Their special was rhubarb, apple and pear and it was fantastic. Tart acerbic rhubarb, almost spicy with the natural sugary sweetness of the apple and pear. £2.50 for a fairly large plastic cup was pretty reasonable. The juice is fresh, the fruity combinations are top notch and very well paired and the staff are cheery. It's certainly a good way to start the day.

It had the perfect balance of textures, flavors, and quantities of a variety of items. And, it was nice that it had plenty of peanut butter (which seemed like it was of an excellent quality) to give us the protein we needed to get us through the day. Also, we tried some of their protein balls; I don't recall which two flavors we ordered, but they were both delicious concoctions, again with great textures / mouth feel. 5 stars all the way as far as I am concerned.

But any time I called in here for a tea or a juice on my way to work I was greeted with excellent service and friendly staff who were up at the same time of the day as me but had much sunnier complexions. I know they are paid to provide a service but it is never easy at that time of the morning so I salute them. The food and stuff is ok, nothing special but you can get some porridge which I think is a nice personal touch. The prices are pretty reasonable and pretty much what you will pay elsewhere, if not a little cheaper.

As a result I have sampled some of the smoothies here which are pretty yummy. I'd recommend the Mango one. I've never tried the sandwiches but they look pretty standard. The bowls of soup are always tempting on cold winter days. A grand little juice bar with reasonable prices and nice staff.

The service in Zumo is excellent, the staff are extremely attentive and are very talented smoothie makers too boot. I would recommend that you try a Zumo Berry smoothie, I am not exactly sure what is in it but when it tastes as good as it does I do not really mind. Apparently it is god if you are feeling unwell but I think this is just code for it being the best way to beat a hangover.

I tried a Sun Splash smoothie with had mango, pineapple and orange, and was really tasty! Everything is reasonably priced for what you are getting, and it is reassuring to see everything get made fresh in front of you rather than the mystery of something that is generically manufactured with a whole load of added sugars and other additives. The staff are always pleasant despite usually being rushed off their feet, so if you want to watch your figure or if you are feeling tender after a large night out, I recommend this place!

Although Blitz seemed to have promise, given the concept of being able to create over 230 milkshake flavours- I have a sad feeling that it may suffer the same fate. I visited the shop recently and was blown away by the wealth of flavours on offer- with everything from biscuits such as oreos to sweets such as parma violets. On closer inspection however, I noticed that a lot of the flavours are quite bizarre and was left wondering who would pay £2.80 for a tic-tac flavoured milkshake. Despite this, I chose to order a Kinder Bueno/Daim bar milkshake, in the hope that it would satisfy my chocolate cravings for the next few weeks. Feeling excited at the promise of an ice-cream milkshake, I was bitterly disappointed to find that it was essentially milk (and not very cold milk at that) with some flakes of chocolate that tasted vaguely of daim bar. Although I like to think of myself as an adventurous foodie, I am sad to report that most of my milkshake ended up in the bin. To their credit, Blitz Milkshakes does make an effort, as they often hold themed days- serving themed milkshakes. The decor within the shop is also quite nice, with large leather seats and a high level of cleanliness. Whilst the thrill of creating your own concoctions may appeal to some, it isn't my cup of shake.

In a more modest move I opted for a mars bar milk shake which was very nice, but could have done with more mars bar, as the flavour was greater near the bottom where more of the bar sunk to! However there are all the sweets you could imagine to add to your milkshake, as well as some options that frankly disgust me like apple, bakewell tarts and weetabix!For me a weetabix milkshake is what I get when I mush my weetabix up at the end of my cereal!

I got a plastic cup of fresh orange juice, I think it was around the two squid mark. It was ok, a little warm and overly tart and citric. It sorted me out but I wouldn't rush back. My face was screwed as if sucking on a lemon soaking in battery acid, I could have been unlucky and got an uber-sour orange but still. They also do a range of over squeezed juices but I was a little worse for wear so can't quite recall.
