The owner, Chuck, was gracious and welcoming, and the manager, Josh, along with his friends, were dressed in suits enjoying the Derby. The whole place had warmth, class, and character. The conversations with the local clientele were outstanding. They made us feel like we had been friends for years. We met a fascinating group of people, including a professional poker player, a commercial fertilizer company executive, a retired Wall Street broker, and a liquor broker. It was the kind of place where a simple stop turns into a memorable experience. Their cigar selection was impressive, especially the Padron, Plasencia, and Oliva offerings across multiple lines. Honestly, it was difficult to choose. Josh walked us through the options with the knowledge and storytelling of a master sommelier in a fine dining restaurant. He knew the cigars, the manufacturers, and the history behind them in a way that made the experience even richer. I would have no problem diverting any future road trip to visit this Davenport cigar lounge again, even if it meant driving hours out of the way.
