I've almost lived in these apartments for a year and I can say, they are pretty good. It's income…read morebased, so it's based off your income. I'm currently on the new side in a 2 bedroom apartment. It includes a washer and dryer area (washer and dryer not included, of course), kitchen, dining room area, bar, living room, hallway that includes a coat closet and another closet where you're probably suppose to put all your towels and wash clothes, but I use it for a pantry, as one is not provided, two bedrooms, and a bathroom at the end of the hallway. The bedrooms are not huge, but big enough. There are lights, but no fans. There is a doorbell on each apartment, which I find nice (although no one seems to like to ring them for some reason). Maintenance does come every month to do fire alarm checks, and about every 3 months to change your filter and extermination. Since it is income based, you have to keep your apartment clean. I'm not a big cleaner, and being a single mom to a 5 year old while working full time, it seems to never stay clean. The maintenance people will tell the land lord if your apartment is not clean and unless it's a big issue, they probably won't say anything unless they catch you near the office. You do get a 24 hour notice though before they do do any of those checks, so you have time to clean up. ;) The neighborhood and community is really nice. They have playgrounds and bike racks for the kids. They occasionally hold events for the whole complex, like parties, and garage sales, which is nice. The speed limits is 5 mph, which needs to be bumped up to 10 in my opinion since everyone goes that speed limit anyways (come on, a kid can walk faster then 5 mph.) So, it's a nice place to stay for anyone who needs something that works at a minimum pay job. The time that you fill out the application, turn it in and actually get in the apartment is about a month if a spot is already available.
