They were able to diagnose the issue, made some observations and advise us on what need to be done. Estimates and detailed suggestions were given for us to make a decision on what to do. I originally asked them to coordinate with a dealership in Navasota, TX, to perform a pre-sale inspection. They did inform me of a Check Engine light, but told me it was related to a faulty hood latch. This turned out not to be the issue. Instead, it actually deals with the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR)/NOx reduction system reporting levels below acceptable levels. While I can't specifically prove that they were derelict in their diagnosis, I find it hard to believe that they didn't catch this issue. I bought an OBD II scanner on Amazon and discovered the problem right away. They were professional and courteous, which should me lauded, but I'm still disappointed this issue wasn't caught during the inspection.
