Further is the trail towards the flowers garden that lead us to the sunken garden a little to the left. The sunken garden is a beautiful sight from above and below complete with water fountains and pond. The beauty doesn't stop there. Further walk to the right outside of the sunken garden is the rose and dahlia garden. The dahlia is something else! I've never seen so many in quantity and so many variety in one place! Just gorgeous and they're huge! I tried to take photos with my hands for comparison. A little walk further is the Japanese garden and this is what I call serenity, peace, tranquility. It was so quiet except for the trickle of water and the pond. I can imagine meditating in the Japanese garden. At the end we walked through the English garden and stop at the eatery for their huge bowl of chili and a hot dog and refreshment. They do offer complimentary water fyi so bring your water decanter if you have it. I bought a Coke Zero instead Near the exit I stopped by their window garden which is like a greenhouse packed full of flowers. My only disappointment was that I was expecting to see a greenhouse of exotic, tropical flowers and plants. They have an abundance of flowers and plants but they were all common variety. Roses, dahlia, vinca, marigold etc... I was hoping to see tropical orchids, hibiscus, tropical bird of paradise, torch ginger, monstera deliciosa, passion fruit flowers etc... I was also hoping they have a fruit orchard but the only fruit tree I saw was apple tree.

Beautiful farm, great range of trails, and waterfront campsites. We have enjoyed attending relaxed waterfront weddings over the years with receptions at Beaver Point Community Hall just down the road from the park. For a very reasonable price, families can book farm tours and enjoy getting up close and personal with the baby lambs and goats. The farm stand has great treats and we enjoy our organic Christmas turkey every year.

For example, when we first booked the venue, Marjorie told us that they were setting up composting toilets to be used for the event. TWO WEEKS before the wedding, I checked in to confirm that the bathrooms were ready and she told me that she couldn't get the bathrooms installed (despite having over 7 months to do so) and that she was "going to" rent porta potties for the event. Unsurprisingly, in the middle of busy wedding and construction season, she was not able to find anything to rent on such short notice and ended up installing two camper vans on our site as bathrooms. The camper vans were a giant eyesore during the entire event and were also inaccessible to our elderly guests due to the steps. She also told us during our first call that we could host the event until midnight - at 1030 pm the night of the wedding, she came to the site and demanded that the music be turned off complaining that "it had been playing all day" as though it wasn't completely reasonable to be playing music at a wedding. She also brought along an extremely aggressive young man to berate us in front of our guests. Lastly, she nickel and dimed us at any opportunity, suddenly requesting payment for items she had offered us in emails and planning calls without any indication that they would come at an additional cost (e.g., a few folding tables from a junk shed that also housed a discarded toilet, some old windows she had lying around to use as signs, etc.) She attempted to charge us for taking photos on a different part of the farm despite having promised "farm photo opportunities" in her initial emails. This was, to say the least, extremely tacky but also made us feel like she was trying to squeeze money out of us at any possible opportunity. Many other things were promised and then never acted on, too many to write out all of them. Although we made the most of it and managed to have a great wedding day, it was a complete nightmare working with Marjorie. Save yourself the stress and have your wedding or event somewhere that conducts their business with integrity.
