Mojitos and Pina Coladas
Alicia Y.

Was looking for a bar and saw this place ranked #1 on Yelp around Covent Garden. So we decided to check it out. Arrived here at 6.30pm, was greeted by a friendly security that thought I looked too young to be drinking (dawwww) and what's best, we made it in for happy hour. 1 FOR 1 FTW! Pina Colada was delicious However we spent about 20minutes ordering and waiting for our drinks (guess last orders were approaching) and there were people ordering 10 glasses of everything. Impressed by the bar tender's memory though, he remembered everyone's drinks and faces The seating arrangements: High couches, mainly suitable for groups of anything larger than 4. I didn't realize they accept reservations, so some of the couch with tables were unavailable. They also have high round tables and stools, pillars with shelf tables you could share with other people and if you're lucky

This "Be At One" location opens a bit later (why do most bars in London close at 11pm???) than others because unexpectedly, it also doubles as a club that plays 80s, 90s, and current Pop. It was kind of strange but cool at the same time to relive our youth...but maybe that is another way of saying that we're getting f'in old. Anyways, the vibe here was good and the age range was around 23-29, so it wasn't too bad for us old folks. As for the cocktails, they have a massive menu. The drinks were a bit weak, but weren't bad at all. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I guess it was pretty fun to people watch because everyone was getting crazy hammered and doing some weird sh*t on the dance floor. No entrance fee was a plus.

I love Be @ One - all of them but especially the one on Russell Street! I always end up going in Happy Hour when I'm in the area, whether it be with my friends or on date night. My favourites are the Blueberry Muffin and a Passionfruit Margarita. However during Happy Hour all of the cocktails in the extensive menu are Buy One Get One Free so for two cocktails, you're never spending more than £10! Bargain if you ask me! The reason why I like Russell Street so much is the atmosphere. During the week it is quiet however they always have awesome music and the staff are always cheerful and polite, recommending cocktails to try. On a Friday and Saturday night it is buzzing! And even though there are long queues at the bar, you always get served fairly quickly. I would recommend going to Be at One in their Happy Hour and if you're in the Covent Garden area and fancy a cocktail or two!

Pineapple Prasol, not great, will try something else next times. Very wide range of cocktails available at BeAtOne.

No queue on the door at 10:30 pm on Friday 04Mar2016, £5 cover charge, great dance music. Crowd is young and drunk, staff are friendly, drinks are a bit pricy, so hit up happy hour somewhere before you arrive. Floor is always a mess though, as the staff don't clean up spilled drinks. If Friday night mayhem is your thing, well then, I will meet you in the dance floor.

Popster!

You certainly feel like a kid in a candy store at this Be At One - especially with the array of colourful, potent cocktails coupled with the flashing lights in the ceiling. You really are spoilt for choice at Be At One (over 200 cocktails) and with expert mixologists you're in good hands. The cocktails are amazing, but as I said earlier, they are potent (even the ice cream cocktails). If a delicious cocktail isn't enough to tantalise your tastebuds, then the buzzing atmosphere certainly will be - really good tunes, a dance floor later in the evening and not to forget the flashing ceiling lights. As well as that, the bar staff are brilliant and really friendly. They have a great happy hour (2 for 1 of the same cocktail till 7pm on most nights and if you download the app, you get an extended "appi" hour - wonderful). If you haven't tried a Be At One cocktail, get on it! Have an Irish Disco Biscuit (or two).

FRIES WITH TRUFFLE CHEESE The fries weren't as crispy as I would've liked, but the soft bite similar to mashed potatoes was pretty good. The cheese itself really carried the rich flavors of the truffle without overwhelming your tastebuds. Such a decadent cheese. SALT AND PEPPER SQUID The squid meat itself wasn't over cooked which is easy to do and makes it feel like you're chewing on a tire. Not the case here. The squid was fried perfectly, nice and crispy first bite. The garlic aioli complimented the batter they used to fry the squid in, very tasty. PEKING DUCK LETTUCE WRAPS These lettuce wraps were the perfect two bites sized appetizers. Such a flavorful and well cooked duck. The cucumber salad and lettuce helped bring the intensity of flavors down so that you could enjoy every bite. There's a full bar, but service is a little slow and congested. Staff are really nice and friendly. The dart games are so involved where each player can have their selfie taken and name displayed on the board. You can compete as teams or against each other depending on your chosen game. At the end, there is a final game stats to show who won and a group photo to conclude all the fun. A fantastic way to test out your dart skills and have fun with your loved ones!

Came for a quick drink and a bite to cap off what was already a terrific evening. Maybe it was…read morebecause it was kind of (not really) late and there weren't many other places open (aside from the first place we tried across the street who told us the kitchen was closed even though they were open for another 3 hours) but the place was packed! And it was loud. I guess technically it was a darts place and so there was a lot of excitement near the dartboard area. The bar staff were all buzzing about shaking their shakers and pouring drinks. It was a great vibe - apropos for a Friday night. Ok we got the little bit lychee drink (subbed vodka for gin) which was excellent with what looked like a dark dahlia floating on top. I wanted to try a British beer and got the magic rock saucery session pale ale (saying its name is like a built in sobriety test). The ale was definitely IPA but with a really clean finish. And because I'm a pig, ordered the fries with truffle cheese. Wow that was so so good! Shoestring fries with a heavy drizzle of truffle melted cheese. I can't really complain about the super loud music since it probably suited the main clientele and was really good (club versions of many 80s songs). So it looks like a really fun joint for the young locals with some older folks who maybe stumbled in like we did. Really nice bartenders and front staff. Thanks for not giving us a BS line to keep us out like the other place.
