Midwife Daymaris is so good at explaining things is super approachable and patient so I never left with unanswered questions, her and OB Dr Magloire have the perfect balance b/w holistic and medical. Dr Magloire is equally approachable, down to earth, and her demeanor is one that bring peace and calm into a room, even the delivery room! They both supported me 100% in my desire to have no meds, no epidural, which I did accomplish w.much less pain than w.epi n pitocin (they both delivered no epi btw). Dr Magloire was an excellent coach at the time of delivery, she does not perform routine episiotomies, she did an excellent job stitching up the small tear I did have (btw Dr forewarned me that the skin will often tear in the same place as before so no surprises there, and it was just skin as she surmised), 4mths postpartum and I recovered wonderfully. This is in comparison to my first OB who did no coaching at all, brought angst whenever she would pop in at random intervals, and did an episiotomy followed by a deep tear, she then rushed through the stitches, literally rushed, and it took me 2.5yrs to recover. Anyways highly recommend !!! (Written by wife obviously)

DO NOT COME HERE unless you enjoy having your time wasted and feeling completely uncomfortable as a…read morepatient. My most recent appointment was for an IUD ultrasound follow-up that I booked MONTHS ago for 9:30 AM. The office called the day before and left a voicemail CONFIRMING the appointment. I arrive on time, get checked in, have my vitals taken, and get placed in the exam room only to then be told the doctor "won't be here until 2 PM." When I asked why nobody told me BEFORE I drove there and got roomed, they claimed they "tried to call." No. The voicemail literally only confirmed the appointment. Then they told me this doctor "doesn't work mornings." So why was I scheduled for a morning appointment requiring THAT doctor in the first place? And this isn't even my first horrible experience here. I originally got my IUD inserted at this office and it was unbelievably unprofessional. My appointment was at 5 PM and I did not leave until almost 7:30-8 PM. After already having me undressed and waiting, they suddenly realized they "needed" Pap smear results that the MALE doctor had supposedly already arranged to have faxed over from my primary doctor. Apparently nobody communicates with each other in this office. I ended up PAYING for AT&T hotspot/WiFi just to log into my own patient portal, find the results myself, and email them to the doctor while sitting there exposed and waiting. Then, during the actual insertion, random nurses and assistants kept walking into the room. At one point there were FOUR staff members in there, some "learning," others helping, and nobody asked me if I was comfortable with an audience during an intimate procedure. To make it worse, in the middle of my IUD insertion, the doctor started scolding a nurse saying the bed I WAS CURRENTLY LAYING ON hadn't been cleaned properly from the previous patient. Imagine hearing that while someone is literally inserting an IUD into you. I do want to say the nurses themselves were kind and polite to me personally. My issue is mainly with Dr. Magloire and the overall management of this office. The level of disorganization, poor communication, lack of professionalism, and disregard for patient comfort and privacy during intimate procedures was honestly shocking. Two visits. Two awful experiences. Never again. 0/10.

At every appointment, he took the time to answer all my questions (even the craziest one :) He is more than an healthcare provider, he seems genuinely passionate about women's health. He was always so kind and friendly to me and my husband. He also delivered my baby at the hospital (Memorial Regional, top notch hospital hands down) and made me feel extremely comfortable from A to Z. Dr. Alvarez was also very helpful during the postpartum steps (that were sometimes challenging physically and emotionally, at least for me) The nurses and front desk ladies are also very nice and always helpful. Dr. Levin (whom I saw a couple of times) is also very friendly and with great bedside manners. Thank you!

The doctor does not hand the lady that checks patients out anything when they're leaving, so it's up to the patient to remember the date of the next scheduled appointment, it's up to the patient to know about prescriptions, it's basically up to the patient to know everything because she will not get up and go ask the doctor anything. Then when I left a message saying maybe there should be some more communication with the back assistants and the checkout in the front, she called me back and was very rude. She asked me why I thought that. I explained to her with over 25 years in medical offices I know that the responsibility does not land on the patient nor on the doctor it always lands on the employees, like it or not. My question was about if they sent my prescription and where they sent it to, but apparently that question was too much for her to handle, and I had this lady being rude to me on the phone, giving me a huge attitude. And I pray that they record the phone calls and I want the doctor to listen to how she spoke to me. Also, the doctor giving me samples and I asked her about that too. And she replied well I was not in the room with him so how am I supposed to know? And I told her that simple you just get up and ask him, and apparently that was too much for her to handle as well. The way she was so comfortable having such a big attitude for two really simple questions is quite absurd.

He said he couldn't help…read morebecause he needed to go home early -- it was around 2:00 PM and his nurses had already left -- and asked us to wait until Monday. He then left the clinic instead of staying to coordinate care. He provided no information about the nearest emergency departments, no instructions for follow-up care, and no emergency contact information. He wrote a prescription for methotrexate 100 mg but failed to arrange for it to be dispensed or to explain the next steps; we had to obtain and deliver the medication ourselves. As a result of these omissions, the patient required emergency admission to the hospital on Saturday. At the emergency department, staff were surprised that the medication had been handed to us and asked why the doctor had given it directly to the family. Dr. Kandinov also failed to arrange an ultrasound when it was clinically indicated; when we requested diagnostic imaging, he refused and did not record either the recommendation or the refusal in the medical record. All of this was frightening, expensive, and entirely avoidable. In our opinion, these actions demonstrate alarming unprofessionalism and a lack of concern for patient safety. The surgeon who performed the procedure said this outcome might have been avoided because the patient had visited Dr. Kandinov two weeks earlier. However, the doctor did not take the concerns seriously; the consultation appeared cursory. He appears to rush through appointments, spending only a few minutes in each office and not devoting adequate time to patients. It seems to me that money plays a bigger role for him than treating patients Think carefully before you go. Be vigilant.

I too notice the condescending office staff-one specific young woman had a negative face and attitude the entire process-check in or out. The other girl at the desk even made a remark about it. I actually loved the dr. I felt comfortable enough to be vulnerable and explain my health issues to her. She agreed to order some tests for me as I am waiting to see an endo and needed some extra tests to make sure I'm ok At check out I told the negative office staff woman that some things were missing on the blood order-she condescendingly said "the dr decides what tests to run" as if I'm not a 44 year old woman or am paying for the tests. But I said no problem-the dr was nice I only need to come here once a year. No issues Been a week and a day since they took blood. Got my results on quest and they were not what was asked for and I'm not used to quest blood work taking so long. Usually it's 3 days. Been testing once a month for years now. I called confused and crying. I was upset that they didn't order the correct tests. I got the same unhappy negative young woman and she was caustic, defensive and not helpful. Asked to speak to the dr. The dr within moments made comments about "how angry" I am. I asked her not to assess my mood while I'm hormonal and crying. I wasn't angry. So I don't need anyone trying to tell me what my feelings are when I'm aware of them. I hadn't cursed, been rude, nor disrespectful. Just a hot hormonal mess-and this is the gynecologists office-so one would think that they would be more sympathetic. Dr told me she can't help me and I can look for a new dr. Cause I was upset. About something she cleared up rather quickly. No one was interested in helping me with my emotions-that have nothing do with anyone in the office-but hormones! They wanted to be reactive and defensive and make things about themselves. This is not the care I'm seeking I am involved in my care I am paying for my health insurance and all bills I don't need a young woman half my age gaslighting me and telling me the "dr orders what she wants not what you want" as if I'm not even a factor in my own health care. By the end of the call I stated that I hadn't been angry, I was upset and obviously emotional as I was sobbing on this call-which is embarrassing as it is-that I hadn't been rude or disrespectful and yet you have decided you can't help me and I shouldn't come back. So then I peppered in a few fucks. Cause that was really unnecessary. Don't go here. The reviews are correct.

As a young patient, I politely asked if I could see Dr. Katrevia because I felt more comfortable with a female doctor. Instead of responding with understanding, he appeared irritated and began emphasizing that he owned the practice and that Dr. Katrevia worked for him. He repeated several times that "this is my practice" and that it shouldn't matter who saw me. As a nervous teenage patient, I was simply trying to advocate for my comfort, but the interaction quickly became uncomfortable because of his tone and reaction. Throughout the interaction his tone was cold and dismissive, and the lack of basic bedside manner made the experience even more uncomfortable. I remained respectful and reiterated that I would prefer to see Dr. Katrevia or reschedule. He eventually left the room to get her. A few minutes later I stepped out to use the restroom and overheard him at the front desk with staff discussing the situation and laughing about me. It was very clear they were talking about my request to see a female doctor. As a teenage patient already feeling vulnerable, overhearing staff and a physician speaking negatively about me felt extremely unprofessional. Looking back now with much more positive experiences with other OB-GYNs, that visit stands out as one where professionalism and respect were severely lacking. I believe patients, especially teenagers- deserve to feel respected and safe when advocating for their comfort during medical visits.
