(By sharing drawings and photographs with me, he made sure that his design had my approval before construction began.) Work on the fence began when anticipated and was pretty much completed within 48 hours by 2 hardworking men who were consistently courteous. Moreover, without being asked to do so (or charging me to do so), they carted away a large pile of branches that had accumulated when shrubbery had to be pruned to avoid interfering with the new fence. (They also did the pruning--but only after asking for permission and showing me the branches that they recommended removing.) When 3 weeks later deer figured out how to get into my garden because of a small gap between my fence and a neighbor's fence, Joshua returned and saw that the gap was quickly patched. (My garden has now been deer-free for more than a month--a great blessing because deer are prolific in my neighborhood and had come to see my garden as an all-you-can-eat buffet.) He was on time and did a good job explaining to me how we could go about the installation. He needed to get the measurements to his boss, Rand, who would develop the estimate. After I got back from vacation following the initial appraisal, I called both the employee who'd come out and his boss, Rand, at the office. After calling both of these men multiple times over a week to 10 day, I drove to the office and on the off chance I met Rand in the yard for the first time. The employee was not around. I complained that I'd called both men multiple times and Rand took the attitude that he'd not had a chance to go in the office. I pointed out that I'd left multiple messages, that I'd not heard back from either man, and that I'd been promised an estimate. Rand told me the employee wanted to take full responsibility the job at my property, that the employee had the estimate, and I needed to talk to the employee to obtain that estimate. I was at pains to inform the boss that I'd not heard back from either man and that as the boss I assumed he'd want to direct his employee to contact me. This was over two weeks ago and I've heard nothing back for either Rand, his employee, or anyone else who might work at this company. This is a very small town. I'd expect that any business would be cautious to avoid bad publicity. Obviously Rand and Northwest Chainlink Fence company do not care if they get negative reviews. That may be but I intend to give them a zero stars review or whatever the lowest is that is possible.
