Their office staff were always great - really efficient, friendly and they knew their stuff. Julie who worked there was particularly on the ball - I'm not sure if she'd been there any longer than the rest of the staff, or if she was just really capable. Either way, if Julie was onto it then by and large you'd get your problem sorted. We never received many complaints about Butco - other than sometimes being slower off the mark than people would have liked, but that's just busyness for you, and you can't really blame a company for that!

I have never gone into this shop and been unable to find what I'm looking for. It is stacked from floor to ceiling with useful stuff. The staff are really knowledgable and helpful. The last time I went in I needed some clear grout for the kitchen. Had absolutely no idea where to find it, what it was or how to use it. When I turned up in the shop I also had my son in the pushchair. The guys behind the counter patienty explained what I would need, went to get it for me as I couldn't manoeuvre the pushchair round the narrow shelves and then showed me how to use it. Thy even fitted the grout ino the gun thingy for me. Now, that is hat I call service. The price is good, the service great and it's a bit like a DIY grotto, what more could you possibly want from a local shop.

Spoke directly to the company owner James who explained that it was his company and he would be fitting our job if we decided to go ahead with it. We were very impressed at his professionalism and has certainly got his head screwed on when it comes to business. Some of the things he explained i had never heard of before but we were impressed with what he showed us and his proposal of work. The price was a lot less that we thought and couldn't believe how great the kitchen looked after woods. It now looks like a show home and all supplied fitted and rubbish removed for 1200 pounds. I love a great service and i am happy to recommend anyone that gives me such, so on that basis i would recommend James and Modern Kitchen Makeovers to everyone, it is a great idea he has come up with, and during the economic state as it is its great for people like us who want to improve their home without breaking the bank. You can click onto quite a bargain at Devlins with their offcuts. They provide a free measuring up service, carry a lot of stock and tend to be able to fit quite quickly. The store used to be in an old converted petrol station which always looked a bit scruffy, when they moved to neare the canal it improved their appeal considerably. I have had an off cut of carpet edged here and made into a runner style mat for the hall. This means it matched the carpet and i got to choose the size so that it fits the space instead of making do. I recomentd this store.

It's possible to fin some classic wooden bookshelves for only £60 and they have a range of products for living, dinning and bedrooms or even kids furniture that are just gorgeous.
