I really liked this class for my toddler. We did a try out and my kid was super engaged from the start with little instruction. Class is very easy to follow along for little ones. You can tell this is a true dance school that takes pride in teaching proper technique. The only reason I didn't choose this school os because it was a little further than I wanted to drive every week but if it were closer we would have stayed here. read more

My 2 daughters have been at Allana's for 5 years each now, and we have been extremely happy with the classes, professionalism of Allana and the other dancers and parents are our dance family! Not sure who melissa below is, but i disagree with her review whole heartedly... of course she has a right to her opinion, but after being thru 5 seasons of recitals and competitions I very much disagree with her judgement of Allana's appearance and how she treats her dancers! I've always been invited to help out backstage at a recital, but since my girls have gotten older, I choose not to. I think Allana is beautiful and dresses very professional and treats the kids like they're her own! As far as loosing clothes??? That can happen easily when changing a lot at a studio, but they do have a lost and found easily accessible. I would absolutely recommend Allana's Academy Of Dance! read more

Our gut told us no from the beginning, but we kept giving it a try. We should've stayed away and so should you. We tried it 3x's, but would never go back. The studio is dirty but even more so, the mother & father that run the studio for Allana are extremely disrespectful. The restrooms are disgusting, which is so unfortunate because I have a 3 year old that is recently potty trained & this was not ok for her to use; honestly it's not even ok for an adult. The studios are dirty, hair on the floor, dirt everyone- just dirty. But where it gets even worse is the staff. The owners parents run the studio and they are both very rude, the mother of the owner more than the father, but for being a small business they took feedback poorly. There was a very disrespectful situation that happened in which my daughter was pulled from a class in tears, not ok for anyone to ever do to anyone's child. But when addressed to the owners parents they attacked me in front of the whole class. I would call them bullies, and this world is already tough, I don't need a fun experience to be turned into a terrible situation because adults can't handle their own emotions. read more

First things first, WE LOVE ALLANA'S. My daughter has been taught by Allana, Cassandra, and two other teachers and we have NEVER had a negative experience- either with a class or with any other issue. My daughter has been dancing at Allana's for 2.5 years now- since she was 2 years old. She started out in the Twinkle Babies class with Allana herself, and took that class for two years. There are some people who were just born to work with children, and Allana is one of those people. She truly cares about every child that passes through her studio door, and my daughter ADORES her.Teaching 2-3 year olds is incredibly difficult, and yet Allana manages to a fun and nurturing environment in her classes. She has instilled a life long love of dance in my little girl, and for that I could not be more appreciative. AAD is like a second family to us. Her parents Glyn and Cli, who help her run the studio, are like an extra set of grandparents to my little girl. They are always friendly and helpful. I know there are HUNDREDS of other dance families who would stand behind me and say the same thing. Unfortunately when somebody has a negative experience they tend to flock to the internet in greater numbers than the people who have had positive experiences- even when the numbers of those who have had positive experiences FAR outweigh the number of those who have had negative experiences. AAD is a small business, and a small business is never going to manage to make every single person happy- especially when it comes to children. But you can rest assured that this is a good business run by exceptional people who have a true passion for dance, and for fostering the love of dance in children. As for those who had issues with the recital- late June recitals are the name of the game in the dance world and sometimes they fall on Father's Day when it's the only date left available to the studio. I personally had not one but two friends with children in other dance schools have their recital on the exact same day. I just got an e-mail that this years recital will be held on a Saturday, and will only be half as long as the one last year. The AAD works hard to make sure all their beautiful dancers are showcased and I absolutely appreciate that. We're excited for 2016 and many, many more years with AAD. I would absolutely recommend this studio to everyone. EDIT: Since somebody decided to post a new review falsely claiming that I am Allana I thought I would let everyone know that I am NOT. I am on the Elite teen team this year and was on the senior elite team last year at Allana's. I think of Allana's as my second home. The community is so close and caring. Everyone is so nice and you feel like you are part of a big happy family. I have never met someone who works harder than this woman. Her life is her job. She never stops thinking about the studio and she always makes sure that we have the best equipment and dance floor. She is so great at communicating things with the students's parents and even the students. She would always inform us in something was cancelled on the Allana's Academy Dance Facebook page or she would send an email to inform us. I had so many opportunities this year; I performed in the Harlem Globetrotters halftime show, the Russel Athletic Bowl in Orlando, Florida, the Universal Studios Macy's holiday parade. This coming year anyone at the studio can come to New Orleans to perform in the Sugar Bowl. Allana's girls have also performed in the nuggets pregame show and the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. Allana's Academy of Dance has the most amazing teachers . I am in love with all of the teachers at Allana's. They all are so caring and have the best attitudes and always have a smile on their faces. They make classes as enjoyable as possible for us. This past year alone we have gained four amazing teachers and even one I call my "life coach". These teachers were not only caring, but they also fast tracked my dance abilities. I have improved so much in Jazz, Hiphop, Contemporary, lyrical, tap, and ballet. The teachers never quit in teaching us new things ( even if we could not get it at all), they just kept trying to make us as amazing we could be. The other staff at Allana's are the most hard working staff I have ever seen. They do all of the background things that you would not even think about. They make sure tuition is paid, emails are sent, calls are taken, studio is cleaned, and many other things. Allana's Academy of dance is a dance studio for everyone. I would recommend anyone to come to this studio. read more

My home away from home I absolutely love working for Allana! She has fostered the warmest, most supportive, and compassionate dance family I have ever been a part of. I've never seen another competition dance team that is so bonded, from the youngest dancer (4) to the oldest (17), from the dance moms to the prop dads, and of course the faculty and staff. My daughter has been dancing with Allana since 2009 and loves it - she now dances 5 days a week and I can't pry her away. We came to Allana's after trying various dance classes at 3 other studios in the Littleton area that were fine but nothing great. Since coming to AAD, she has tried every style of dance and has always been taught by skilled, kind, caring, wonderful, and diverse teachers, including Allana herself. The choreography is always amazing and I love seeing the end of the year recital where it all comes together. Allana sets up great public performance opportunities for all the kids, and she also runs a competition team where the focus is truly on building their skill level, team work, and the love of dance, and NOT about unhealthy competition or body image. Reading through some of the negative reviews about AAD, I am really surprised. Yes some of the recitals have been long - that's just the nature of kids dance programs. There are even facebook memes about it! The fees at AAD are very reasonable and in 6 years I have never had a single problem with billing or payments. I get several emails a month with updates, plus the studio has a facebook page, so I never feel like I don't know what is going on, and if I have a question my emails and phone calls have always been answered promptly. So in summary, AAD is amazing and I can't think of anything I would change. read more
