When you try to get an inspection but receive no updates from the inspector you spoke with until you reach back out a number of times... One follow up contact with an apology for not getting around to the inspection. Fine. Well... How about another update after that? Are you going to DO the inspection or not??? Seems it's a NO. It also seems the business doesn't really need or WANT our business. Forced to go with someone else. That's frustrating when you try to support local. I emailed, I called... Why is there a request for service/response from your company via a website when no one responds back??? Bad business practice to just ignore a potential customer for no reason. ... I/we could not have been more pleased with the work performed by Matt and Bayou State Roofing. We had received several estimates, and they were twice as high as what Bayou State Roofing did the job and they used superior materials than the others had included in their estimates. Their customer service was A+ in that not one time did I ever reach out to them that they did not answer immediately or call me back within a brief period. Their entire crew was helpful, professional, and incredibly willing to do whatever it took to make us happy. My family once owned a local business and my father always stressed customer service as the key to success in business. Well, today customer service has become a lost art that you rarely see or receive anymore. This company obviously puts their client's 1st, and it shows in every way from their courtesy, their professionalism, their pricing, the materials they use and the communication they maintain with you before, during and after the job is complete! contractors left roof uncovered and protected prior to a rainstorm and caused damage to interior of home. Matt (owner) called us and let him know the roofers would be there Monday morning 06/29/2020, contractors were at my home and working on the roof, they worked on my roof from about 630 am to approx. 8 pm that evening, not completing it. Matt called to verify that things went well that day, we let him know that they did and he said they would be back the next day. On 06/30/2020 no one showed up. On 07/01/2020 contractors were back out working on the flat roof and finishing the back half of my roof, they left about 530 pm that day. My husband noticed that fascia boards had been busted and there was tar all over the drip edge. As well as shingles hanging over the side of the flat roof, there was still paper on the far right corner of the roof where shingles had not been laid. Matt said they would get it cleaned up and taken care of. On 07/02/2020 no one showed up. On 07/03/2020 no one had been to our house yet. My husband called Matt to see when someone would be there at that point Matt said that they were finished and the job was completed. My husband told Matt that no it wasn't complete the flat roof was not done, there was still paper on my roof, the fascia board were still busted and tar was still on the drip edge. Around 130 that afternoon a storm started to roll in. Water was pouring in my house the entire length of the flat roof because the roof was not completed. Through the door frames, through the walls, through the ceiling in the living room, kitchen, under my wood floors, the master bedroom carpet and 2 bathrooms the out door covered patio plywood. My husband called Matt and told him it was raining in the house. Branston at that same time called to tell me that the boys doing that flat roof had gotten over heated on 07/01/2020 when they were working on that and they would be back on Monday, I let him know that was the least of my concerns that water was pouring in my house. He rushed over with a crew and got a tarp put up and in place. I at that point posted on my neighborhood page that anyone who was using bayou state roofing should strongly reconsider and everything that had happened up to that point, with pictures of the damage. My 2 yr. old floors had water coming up under them. Matt called my husband asking for the post to be taken down that it was causing harm to his business, they promised they would take care of the damage and replace everything damaged. I took the post down per my husband's request. The following day 07/04/2020 I came home to Melissa and another lady in my home to look at the damage, she stated several times that she was on the apology tour and it's not as bad as it looks they would take care of it. On Monday Cole called me to see when they could send someone out. I told him Tuesday and Wednesday would be best for us, I called my husband to let him know and he disagreed said that he would prefer to be there so he can make sure he is aware of what's going on. I at that point text Cole and let him know, no response. Since this was common with Cole and I started a group text with Cole, Taylor, and Matt informing them that Thursday- Sunday would be fine. They did send someone out to work on the outside issues and were able to get the tar on the drop edge cleaned up, the damage to the fascia boards was just patched and painted over not repaired. On 4 scheduled times for contractors to come and being work on the repairs no one showed up. I have since had to file another insurance claim to get the repairs started and hire another contractor. I filed a complaint with the BBB on 07/17/2020 and they still have not responded. read more

Had Bayou do a roof of mine in Southern Hills and they were 100% professionals from start to finish. They handled all paperwork with insurance company/adjuster, and were in and out from delivery of product on Wednesday to completed roof Thursday afternoon. They even upgraded the roof to ridge vents from turbines (whirly birds as I call them), and did away with the metal strips in the valleys and went with a closed cut seamless look. The house definitely pops now when driving past it. Highly recommended. read more

I did not realize how low my expectations of customer service had become until I hired Bayou State Roofing to replace my parent's roof. Their work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to customer satisfaction reminded me of how things used to be when people took pride in their work and always did their best to satisfy their customers.   Everyone was so courteous and professional, from Matt the owner, to James the site manager and even the work crews.   I was amazed one night when I called with a little concern and  within 5 minutes someone was at my house to take care of it.  Even after the project was done anytime I called with a question or concern it was addressed and if needed somebody was at my house the same day. Because of the exceptional level of customer service I received I have already hired Bayou State roofing a second time and am getting ready to do it again.  With every job the service keeps getting better.
