DO NOT DO ANY CONTRACT WORK FOR BRIAN CARSON. Contracted to do tree trimming at daily rate of $1800. Day ends at 3:30. When cleaning up he wanted extra work done and it including tree removal, which is a different rate. He would not pay until I took down trees and would not pay until the trees were removed. Argued with him that the day included tree removal that was extra money. He would only pay the $1800. This guy has a tattered past with contracting out to customers you would think as a contractor he would understand and respect people he contracts with. Not so. I was aware of the reputation of BDC but was caught off guard by the fact that he was using a S&J Construction dump truck. Once I found out who I was really dealing with I knew I was going to have problems. I won't go into the details, but if you ever consider doing ANY type of business, even what seems like a simple, straight-forward transaction, you are going to get screwed. My 84 year old elderly grandmother, who lives by herself, hired him to plow her driveway over the winter. Halfway through the winter she decided to cancel. He called her and she asked him to send her the bill. As she is on a fixed income, she keeps meticulous records of her finances, so she recorded every time he plowed. When she received the bill, it was twice what it should have been. Of course, she initially refused to pay more than she owed and sent him a check for the agreed to price. A week later, she received a letter in the mail stating that if she didn't pay double the price, he would put a lean on her house as well as all of his legal fees. She was going to fight it, but found out that getting a lawyer would cost much more than just paying it. And, being 84, doesn't want the hassle of taking him to small claims court. This guy preys on the elderly. And if he would do this to an 84 year old woman who lives alone, he will do it to anyone. read more

Dealing with Brian D Carson of BDC Enterprises Inc. is an exercise in futility. Initially, he sounds competent, but any real professionalism is non-existent. To put it bluntly, he is immature. He has difficulty completing the smallest of tasks. When you confront him, he makes excuses, then lets your calls go to voice, then answers your calls by wise guy texts. After firing him, it was necessary to take him to small claims court to recover the money deposited to him for a small job he never even started. Unless you enjoy being abused, think twice before you hire him. There are too many reputable individuals that will actually perform in a responsible manner to a contract. Hiring Brian of BCD Enterprises Inc. in Eliot Maine turned out to be a huge mistake. I hired him to do plowing and at first he seemed like a decent guy. When he called to tell me how much was owed for the end of Jan and all of Feb I was stunned at how high it was. I went to speak with him about it and he would not discuss my concerns nor did he have a copy of the bill ready for me. He wanted me to sit and copy down his list of dates and times. His only response to my concern was to threaten a lien on my house. I paid only because I didn't ask for a copy of the contract initially (of course he didn't offer one either) and because I have so much going on that I couldn't deal with the added stress. He also informed me that I would be paying all of his legal fees if I didn't pay what he claimed I owed. I am simply writing this to let everyone else know to look for anybody else but Brian. He is immature and a bully and does not care at all if you have concerns or questions. After researching with friends and neighbors about how many times they were plowed and or how much they paid I learned that he was at least double (if not more) and I believe he was knowingly plowing more than he needed. Totally not worth the aggravation, he can't be trusted. read more
