He could not get the countertop straight so he said to get someone in which he paid for. The bad employee was while he was still working here. As for micromanaging i was at work mon-fri 8:30-6 so barely seen them and aggressively pulling on the plumbing lol. And thats not what leaked. The skylight was discussed and to studs as i was the one talking with him not my mother whom i take care of. He said he will even put cedar to box in the skylight to make it nice. As i said we got the contract after i asked why the bathrooms are not gutted. And says i would do damage to a done bathroom?what a joke anyways beware. Make sure you get everything in writing before you let him start. There is way better companies out there.im sure you can tell by the pics that the work he did was subpar grout,caulking etc.

We paid an extra fee for our penny tile. Our powder room is very small, 30 sqft. We paid $300 which…read moreworks out to $10/sqft to have Carmichael re-colour and seal our floor. Outrageous price but it was well worth it to have the floor looking fresh and clean again. At first glance the job looked great and we loved that the floors look brand new again, however upon closer inspection we noticed that the colour that was used left streaks and smears over our tiles (see pictures). As well when they were here, Mike plugged in his fan and it blew the outlet (see picture). After some back and forth he advised me to have an electrician look at it and he kindly offer to pay for the repair but to hold off on paying until we talked to the electrician. I called our electrician and explained what happened and he said that it sounds like it was the fan that was used. However he was out of town and referred me to his colleague. This electrician came out and only charged $50 to fix it and advised that they was nothing wrong with the plug, and the damage came from the fan that was plugged in. I explained this to Mike and he deducted $50 from our invoice which was paid immediately. He came this afternoon with Carla to fix the colour smears and smudges and proceeded to tell me that this is not from his product but rather from the original grout job. According to Mike the smears and smudges I saw was leftover grout smears over my tile. Talk about gaslighting. I clearly know what my floors looked like before they showed up. I assured him that I have scrubbed this floor for years and never have I seen these markings on the floor. He said that his grout colour product does not stick to tile, only grout and therefore it's not his product. I didn't want to argue with them as clearly I was getting nowhere and I just wanted them out of my house. They spent time fixing the floor but it looks the same, no change. I have no idea what they did today. Likely they realized that in order to fix it they would have to spend hours scraping off the colour. Mike is not taking responsibility for the poor job done, after we paid extra and had the hassle of dealing with the electrician and taking time out of our day to have the outlet replaced. The grout colour left behind on the floor is now our problem and we will have to scrape it off ourselves because they were too lazy to do it themselves. I know for certain that is NOT grout. The smears around the base of the toilet show that it was their product because when the bathroom was tiled 7 years ago, we tiled and grouted and then the installed the toilet, so I would like to know how the grout would show up like that on the tile if the toilet wasn't there (see pictures). This is clear evidence they did a sloppy job cleaning the product from off the tiles and that they will not take any responsibility to fix the job! They have amazing reviews which is why we went with them however we would not recommend for anything but simple SQAURE tiles and nothing intricate, as that is obviously out of their league. We contacted Mike last night to explain how unhappy we are and that we have a Google review ready to post. He never contacted us to make it right.
