Terrible experience…read more Today, Saturday, July 18, 2026, at around 1:00 PM, I visited the Miami Beach location because I injured my foot and was in significant pain. Since I don't have insurance, I was informed that the medical consultation would cost $140 and the X-rays $80. After the nurse took my X-rays, Dr. Luis Cabrera never brought me into an exam room, never asked about my symptoms, never looked at my foot, and never performed a physical examination. He simply looked at the X-rays, said he couldn't see anything, recommended that I see a foot specialist, and told me the radiologist wasn't available to interpret the X-rays. When I asked who was going to perform my medical examination, he replied that he didn't need to examine me because he already knew I had injured a toe. I explained that he had never even looked at my foot, but he insisted he didn't need to. When I asked how he could give a medical opinion without examining the patient, he dismissively told me to "find someone to explain it to you." I then asked, "If you're not going to examine me, why am I being charged $140 for a medical consultation?" At that point, Dr. Cabrera became angry, told me not to pay anything, and ordered me to leave the clinic. The entire incident happened in front of the nurse and the receptionist, making the experience humiliating and deeply unprofessional. I left the clinic without receiving a medical examination or treatment and without paying, because Dr. Cabrera told me to leave. I have never been treated with such disrespect by a physician. I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience.

I called with an urgent question, waited 3 hours for a call back, called again and expressed the urgency. After this woman was finished speaking over me...she said I might just have to come in again. Meaning, I would need to spend another $300 instead of assisting the patient and getting the doctor on the phone for a 2-3 minute phone call (all doctors are busy....not just yours). The service in Miami as a whole is atrocious. But....when it comes to medical issues, I really expected more competent individuals to be in charge of the phone lines.

Extremely disappointing experience. My friend Kenzie came in because she has been having severe…read morechest pain for the past couple of days, and instead of showing any concern, the staff at the front desk were immediately dismissive and had an attitude from the moment we walked up. What made absolutely no sense was being told that because the chest pain had already been happening for a few days, it "wasn't urgent," but that if we had come in on the first day it would have been considered more urgent. Chest pain does not suddenly become unimportant just because someone has been dealing with it for more than a day. We weren't expecting anyone to diagnose her at the front desk--we were simply expecting basic compassion, professionalism, and for her symptoms to be taken seriously. When someone is already scared and in significant pain, the last thing they need is to feel like they're inconveniencing the staff by asking for medical help. The attitude and dismissiveness were completely unnecessary and made an already stressful situation worse.

When you're in your late 40's you actually begin to care about stuff like sports injuries. Where in…read moreyour 20's you might have been able to brush it off and keep walking, after a certain age you actually go and check a pain that gets worse along the day (side note: 3 days later I'm starting to feel better.) After a mishap at another walk in clinic, I took that clinic's advice and came to "the pineapple". After a screening at the entry for "that which shall not be named" I took the elevator to the urgent care clinic on the fourth floor. I filled out the paperwork while sitting in the spaced & plexiglass-separated settes and waited about 45 minutes to be taken to the back. A nurse came first to get my symptoms, and an x-ray tech shortly after to do a rule out xray. (Yes I had to wear the famous gown). They have modern digital xrays in the floor, and the technician was really courteous and did them without needing a retake. A short wait after that, the doctor came in, gave me decent news and I was on my way. It almost seems the biggest wait was in the waiting room instead of being attended. Based on this experience, and at other Baptist Urgent Care centers, these are where I would go if I ever need an MD again.
