Had she had made it clear on her website that she is against vaccines and the science behind them, I would have never made the appointment. Aside from her blatant disregard for public health, Cassandra was extremely rude to me. I left just a few minutes into it because I was so uncomfortable. I'm not sure if she was being particularly rude to me because she could tell I was uncomfortable from her not wearing a mask/her sign or if she treats every customer this way. I've never been spoken to the way she did by a 'professional' in the beauty/health/wellness industry. It was as if she was mad at ME for being there! I thought maybe I had booked the wrong thing online, so a minute into her brash line of questioning I apologized and said, "oh I'm sorry I thought I booked a consultation," she responded in a condescending tone saying, "I know-this is me consulting you." It's concerning that this person is claiming a 'science based' approach to her work when it's very clear that she is not aligned with the scientific community. I'd caution anyone to patronize this business, particularly during this omicron surge.

I thought I would post my story for any of you out there that care. I have been going to the Lynnwood American Skincare location since October of 2012. I am a 31 year old female that had been suffering with an abundance of unwanted facial hair since I was 15yo or so. Due to my insecurities I didn't talk to anyone about it when I was younger and continued to suffer silently well into adult hood. I tried several things to rid myself of the unwanted hair - waxing, plucking, using an epilator...... yeah ouch!..... all failed. So everyday before I left my house I had to shave...... This year for an early Christmas present my parents offered to pay for laser hair removal and ordered me to make an appointment! LOL - I had tried to do this before, but had, had a awful consultation experience with another location or was it this one, under different management - not really sure! This time meeting with the girls at American Laser Skincare in Lynnwood, WA was a completely different experience. I found ALL of them to be pleasant, caring and great at what they do. All of them have been very supportive of my whining about the process... Face it... it's a laser - IT HURTS!! but there effective ways to make it tolerable. :) By my 3rd treatment (one a month for 10 treatments), I had at least a 75% visible, reduction (if not more) in the treatment area - which for what I was growing, is a HUGE amount. i no longer have to shave EVERY time I leave the house. No longer do I care, or have to check..... The freedom from the mirror and confidence these wonderful ladies have given to me is priceless. For all of you naysayers out there - this is my story and experience - this doesn't mean that ever person is going to have great results. In 2 weeks I go back for my 5th treatment out of 10 and was told at my last treatment that they are getting in a new laser machine and it is the Cadillac of lasers..... (50 now!) I have had not only bags under my eyes but lumps. It's genetic and I saw George Stephanapolis' wife Ally Wentworth go through a very public blepharoplasty procedure on youtube and I was finally inspired to do it. (Look it up--she shows the whole thing and wishes she did it a decade earlier--what a transformation!!) Dr. Wortham explained in detail how the procedure is performed and what I would expect as far as preparation and recovery times. I think I came in for 2 or 3 mini consults (as an addendum to the Botox appointments) before I finally signed on the dotted line. They give you very easy to follow, step by step instructions, day by day instructions what to do weeks before and hour by hour directly after--for 7 days post surgery. They gave me a personal cell phone number which was available all weekend in the event I had pre-surgery jitters and anxiety--and if I was overthinking about anything, they were on board to answer any questions. It is fortunate to not only find a very skilled and exact surgeon, but a big blessing to find someone who adds to that, intuition and anticipatory attention to details before, during and after the procedure. I am not getting any perks or freebies for this review. You can see I've yelped for a decade and a half) Every day I get compliments on how rejuvenated and refreshed I look and so I felt compelled to tell those who are looking for a good team to help out with cosmetic procedures, particularly Eyelid surgery--upper and lower.
