I can't recall having a massage that I didn't like before, so this was a first. I can genuinely say that my experience here was subpar from beginning to end. I made an appointment for prenatal massage at this location because it had decent reviews and my usual RMT (at another place) was away on vacation. I arrived early, as requested, to fill out the history questionnaire that didn't appear to be reviewed afterwards by the therapist at all. Like Anna V's experience, the therapist didn't ask me any questions about what I wanted focused on, nor did she pay any special attention to the areas that I indicated in the questionnaire were giving me the most issues. My massage started more than 5 minutes after my scheduled time, yet ended promptly upon the hour. I'm not sure how much experience this therapist had with prenatal massage, but it was definitely the worst of all the massages I received during this and my previous pregnancy. Like Anna V, I was also told to "take your time and leave" at the end of the appointment, however unfortunately the massage left me with what felt like a pinched nerve in my lower back so I could barely get off the table and walking was painful afterwards. I alerted the therapist to this when I made it back to the front reception and she seemed surprised and told me that if it still hurt after a few days(!) to call them back. It's only been a few hours now, but it's still painful. The ironic part is that I wasn't experiencing any lower back pain before getting this massage. I have a membership and I have been going now for about a year. I love it. It is so relaxing and the massages are so great. All of the RMTs I've been to are very professional and know exactly what they're doing. They let you know about areas of tension they found and really work out the knots. I really think the membership is a great idea because it forces me to go once a month and I've really noticed a decrease in stress. My back always feels so much better and working on my feet as a nurse it's a great help. If you have benefits that cover massage you can also submit your bill to your insurance company. If you've been thinking about going in to try it out then I say go for it! read more

I see a massage therapist twice a month. I've been loyal to two therapists for years. I screwed up and missed booking spots for October. I thought I'd give Massage Addicts on Queen a shot because it is conveniently located. The place is nice enough. However right from the beginning I was turned off. As I waited past my appointment time, someone walked in with a coffee in hand and massage oil belt dressed super causal. This I found unprofessional. This was one of their female therapists. Long story short - the massage was horrible. Ten minutes in I was wondering how to say stop without making it very uncomfortable. I kept hoping it would get better, it didn't. I payed for a hour massage and luckily I was brought in late and cut short. Next time I miss a booking I'll definitely pass on this place. read more

I visited the clinic for the first time today. The receptionist was so pleasant and was immediately excited to see what was in store. Although the massage therapist did the job, it was by far one of the poorest experiences I have had with a therapist. She had no interest in asking me what I was there for, in fact, after the appointment she told me to "take my time and leave" without letting me know about what I can work on or how to improve the tension in my muscles which is why I do these manual therapy sessions for any way. read more

I was on vacation in Toronto spending a relaxing day at The Beach when I was lured in by the $39 first time massage offer. It seemed to good to be true, but even a bad massage for $39 is a good deal. To my surprise, the RMT, Robert, did an incredible job. He focused on all of the points that I needed massaged. He was very knowledgable and gave a top notch massage. If I lived in Toronto I would definitely go back again and ask for Robert! read more

Very difficult to get a response over the phone. Tried to call a number of times and no response but when you finally get someone on the phone the receptionist is not very helpful and sounds like she doesn't really like her job. When I tried to book a massage and nothing was available for the requested times she didn't bother to try to ask to look for another date/time, rather she rushed off the phone. Very unfortunate because I just moved closer and would have been more convenient to go to this location but with this said I will continue to go to the danforth and broadview location as there costumer service and massage services are amazing! read more

I have been going to Robert Virga regularly for a few weeks after a long absence. He is a great masseuse and his work has really helped with ongoing back problems and joint pain. Therapeutic massage has been effective in helping chronic inflammation in my hips. read more

Recently tried this location for the 1st time (I have been to 2 other massage addict locations in the past). The service was friendly and my massage therapist was very good (Jessica was her name). Bright & clean environment (just like all massage addict locations I have ventured to). Got the intro session: 49$ for the hour. Would recommend trying these guys out; especially for the massage novices, who are looking for a nice first-time experience at a very reasonable price. read more

I just had a massage at Massage Addict in the Beach. I have been getting massages routinely for many years. I just joined Massage Addict's membership today after having an awesome massage by Greg C at this location. I had a full hour. Where I normally prefer a full hour of full body massage, I went into my massage today looking for a focus on key difficult areas that I'm currently experiencing. Greg was very focused, attentive, professional and just the right pressure. The location is convenient, clean and comfortable. I look forward to returning next month for my next massage! read more

I have been a member since june 2013 and I am enjoying every session. The first time I payed $39 dollars for a 60 minutes massage. After that I decided to get a membership, which requires me or another person that I pointed as my dependent to attend at least one visit per month paying $59 per 60 minutes massage. You can ask for a receipt to claim if you have insurance. I had different massage therapists and all of them were good. My favorite is Lisa Marie but she is not available all the time. I had also Vanessa and Robert. Robert is very knowable and will give you tips about stretching. Lisa Marie is a small woman but extremely strong don't fool yourself and ask deep massage moderate is good enough. Michel is an excellent massage therapist and I would recommend full body massage he will give you foot massage and also face and hand massage. :D I'm very pleased with this place and I will continue having my massage every month. Went for 1hr massage today. The front desk staff wasn't overly friendly - there were two people (a man and a woman) and it looks like the woman was new and being trained. I was invited to the room and my massage therapist was Daphne. She was ok. That was probably the shortest hour I've ever experienced. She was very average, I left feeling ok, but nothing spectacular or a sense of relief after going there. I was looking forward to that feeling. They have a $39 intro special and then members gets $59 and non members I believe $79 or $89 for an hour massage. I was considering joining, but after today, I don't think so. I've had a few massages here because it's close to my house and I was in extreme pain. However, I will no longer be using Massage Addict. I hope this feedback encourages the company to make some changes. 1) Some of the receptionists are rude and make you feel like you're inconveniencing them. 2) After the introductory massage deal, the regular prices are more expensive than other RMTs in close proximity. 3) Their membership is a bad deal. The offer is $10 off the already inflated prices - then if you don't go every month you get charged anyway. Then to use that paid for massage you have to book two massages within a calendar month, and it has to be within 60 days. So if you miss one appointment and can't use it within the time period, you lose $79 ($69.99 + tax). There goes the so called benefit of the membership for 8 months! 4) Each of my massages were for less time than paid for. You arrive early - but you wait until after the scheduled start time to be taken to the room - then they leave you a long time while you get on the massage bed - so you start 15 min late, but guess what - they still stop the massage at exactly the end time. Pay for a 60 min massage, get a 45 min massage. read more

my spouse has been here twice, first time stephanie was too strong despite asking for a lighter massage, 2nd time it was I donno who but instead of 60 min massage she give 40min massage and 20min stretch excercise which was not asked at all we can do it at home also we have unlimited physiotherapy by insurance then why can't she understand we don't need her stretch excercises??? I can't massage my own back right? so you get what you pay for, then it's not that cheap at all for 40 mins you pay 90 plus tax bcuz don't forget they advertise their prices without tax! so this place is only good for the first time for 40+hst..... by the way our regular place charges 110 and we r always satisfied therefore we _won't_ change to this place ever! read more

I've been getting massages for over 10 years. I've been to several different places on the hunt for my ideal massage. The people that work at massage addict in Milton are all very warm and welcoming. The location is beautiful. I've been seeing the same rmt for the past 3 visits and he is very nice and he gives the PERFECT massage. He doesn't talk my ear off, but he checks in to make sure the pressure is good. His technique is great. The price is reasonable and I like that my first massage was at a discounted price. I'm thinking of becoming a monthly member. The massages are helping me with my sleep and with my headaches. When I go in with specific areas that are especially tense, Michael is able to pinpoint exactly where the pain is coming from and work out all the knots. I booked a massage here because I couldn't resist the $39 1-hour massage special. I know that Massage Addict is a "membership-based" business, and I was afraid I was going to get sold to the whole time. Like sitting in a time-share presentation. Come in for the $39 massage, stay for the 1 hour presentation, don't leave till you sign-up for an expensive membership sort of thing. I was very wrong. My therapist was terrific - I got one of the best massages I've ever had. She never tried to sell to me once; it was all about fixing my back and muscles. Once I got dressed and paid, the girl at the desk asked me if I knew about their membership program. She told me a bit about it, I told her I wasn't interested in committing to a whole year, and she politely told me that I could always come back and pay the non-member price. The non-member price for 1-hour of treatment is extremely competitive and I told her I would definitely be back. All in all, I was very very surprised and happy with the service I received, and I will absolutely be back. read more
