The clinic is right on top of the St. Clair subway station, for easy access by transit, and is easy to find being on the main floor of the office building. Inside, the clinic is completely renovated to an upscale, professional and airy space, with numerous treatment rooms. I came in for massage therapy + chiropractic treatment with Dr. Leung. I was greeted by their incredibly sweet receptionist, who ensured Dr. Leung was immediately notified of my arrival. I spent very little time in the waiting area (which was also spacious and comfy) before I was whisked off for my treatments. Dr. Leung had a quick chat with me to see where my trouble spots were, and made sure to focus the treatment to target it. I've been carrying lots of tension in my upper back, which is a difficult area to treat, but came out feeling like I was floating and like a teenager again. A teenager with no back problems, that is...which is fantastic. The clinic also made the payment process very smooth - they can process most insurance claims directly with the provider. Hassle free, which is what I like. Online appointments, confirmation system all in place...love the efficiency!

It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.

You do have your own space for the massage. The walls are high, but not high enough to the ceiling. I heard the guy in the room next to me getting stretched and then my boss talking to the receptionist during my massage - neither helping me relax for the massage. The room was clean-ish but I've definitely been to cleaner (including Step Up across the street). The massage was ok. I had lower back pain and still have lower back pain, so not the best. Also I got scratched a couple times. The worst part though was the conversation. What clearly was meant to be helpful really took away from the experience. I was suggested other services for things I'm treating in other ways and also told to lose weight. Granted, I am overweight, but as someone who has been that way for some time, I clearly know that less weight is better. This wasn't something I needed to be lectured about while getting a massage. My masseuse asked if they could be direct before telling me to lose weight and I said yes but the none direct method before of asking me about my appetite and portions I eat and if I stress eat made it pretty obvious where the "direct" advise was going. I wanted to enjoy it and I seriously debated writing this, but I would hate for someone more sensitive than me to go in and have the same experience and walk away actually sad.

I had sprained my lat at the gym and was prescribed anti-inflammatory medication by my doctor. By the third week I was still experiencing pain and stiffness, needless to say I was fed up. I decided to go to a sports injury therapist and found Matvey Kipershtein at YMT. After one session with him I was free of my pain. The next day I no longer had the pain or stiffness and within a couple days I was back at the gym. Matvey is skilled, knowledgeable and honest. He knows his stuff and will answer any questions you have. There was never any pressure for follow up appointments and during my appointment there was never any feelings of a time constraint (as stated in the three star review).

He did a really good job at eliminating the knots in my back and I would come back to see him again. Since then, I have also tried Sean, Jacky, and Sophia - all of whom are equally good. The thing I liked the most was that they have hot towels to wipe off your back after the treatment, which is an added bonus since most other places don't offer hot towels. Despite the slight confusion in scheduling resulting in a 15-20 minute wait, the overall quality of massage and service received was excellent. The RMT suggested light exercises I could perform while at work to help with my overall sitting posture to minimize back pain I was experiencing. She was very professional overall. I will definitely come back again (when my insurance renews)!
