Grand Roofing was the second company that I got an estimate from, the estimate from Grand Roofing was significantly less than the other company due to a lot less "padding" in the estimate from Grand Roofing and a more focused scope of work. For example, estimate # 1 wanted to replace all shingles going up the roof for maybe 15 feet whereas Grand Roofing replaced 3-5 feet where the leak was actually occurring. Another area of "padding" in the other estimate was 4 hours of labor ($553) to fix the other issues with my roof which were addressed by Grand Roofing in under an hour. I went with Grand Roofing: they fixed the leak and were able to address the other roof issues for a much more reasonable estimate. Hopefully I won't need a new roof for another decade but if I do I'm definitely going to be going with Grand Roofing again due to their honest business practices.

My roof was having some issues after a wind and hailstorm this summer and I started to get bids to replace it. Jesse gave me a bid that was in the middle of the pack. Jesse of Sisk Roofing have been recommended to me by someone in Kokomo. After I reviewed his initial bid and contacted him to discuss it, he decided to take a second look at the roof before talking to me. Upon closer inspection, he determined only part of the roof needed to be replaced and that he would stand behind his work for 10 years on a job where he was roofing over a single existing layer. His roofing work ended up costing me over $7000 less than his original price. Obviously, Jesse is an honest man, who relies upon his reputation for his business. He understood my situation as a long-distance landlord and when I asked him for other referrals, he was a great resource. I now have peace of mind if any other issues come up with my property. I needed also to have insulation in the attic, according to my tenants and one handyman I had hired. Jesse pulled off every roof vent and determined that the entire attic was already adequately insulated. Who knows how much that saved me! And then he found me someone to put on a gutter. Not only is he honest but he stands by his word. A contractor who was going to do some other work under Jesse for me, didn't get me a bid when he had promised Jesse. During covid our air went out and we called Jim's Appliances to look at the central air, which was the original to the house. They determined that we needed a new central air. We waited until last year to replace it. We had Jim's Appliance install a new central air system. We only used our central air for about 3 months last year. When we started it this summer, ít wasn't working properly, so we called Jim Appliances back for a service call. We knew it should be covered by the Warranty since it was less than a year old. They looked at it and got it working. It then still wasn't keeping the house cool the way we thought that it should be. They again came out and said we needed 2 additional vents. One of the vents was installed poorly and our new flooing was damaged. The vents did not seem to help, so we cslled them again. They came out a third time and it still did not fix the air. Because it still wasn't working, we decided to call someone else, even though we would be charged a service fee The new company came out yesterday and said that our air compressor was bad in the central air conditioner. While looking at the air and since both are connected, they also looked at our furnace and under our house, they determined that our furnace was a fire hazard, and we should not use it until it was fixed or replaced. Needless to say, we are very unhappy with the service that we got from Jims appliances.
