I have been going here since the practice as run by Dr. Stark. When Dr. Luong took over, I was a little apprehensive, just because she seemed so young and (I wondered) perhaps inexperienced. I needn't have worried. She is extremely skilled, very gentle in technique, and wonderfully up-to-date with equipment and methods. I go quarterly for cleaning and check-ups, and the hygienists are equally praiseworthy. I have needed a couple of crowns in the lest few years. Dr. Luong has the coolest machines in the world. After she makes computerized measurements of the tooth bed (using ultrasound and Lidar!), the data is fed to a computer-controlled milling machine about the size of a laser printer. A block of cubic zirconia (yep, just like "as advertised on TV) is put in the machine and tiny little bits whiz and whir, milling a perfect crown. It then goes into a tiny kiln about the size of a coffee maker and gets heated to some unbelievable temperature to set the zirconia. After cooling and polishing, into your mouth goes the crown, and Dr. Luong cements it in place. Perfect fit, every time. Best of all, the total process takes less that three hours, instead of two weeks. Unbelievably better than before! So... friendly, understanding service, ultra-modern methods, great results, all at the same prices as ordinary dental care. Five stars -- and I wish I had more to give. read more

For about 3 years now I have been so self conscious about the gap between my two front teeth. I would never smile or laugh in pictures because I hated the way it looked and how it made my overall appearance look. I finally decided to change that and booked an appointment with Dr. Jeanie Luong's dental office and went in for my consultation. Dr Luong and the staff there are AMAZING! She went through all the options I had to close my gap and and asked how I felt about certain methods and also gave her professional advice, not only did I get my gap closed but my teeth were also whitened beautifully and had gum surgery to lengthen my teeth so as to ensure my teeth did not look too fat and short when the gap was closed, and the lengthening of my teeth also made such a wonderful difference to my smile.It was defiantly a slow and steady process and at the end of it all I'm more than satisfied with the results, not only do people complement me on how good my teeth look without them knowing I had anything done to them but now I smile in every picture, every video, and every opportunity I get. I am so happy I decided to go to Dr. Luong and her dental assistants, I can't see my "journey" turning out any better and I sincerely thank them for being so friendly and caring during my visits there. read more

Not having been to the dentist in a long time, I thought it was time for a check-up and cleaning. I found this place out of sheer luck and I'm so glad I did! I emailed them to see if I could book an appointment and YES I CAN!!! Absolutely amazing. Even though it shouldn't be since it's 2015 but so many doctors still don't give the option to use email to book an appointment or send an general inquiry. Conveniently located on the second floor in a mixed-use building a few minutes from the Bay or Wellesley subway stations. All the staff are very friendly and Dr. Jeanie Luong is awesome. Being my first visit, she explained literally everything to me, the x-rays, the tools, the various dental terms, the images of my teeth, and so on. She tries to be as gentle as she can and told me to just raise my hand if I needed a break from the pain but the cleaning didn't hurt at all, surprisingly. Also, I still have all four of my wisdom teeth in and she emphasized that either the reactive or proactive approach is perfectly fine. She doesn't force sell you her services and that shows me that she's truly genuine and passionate about dentistry. Very friendly and talkative as well! Dr. Luong and her team are really great at what they do. I've moved around a lot and have seen many dentists, and I would say Baywell has been one of my best experiences with a dental office. They are professional and efficient, but super personable and down to earth. I've now had two cleanings and one filling and I'm impressed at their attention to detail. Seems like they take a lot of notes and remember my paticular weak spots (not to mention previous conversations about sushi and my job!) keeping an eye on things and talk me through the whole appointment. They explain what they're doing before they do it, and even were up front about the cost and what would be covered in our insurance. We have coverage through University of Toronto as graduate students and it's been so easy for us at Baywell. Dr. Luong, Tanya my hygienist, and Debbie are an amazing team. When my long-time dentist Dr. Bow retired (if you're reading this Dr. Bow, I miss you!) I was very apprehensive about my future dental care. At her office one day I met the clinic's new owner and my first impression of Dr. Luong was very good, which made me think that perhaps she could be my future dentist. I am not disappointed. As Dr. Bow also did my teeth cleaning (& did an excellent job!) I had never had a dental hygienist before. My new hygienist at the Baywell Dental Centre is Tanya - she is excellent & when I am scheduled for a teeth cleaning I make sure that she is the one who will be there. Not only does Tanya do excellent teeth cleaning, she seems to know so very much about everything else related to dentistry. I have never written a review about a business before but I felt the Baywell Dental team was so amazing and friendly that the least I could do was brag about them! When I first walked in the ladies were all so so welcoming. I felt like they were family I had not see in years. The waiting room was cozy and did not feel like a medical waiting room. If felt like a living room. I was seen within minutes. The dental technician was very friendly and took the time to really explain everything to me. She did a great job on cleaning my teeth. She has expertise and modern in-house equipment for things such as crowns, and she has a good network of specialists to refer to as needed. Her communication style is gentle and respectful: She gives good information and lets the patient make the decision. And she is fun to talk to - a bonus! After a bad experience at a previous dentist, I researched online and found Dr. Jeanie Luong at Baywell Dental Care. My daughter is terrified of the dentist and I assumed right off the bat that this would not go well. Everyone at Baywell Dental was warm and kind and we were both put to ease right away. Dr. Luong was gentle and patient. She took the time to explain everything she would be doing in terms that my 6 year old daughter would understand. I was very impressed that she spent the time to make my daughter feel comfortable before attempting any treatment. Today I had a replacement crown procedure performed by Dr. Jeanie Luong, and her assistant Ericka. She uses a new process The CEREC Procedure. The CEREC 3D software takes the digital pictures and converts them into a 3-dimensional virtual model on the computer screen. Dr Luong then uses her dental expertise to design the restoration using the 3D computer program. Within a few minutes, she clicks a button, and the restoration design data is sent to a separate milling machine in the office. A ceramic block that matches my tooth shade is placed in the milling machine. About 10 - 20 minutes later, my crown was ready, and fit PERFECTLY!! I do not have to go back as it is done in ONE PROCEDURE. Thank you so much. read more

Dr Luong and her staff are incredibly friendly, patient, accommodating, and even have a good sense of humour! I moved around a lot in the last 5 years and so it had been a while since I was going for regular visits and I'm glad I came across this practise! Compared to this team, my previous dentists seem like the typical "trip to the dentist nightmare". I'm prone to cavities and I had to get some done and they really took their time in making sure I was comfortable, explaining everything, and checking in along the way to see if I needed anything. I started working with Dr. Luong this past summer. I went to several appointments as we started to look at my needs going forward. I found Dr. Luong to be thoughtful and one who listened carefully to what I had to say. She got what I wanted and needed immediately. Like most people one dislikes going to the dentist. But not any more. Today I had an ancient crown removed and a new one put on. I had worried all weekend that I couldn't cope with it but now I am so pleased that I carried through. Dr. Salvo is the best dentist I've ever had. I started seeing him almost 15 years ago, and have continued to go see him even though I moved downtown 8 years ago. He's everything you would look for in a dentist: experienced, gentle, talented, kind, and fairly priced. He will never try to influence you to get something done that you don't truly need & will always present you with all your options. My dad (whose had more issues with his teeth) and brother also commute to go see only him although they also don't live nearby. He is definitely worth the drive. read more

Really happy with the service I received. Past dentists have never been particularly transparent with costs and exactly the services being done, but all was communicated early on so I could verify with insurance.
