We were in route to an urgent care…read morewhen I saw the hospital sign and told John, you know..... a hospital would be a better idea. Good thing he agreed a half mile later! I turned around and off to the ER we went. John got "fast tracked", not that it's fast- it just really means they know going in that he won't be admitted. It took a while to be taken back- he was triaged in the front pretty quickly though. Once back- they sent xray fairly quickly and then we waited. A couple hours later the nurse walked in with discharge papers and we laughed because he hadn't seen the doctor- who strolled in just as we were saying that. John's like, so it isn't broke? and this time the doc laughed- oh it's broken alright! He ran through the diagnosis and that John needs to follow up with an orthopedic, to rotate taking ibprophen and Tylenol and ice, ice baby. And we were gone.

I don't understand these bad reviews. i was taken here, by ambulance, after destroying my knee. i…read morecan't think of a single issue, other than improper pain management (100% my surgeon's responsibility) which was eventually rectified. The nursing staff was incredible. They were all the most caring and attentive group I've ever encountered. Not a single issue. Not being able to walk, I appreciated the external urine catheter. SCIENCE! i was also put into a fairly new part of the facility. My roommate was noisy and restless. I asked for a private room, and BOOM! Moved immediately. The food? In a hospital? I felt like i was at a spa. It was exceptional. I was sent to rehab for a week, and then returned for my next surgery. The rehab facility was soooooo bad, they let me stay a couple of extra days. That meant extra time with my PT guy, Matt, who was the highlight of my whole experience. He managed to keep my spirits up, and I'll never forget that. The entire staff was outstanding. I wish I could thank everyone, individually. If and when I need a hospital visit, I know where I'm going. With much gratitude. (Nov 2024)

I am beyond appalled at the treatment my 90-year-old mother received after her ablation and…read morepacemaker surgery on April 9th. The care she received was way below poor quality--it was total neglect and a serious failure to meet the basic standard of care. This is not just an unhappy comment; this is a much more serious situation involving the health and safety of a vulnerable patient. At one point, she had an accident on the floor and in her bed, and they chose to leave the floor dirty for 30 minutes. instead of changing her sheets, they just put a pad over the wet bed and left her lying there. This is a massive infection risk and a complete disregard for patient dignity and sanitation. The food was also completely unacceptable. It actually smelled bad, the bread was hard as a rock, and the nuggets were mushy and inedible. When she asked for crackers, the nurse never even returned. When she finally saw her again and asked about them, the nurse just said they didn't have any. On top of that, she was left sitting in the bathroom by herself for over 30 minutes until she literally had to scream for help. She is 90 years old and just had heart surgery; leaving her unattended like that is a terrifying fall risk and a failure of safety protocols. To make matters worse, the doctor had a terrible attitude with my sister just for asking questions, and then he made my mother wait until 2:30 PM the next day to finally be discharged. Since coming home, she is feeling terribly sick and has developed a horrible cough, which I'm sure is from the neglect and the unsanitary conditions she was forced to endure. I'm shocked that a hospital can be this bad. The nurses on duty after her surgery on April 9 mid-day and all day on April 10th, clearly need basic training on how to actually do their jobs and treat patients with respect. We felt totally rushed into this because of a referral, but after seeing the other comments here, it's clear this is a systemic issue. I've already called to report this and I will be following up with the patient advocate to ensure no other elderly patient is treated with such negligence.

I voluntarily admitted myself to this facility for treatment and was deeply disturbed by the…read moreconduct of the staff. Anthony (RN), Taniya (Case Manager), Dr. Hasan, "CC" (Med Tech), and Martha (Therapist) should all be ashamed of the way patients are treated here. At intake, I was explicitly told that my latest discharge date would be Friday. When Friday arrived, I was then informed--without justification--that I would be required to stay an additional three days. I do not have a history of substance abuse involving hard drugs, nor do I have any violent or criminal background. This was my first experience in a facility of this kind, and the lack of transparency and disregard for patient autonomy is unacceptable. During my stay, I experienced what I consider neglect and mistreatment. Physicians were largely absent and failed to conduct proper evaluations. The conditions were unsanitary my bathroom remained smeared in feces for three days, forcing me to avoid using it altogether. This is not only negligent but a serious health concern. Staff members frequently spoke to patients in a dismissive and demeaning manner, demonstrating a clear lack of empathy. I was also placed in situations where I had to disclose sensitive HIPAA-protected information in public areas, which is entirely inappropriate and a violation of patient dignity. While admitted, I developed strep throat and was informed by multiple nurses that they were unable to provide medication. This level of inaction toward a clear medical issue is unacceptable. Upon discharge, I was also not given any prescriptions or medication due to being released "AMA". The staff continued to threaten me with sedation and restrain though I had never cursed and expressed I did wish to be violent or belligerent. Additionally, the facility itself is poorly maintained and offers little to no meaningful resources for patients to engage in therapeutic or constructive activities throughout the day. It gives the impression of a system more focused on financial gain than patient care. What is most troubling is the apparent normalization of these conditions by the staff. Patients seeking help deserve professionalism, respect, and proper care not neglect and disregard. I intend to formally report this facility to the appropriate authorities, including the Florida Disability Rights organization, and will be pursuing further action. This level of care should not be tolerated. You all should be ashamed!!!!! I wish you nothing but the spiciest of diarrhea :)

TLDR-- Clean, nice staff, long wait time, probably would never draw blood again from here…read more The Review: The nurses were kind, the establishment was clean, and the services they had were plentiful. My experience, however, was not the best. The waiting time was surprisingly long despite being second in line. I waited for 40 minutes in the waiting room which wasn't a big deal for me but I was in the actual exam room for a long time, and it wasn't a very busy day. At one point I was alone in the waiting room. Once they finally got to me, I explained how I felt, since I had flu like symptoms and I needed some blood work done, and that's where my bad time was had. Here's the deal, nobody likes needles. I was told I have tiny veins, and after sticking me three times and two different arms I didn't end up getting the blood sample I needed. As soon as they pulled the needle out, blood was all over my arm, and some fell to the floor. Honestly, I'm a bit traumatized. I've had blood taken out before, and it has been very quick, almost painless, and one and done. This was a rough experience for me and idk if I can bring myself to go back after that. This was just my experience. I don't want to trash on the whole urgent care because people did seem very kind, but the waiting time was pretty long for an office that didn't seem so busy. I did after the third needle have a mini panic attack and they got me water and calmed me down. They gave me a slip to go to quest diagnostics after a few days because they couldn't get the bloodwork they needed. It's been a rough 2025 start, fam. Hoping that folks have better experiences than me.

Another Melissa who is a care giver whom I have dealt with in the past reviewed everything, answered my questions with no rushing. There is a fantastic group of people at this Spring Hill AFC and i feel comfortable in knowing they really do care! Bless you all!
