Since then, I've called at least five times to check on the status of my return. I spoke with his receptionist multiple times and with an account/tax manager twice. I also left messages specifically requesting a call back from Brent himself. It is now December, and I still have not heard a single update. The complete lack of follow-through and communication has been incredibly disappointing, and I am now seeking a different CPA. I do not recommend this firm.

That is considered the gold standard in accounting. Even with Forbush's significantly above market fee, I was comfortable. However, my work was delegated to an overworked newby, whom I suspect was not even a CPA. When I received an unexpected and unexplained refund check from the IRS, I brought it to his attention. He didn't know what to do, so he did nothing. The result of this inaction was an eventual penalty by the IRS. I finally obtained Brent Forbush's personal intercision with the IRS, but it was to no avail, even though the mistake was really made by the IRS. I did not get what I paid for and I have now taken my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this firm for individual tax preparation.

While filling out the forms i couldn't help but hear Rhonda (Rhonda's office was about 8 ft from where i sat with her door open) verbally abuse her employee about calling in late, I'm talking F bomb, God*****it, shit, kick your ass, the works. I could not believe my ears. I filled out what i could from memory. She took it in to Rhonda and it was returned to me saying i needed to fill it out completely. Understood. I explained my printer being down and asked very politely if they could print out my resume as a favor, time being of great concern, so i was told, for the position. I was told no, Rhonda was busy and didn't have the time to do so. I asked again, explaining i was on a time crunch and had moved a very important medical appointment to drive across town to see them. I was again told she dint have the time due to being very busy and that i should have taken a picture with my phone. Perhaps i should have thought of that, but i didn't. Keep in mind Rhonda is about 5 feet from us in her office with the door open. I left. I called and talked to Rhonda about my displeasure. Rhonda told me she wasn't informed i had even come into the office. WOW!!! What!!! I exclaimed that my file was brought to her and her red pen circles were present on my form as to what to finish filling out. She denied cursing at anyone and said she couldn't hear our conversation outside her office. WOW!!! Never again.
