It had a playground, restrooms, big green lawn areas, parking lot, and walking paths to the wetland and beach access. I was quite impressed with the green lawns. A lot of room to run amok. And the Morro Rock impressively stands in the background. Gorgeous! Can never get tired of that view. Another thing to note is that the park has no trees. This was done on purpose. The omission of trees was done per guidance from the Coastal Comminssion to protect the wetlands. Being from the Central Valley, the weather is much hotter and a park without trees is unimaginable. But the lack of trees at Cloisters Park didn't make my visit less enjoyable.

Our daughter loved the swings and seeing all the wildlife (ducks, squirrels, seagulls). The playground looked clean and well maintained and safe for little ones to play around on. Plenty of parking and good midway between Cayucos and Morro- but closer to Morro. Short drive in either direction.

We took the exercise loop and went up black hill trail, and then took grove trail on the way back and linked back to exercise trail -back to parking lot. Bring hat and water- the trail is partially shady but gets really hot. Some breeze, great views up top! Caution: there's a lot of poison ivy lining the path- don't advise small children or pets on the trail.

The park had many homeless hanging around it. We proceeded to the playground area that was a hit for our daughter. While playing, the homeless started converging and one even came into the playground area that was separate from the rest of the park. She stared at us for a while and made a gesture of a gun, pointed it at us and walked back into the grassy area. We left shortly after as my wife was made very uncomfortable. Great little park. Not the greatest experience.

This event was held in a small neighborhood park (Morro Bay Park). Morro Bay Park was one of the first dedicated parks in the city of Morro Bay. Here you will find large open spaces, basketball court, play area with swing, slide, climbing structure, drinking fountain, restrooms, WWII Memorial Monument, and Morro Bay Transit bus stop. Overall a wonderful neighborhood park. Ideal for family gatherings and perfect for the City of Morro Bay's Special Events "Art in the Park & Holiday Tree Lighting Festivities". Enjoy !

Beautiful, quite powerful tribute. It's located on Embarcadero Street right next to the end of the waterfront shops and along the boardwalk walkway to the Morro Rock. Great view of the harbor and docked boats. There are two picnic tables and a bench. The bench is shaped like a surfboard and is dedicated to the memory of Donald B. Grant, a fisherman lost at sea in 1953. The memorial is a statute of a boat anchor with the statue's pedestal having the first initial and last name of the lost fisherman etched into it. The names are easily visible since they are engraved with a contrasting color onto the black background.

This is such a great little spot right on your walking path on the Embarcadero. The park has a…read morecouple of tables and benches to sit and enjoy the bay. It is also located close to several different eating places, so if you want to grab a bite to eat or a sweet treat and sit, this is the perfect stop. The giant anchor in the middle of the park has the names of fisherman who have been lost at sea over the years and reminds people that Morro Bay is and always will be a fishing community with a rich history of fishing.

The grassy hills are great for running around and being adjacent to the ranch property makes it fun to see cows. However, like every other park in Morro Bay it is falling apart and a slide is now closed. The spiral slide always scared me since the stairs don't seem safe since a kid could easily fall off. But still a fun park, I just with the parks department would do a fundraiser or something so our parks could be properly maintained and repaired.

Despite a busy morning and a wait to get on the court, everyone we met was incredibly friendly. We began in the beginners' court, but it turned out my friends were former tennis players who quickly adapted to the pickleball rules and techniques. So, we moved up to the intermediate middle court and had a fantastic time. The crowd, although a bit older, was warm and welcoming. We shared plenty of laughs, and my friends loved their first pickleball experience, planning to return the next time I visit Morro Bay. Although there were only three courts at the park, they were well-maintained. $1 per player. I can't wait to play pickleball with my buddies and these wonderful people in the community again.

It had areas of easy parking along the way. The path with informative signs about Morro Bay is nice. There are some benches & restroom facilities. A basketball court & swing set are in the area, but there's not much else for activity here.

Little ole Coleman Park, next to Morro Rock, is a teeny tiny park in the town of Morro Bay. The…read moreviews are gorgeous! Morro Rock in the distant that that is less than a 15 minute walk away on the trail, and the harbor is immediately next to the park. I'm sure in its hey day it was a fun place for visiting families to stop and enjoy the pretty views. Now the park is showing its age. It's a bit outdated and could use some peeking up. The restrooms are shuttered. The basketball court pavement is a bit neglected. The play area consist a a couple of old fashion steel swings, the swing set is on top of rough sand. There is a commemorative plaque recognizing the landing of the first recorded Filipino to set foot on American soil, which is super awesome. There is no immediate parking next to the park, that portion of the drive is closed off as well. The closest spots are less than a 5 minute walk from the paved trail. The walking trail runs right alongside the park. This park has potential to be revived. I'm hoping the current state is just temporary. The park is named after a local citizen, Arthur Coleman, who lead the effort in the 1950s to dredge the harbor and create Embarcadero Street to reach the Morro Rock.
