I contracted with BCS Engineering to write a mod for my X-cart shopping cart to implement LVL II API support for my payment provider. They were very efficient in reviewing the work needed and providing an estimate of the time needed to implement the work. Their programmer started the effort on schedule, though once I found out all the information I would have to provide and additional government tax filings I'd have to perform, I decided the additional discount for this type of support wasn't worth it for my company. BCS Engineering's costs to implement the support was very reasonable, though it was my decision to stop the effort 1/2 way through the development process. BCS Engineering quickly refunded my CC with the difference in what I had paid and the work they had done to the time I cancelled my request. I have worked with BCS Engineering multiple times in the past several years, and have always been impressed with their skill levels and professionalism. Crappy company, terrible customer services, no reason for you to continue, just go somewhere else! We had multiple bad experiences with this development company. Did Not Get What We Paid For: We paid BCS Engineering the amount they requested to make an API change to our business e-Commerce store. Though we paid in advance, the work was never completed. The excuse given was that they could not figure it out and that they would not provide a refund or assist in ensuring what was paid for was completed. HIGH $$$ Hosting: Very high costs in hosting were paid to park our store during maintenance. BCS Engineering removed components to our database and cause much rework during website migration to a new Datacenter. Billing 1 Month In Advance: Our website was shut-off many times by BCS causing unnecessary service interruptions. BCS requires 1 month's advance payment for hosting. If you don't pay, your website is turned off and your mailbox filled with notes from someone named "Lori". No company should go through service disruptions or this type of hassle. BCS Engineering has a very different model. Other companies you work with will give you what you pay for. BOTTOM LINE: BCS Engineering believes that charging the customers in advance secures their best interests, but will not reimburse you if they cannot figure out the work. You should expect LOTS of disruptions to your hosted website if you use their hosting. Their service is slow and unreliable. read more

Submitted a website and e-commerce store redevelopment ticket to BCS Engineering. Sent a couple more follow up emails upon receiving a response for several days. No response. After 3 weeks, the ticket is still unattended (I can login and see my project posted at their site, with no response to it) and after posting a couple inquiries on the forums where they frequent - no response, absolute ignorance. I see they are responding to others, but it is their constitutional right is to not respond to everyone and to choose whom they do business with. The low rating is for absolute ignorance of my project, which was described to them in very detail. read more
