If he was too busy to do it he should just be open and honest and tell me and that would have been OK. Trust is SUPER important when dealing with personal financials... I had to practically chase Robert down on multiple occasions/channels (via text, cell, AND email....) to find out if he did my taxes and submitted them for me. He assured me that he submitted them for me electronically and would send me a confirmation. This was in early October 2020. I contacted him in late October 2020, no response. I contacted in him in November 2020, no response. I contacted him in December 2020, no response.... you see the pattern here. I followed up with the IRS and found that my taxes were NEVER submitted. Contacted Robert again... no response (are you surprised?). I ended up having to do my taxes myself (via TurboTax) in December 2020. It is now February 2021 and the IRS is still processing mail-in returns due to COVID delays. Basically, due to Robert's lack of communication and lack of accuracy my 2019 tax returns still have yet to be filed by the IRS. Thanks Robert!... Once again, if you were just open and honest from the start I could have had this all taken care of electronically and be done with it. Work on your communication skills, do what you say you will do, and improve your accuracy and then maybe you can keep your clients....

The things that I dislike about doing this prep work are the fault of the US and CA tax codes, and definitely not the fault of Peter. The relationship started slow with text messages that supplied me with data and education about our local market. When we were finally in a position to sit down with realtors/ brokers months later, the competition was stiff as we went through the interview process with very competent, intelligent, and business-savvy professionals. Marcus impressed us with his market knowledge, market analysis, marketing skills and tools, and won us over when he extended a 0% home-improvement loan AND project management to get the house to market. After intense scrutiny, we decided to go with Marcus. With his eye and his crew, they saw the diamond in the rough in our home. They totally redid our house. They turned the vision into a reality. It wasn't easy though, it required us to move out of the house so that they had room to work. We let them tear things out, replace outdated fixtures, take out doors, put in doors, repaint EVERYTHING, make the vintage wooden floors look like a million dollars, reroof, refurnace, put in plumbing, fix electrical needs, tear out shelving and cabinets, put in shelving, landscaping. The gamut. Marcus hired an experienced contractor where if you could imagine it - he could do it. I had NO interest or talent in picking out paint colors (inside and outside), color schemes, etc.....not a worry, taken care of. We invested over $80,000 plus staging. It was expensive but wasn't out of pocket...and in the end made the house look like the price of what it commanded. Next, putting the house on the market. Too much to detail but let's say that their marketing department is top-notch, includes international outreach, strategic, and utilizes cutting-edge technology. Again, not out of pocket and surprisingly included within the commission. Marcus and his crew sold the house within 2 1/2 weeks with 10 offers on the table and we got hundredS of thousands of dollars more than we were expecting. I emphasize that the hundred is PLURAL. It was all worth it. BOTTOM LINE: WE MADE SO MUCH MONEY on probably what will be the biggest financial transaction of our life. Marcus is a wonderful person and his management skills were key. He is a rare and elite real estate professional. If you're lucky enough to work with Marcus and his crew as a seller, consider it a serious blessing in your life.
