The best community college, honestly…read more My boyfriend goes to middlesex and we're doing the same prerequisites for the DHY program, and let me tell you that all of my professors are so much more helpful and knowledgeable about what they teach. The staff overall at RCBC are more responsive and helpful, especially advising. At middlesex, they are so difficult to reach, and the advisors steer you in the wrong direction, to the point where my boyfriend completed classes he didn't need for the DHY program, and they didn't even notice. Even the professors that teach online classes give clear guidelines and they are super responsive through email. Not to mention, the campus is beautiful and there are so many events happening in the main building, it feels like the school really focuses on a good student atmosphere :). The parking situation is pretty good too! I usually find a spot close to the building I need, there are no cons! Overall, I would most definitely recommend going here, even if you aren't in county! There are so many classes available online, you can do some general education classes here!

The first fieldwork my supervisor had never supervised a student and she would talk about patients behind their backs among other unethical things. This supervisor decided to flunk me and the Stockton fieldwork coordinator did not listen to My grievance at all. In fact, I told the Stockton fieldwork coordinator that there was another OT there who agreed to become my new supervisor and she blew off that idea and gave me an incomplete for that fieldwork which meant I lost the money I paid for the fieldwork plus I had to repeat it. Don't handover a lot of money and waste time if your are not going to get the support if there is trouble at fieldwork.

Over the years I have utilized a page they have set up on Facebook for parents with questions. Parents (especially new empty nesters) have LOTS of questions. I find this page helpful to this day. When I have had to deal with staff in other capacities, they have always be pleasant & helpful. Parking seems to be the biggest issue at the school, there just isn't enough of it. That may be because they are one of the few schools that let freshman bring cars. Hopefully they will work those kinks out but in the interim, the education my daughter received completely negates the parking issue.

They have work opportunities on campus and town is nearby if they want to work in the community. They allow the kids to have their cars on campus from the first year, especially since they require the kids to get involved in a church outside of the school My daughter loves her admissions counselor, guidance counselor and her teachers. She has made a wonderful group of friends, has become involved in a church off campus and she is thriving. I think the biggest testimony to me was anytime we asked any of the students if they liked the school, they all said they loved it. The president is often the speaker at chapel and he teaches a class as well. I just can't say enough about this institution.

The HVAC course was great our Professor ward is very well know elder statesman of this business…read morehe actually does his instructions wearing a cap and gown ‍ and our entire class would do live service calls with Professor WARD he would wear his cap and gown on service calls I remember one time he got tripped up and fell off the ladder he was out for a few weeks in the hospital but taught via zoom so alll was ok. I believe this program is worth it . All of the students are service managers now with less then two years in the field because of our training. I remember going to Turks on graduation day 15 of us in cap and gowns for our party. Wow even the girls had the pasties resembling our graduation caps. What great memories!!!

Students seeking housing due to medical issues are NOT prioritized. There is NO conflict resolution for dealing with problem room mates. Rooms can be reserved for the upcoming semester- which is RIDICULOUS that you may not get your same room if someone else reserves it! The staff advisors from housing to the bursars office come off as random, unqualified individuals in these positions. A few of their professors are also quite questionable, leaving one to wonder how they screen their teaching staff. From the lack of communication to their very basic, outdated website I now have learned that GCU isn't nearly as put together as some of the local Community Colleges. Certainly not a place I'd ever consider again.
