I had an extremely disappointing interaction with this realtor today…read more There has been ongoing construction at the neighboring property for several months, including repeated work beginning well before the Belmont permitted hours and Sunday work. This morning, after construction again began at 7 a.m. on a Saturday, we contacted code enforcement, who came out and instructed the workers to stop until the permitted start time. Later that day, we attended the property's open house. The realtor Chris Eckert approached us and asked us to leave, explaining that the owners did not want us there. We immediately complied and left without arguing. Unfortunately, the realtor then came back outside (where we stood chatting with other neighbors) stood very close to us, and repeatedly told us that we were "rude" for contacting code enforcement and for coming to an open house advertised as open to the public. He continued to lecture us even though we had already complied with his request to leave. He seemed agitated. I would expect a real estate professional to handle a tense situation calmly and professionally, particularly when representing sellers and trying to maintain good relationships with the surrounding neighbors. He could have simply asked us to leave and left it at that. Instead, he chose to confront and berate us afterward. Instead of diffusing, he escalated. The way this situation was handled was unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional.
