "better" PCAs, I allowed her to stay, because I needed the care. I deeply regret this. When this PCA informed me that she was quitting, I felt relieved...but, that was short lived, as the agency then proceeded to DISCHARGE ME as a client, based on this PCA's false allegations. When I reached out about these concerns and more, there was no response. If JEVS CAH decides to take accountability for trying to brush marginalized clients like myself under the rug and takes the appropriate actions that would be expected by a responsible and ethical Home Healthcare Agency (HHA), I will change this review to reflect their actions. As of now, I have been left hanging, and am scrambling (while incredibly ill with whatever virus their temporary PCA gave me - and during a holiday weekend) to find a replacement agency that accepts the Medicaid Waiver so I don't wind up losing my battle for my health and life. Omara my former care coordinator, Amanda the Director of Compliance, and Janon the CEO are unwilling to respond despite my dental and periodontal problems caused directly by the temporary PCA. (My insurances will not cover the work I need, and this puts my teeth at risk, in addition to the possiblity of the infection traveling to my heart because I'm immunocompromised and immunosuppressed.) PS & Update: JEVS CAH upended my life AND my entire family's lives in September 2024 (it's January 2025 - Happy New Year!) and we're still suffering from the wrongdoing by JEVS CAH. JEVS cares more about having good PR than giving good care and treating clients/former clients appropriately. I'll change my review if they actually do the right thing.

The whole place needed to be restructured. The organization was poorly run. No one was willing to train me properly. The other woman were extremely rude to me.. One morning I actually sat in the parking lot and cried before I went into work. It was one of the most horrible experiences. The woman whose place I talk told me I was not going to like it there. I sent her a text telling her they were b******. She promptly sent it to the boss. Thank God I was let go. And then they stole $250 from me. I mailed the front door key back to them and they took $250 out of my final paycheck because they said they didn't get it. My neighbor put it in the mailbox himself and I trust him very much. Huge rip off of our medical system. All home care people sent are next to useless. Untrained and do very very little. Have come home early to find some sleeping. Intrusive and bossy are some; they forget who is paying who. Thank goodness for the smart phones for that is where they devote the bulk of their attention. If you are paying out of pocket then find other resources for care. Sadly no one wants to bother with someone who ages. Good luck!!!!
