Best snowboard shop I have been to hands down. Staff here knows the gear like the back of their hand. I was in the market for a board and bryce was able to hook me up with a capita doa 158 and union bindings which absolutely shred. I needed a replacement part for the bindings and Dave was able to hook me up super quickly. Any business I have moving forward for gear will be through this shop specifically. Super cool store with cool, friendly vibes. I first discovered this store when our son requested anything from here on his Christmas list. Easily done! They have lots of skater/snowboarder gear, tons of graphic tees and socks and even roller skates! We also discovered that Vans makes boots! I'm a huge Vans fan but did not know this! We ended up picking up a pair of the boots for the kid along with a dope coat! We had to come back to exchange my own pair of Vans boots I found under the Christmas tree . I have been coming to this shop for years, customer service reps are super attentive and nice every time we shop here. My son bought some independent trucks and they were defective. On the day they were supposed to be delivered, today Dec 29, get an order cancellation from them stating they don't have the product. Best Snowboard Shop. Huge Selection. Tons of Variety - lots of great colors & patterns & brand selections for outerwear. Lots of Boards & Boots. Staff is friendly, chill, and very helpful / knowledgeable. I like that they don't work on commission, and as far as snowboard / skate shops go (and can be), these guys are easy on the attitude (as in, they don't give you attitude if you don't walk in there sagging your pants & looking like ALL you do is snowboard/skate - this is important to me, since I don't look like a "snowboard chick" when I'm not on the mountain. Though, I have been riding since I was 11 years old, and once did fit the typical "snowboard/skate chick" profile [see my pink hair photo from when I was 13].) ;) Personal anecdote for the day: I just called them a few mins ago, as I'm shooting to buy some new boots since I'm always complaining about my old Northwaves and lacing them (they're decent boots, but I HATE lacing my boots - and always have). I'm looking at some 32 Boa self-lacing boots, and want to buy them on sale. The dude was super friendly, super helpful, went to check on my size AND said they're already on sale (I don't have to wait until August). They were out of my size 8.5, so he even offered to track them down at another store. Can't beat the friendliness, or their helpful customer service. Love it. (Now I just need to find a spot for this expense in my new budget, or better yet, convince my dad to buy them for me as an early Birthday present!) ;) read more

This is a great little store with an awesome staff in the skate shop. Trevor helped us with three boards. It was close to closing by the time we got everything figured out and he never made us feel rushed. I offered to come back another day for the custom board and he reassured us it was no big deal. Trevor was knowledgeable and gave honest no nonsense answers to questions. He knows his stuff and was super chill through the whole process! The guys in the front of the store were really nice and so excited to see the boards my kids picked out. The vibe in this place is awesome! The staff is ridiculously friendly and super helpful! If you need a board, check them out. They also give you a discount on a helmet when you buy a board (on top of an already great price). There's no excuse to not have the right gear. These guys have taken such good care of me for 23 years. Stocked up with large amounts of product and they never complain when I ask detailed questions. Dropped by this morning to grab some new bindings. Walked in and was greeted by Sloan. She Found the pair of Union's I was looking for and adjusted to make sure they fit my boots properly (that in btw size 10.5 boots - was debating btw M & L bindings) The M fit great. Regardless of what Chris conspiracies are I am a real person. Also, the people whom work at the store are real people. They have real jobs, have real hobbies and have real passions. They may not work at an independent shop, and the shop may lack some of the personal idiosyncrasies and flavors of an independent shop. However, they did a great job setting up my first board and bindings. They offered good advice and gave me a good discount on last years models. I can't complain. I have seen far worse from large chains. Often times local management determines the success and failure of each franchise. Not a bad place, lots of good snowboarding gear as well as skate stuff, very wide selection of snowboard gear which is mainly why i visit this place. Definitely one of my favorite places to go to if I am looking for snowboard stuff. The staff here will help you out and are friendly. The women's gear selection is a bit limited though. After writing this review, I might stop by the shop to see about picking up some of last seasons gear for cheap, I'm starting to get the itch for the season to start. This place is awesome. Has been one of my favorite stores since I was a kid and still is. I recently went in to buy a new snowboard and had already done my research and had it narrowed down to a few. The sales guys are very knowledgable about every single product they sell and have tried most of them. They really helped me feel awesome about the NS I eventually bought. Gave me a discount on some new bindings and told me to bring it back for a free wax after a few early season riding days. While I was there, a kid was there buying pretty much one of everything to try snowboarding for the first time that ran out of money. One of the guys that worked there happened to have an older board in his car he was going to get rid of and gave it to the kid which blew the kids mind. Mounted his bindings on it and everything. Good karma should always be heading these guys' way. read more

This place has tons of skate and snowboarding stuff. The BEST time of year to catch them is right before school starts. They typically start their sale before anyone else. At the promo event, their are a lot of reps and very helpful people. During other times of year, the enthusiasm level gets a little flat. The place has a lot of skate/snow clothes. This shop has THE BEST customer service and has really knowledgable, no pressure staff. My daughter with special needs and I went in over the weekend to get her a new skateboard, and not only did several staff help us immediately they took a lot of time to educate me and my kiddo on products/equipment. There wasn't any pressure to upgrade or spend a ton of money, and we were given a lot of information and presented with multiple options to choose from price-wise. There was even a former employee who happened to be in the shop, Ryan, who jumped in and helped the staff when it got a little busy and we were taking up a lot of time. We had a really an amazing experience and retail just isn't like this anymore. We will be back to support this awesome business - they have a great selection and the staff were really great. read more

I really like BC. They're not quite up to my impression of Colorado Ski and Golf as far as service and knowledge, but they're right up there. These cats know their stuff and unlike Chris J, I think all the employees I've ever run into here are passionate about riding and skating. I've bought skateboards here, had trucks changed, bought snowboards here and talked through the purchases with employees. Overall, this place is great since they carry my brand of snowboards, (which Colorado Ski and Golf doesn't) and the place I get most of my snowboard vids to get my stoke on. read more

Chris J is obviously ill-informed and not a Colorado native. BC is the original skate and snowboard shop of Denver and is nothing like Zumiez. BC was one of the only places you could buy skate and snow merchandise before skating and snowboarding were cool --I bought my first skate complete at BC (SW plaza) in '92. Also, Chris is clearly not a member of the "local community" since BC employs more "local" skate and snowboarders than any other independent shop and, since Denver is a small town and with a even smaller community of people who work in this industry, most people know each other. Anyone who claims BC lacks "local spirit" has no idea what they're talking about. In other words, Chris J is a poser (look at his cool tags) If you want widest selection in Snow, Skate and Surf, BC is you place. I've been a loyal customer since '92 and recommend it to anyone, core to novice, looking for good products with great customer service. read more

Chris's comments above are more or less... retarded. Wal-Mart thrives because they buy cheap products and sell them for a little over production cost. I don't see any of that at BC Surf & Sport. The selection is amazing and while some items may be out of stock at times, how many "small rider-owned" shops do you know carry the same stock and keep it around (even during off-seasons)? It's June, I have off-season snowboard training in Oregon, and they have Oakley lenses that I need. I love this shop and will continue to go here. Bravo for commercializing the skate-snowboard-surf industry so that customers have a brick-and-mortar option to buy (and try) the best gear, even during the off-season when prices drop. read more

I ended up at BC after wandering through Powder Daze, Ski Rex and SNIAGRAB and finding nothing. I found a pair of Burton snowboard pants from a season back marked down from $180 down to $49!!! You can't beat that!! I love skateboarding and snowboarding and BC is one of my favorite shops to go to! read more

This place is amazing! I am a father of 3 adult children, my wife, our two daughters, our son and myself are snowboarders and longboarders among many other outdoor adventures. Our oldest daughter, 21 just got home here to Colorado from college in Texas for Christmas break. We needed to get her a new set up for the season so we started at the Park Meadows Mall. Nothing to speak of there, we found our way across the street to BC, and I must say I am glad we did! The employees are very well informed and know their gear, one employee named Matt was over and above. I am a business consultant for a living, I teach companies everything from marketing to customer service. This young man is top notch! He greeted my entire family when we walked in, he was finishing up with another customer and took the time to let us know he would be right with us. He directed us upstairs to the snowboards and gear. He helped my daughter find exactly what she was looking for, we got a great deal on a set of Union bindings and an awesome pair badass boots. He set her entire board up and was very helpful, asking all the right questions to assure we was happy. It's employees like Matt that build a successful company, because of his professional manner and amazing customer service we are now customers of BC for life. Attention BC Upper Management; Matt is one great employee he has a lot of passion for the sport and the life style and makes every customer feel welcome and like we are part of the cool kid club.
