I called for an appointment with Lisa Brent and was forced to interact with dr pedro prior to being granted an appointment with L Brent. As mentioned in several other reviews Dr Pedro is not going to help you. She is what professionals call a cookbook naturopath. Rather than diagnose and guide she just throws any and every profit generating item at you. I became more ill so i ran her advice by my GP. Dr Brent and Kristi are top notch with regards ro everything from the office experince to the office visit and follow-up/responsiveness. My first appointment with Dr Brent was overwhelmingly positive. It started wtih Kristi's welcoming manner and extended through my at least one hour visit. Dr. Brent took all of me in and showed deep compassion, knowledge and open-mindedness to creative, non-western and western medicine approaches. I have had several challenges, especially one where I needed immediate advice and guidance an ob-gyn surgeon's approach to my problem. I have been with Dr. Brent and Be Well Natural Medicine for 3 years now. I first started in 2021 to get my health in order before my wedding, but also to address my hormones in preparing to get pregnant within the following year. Being in the digestive health world, I knew that it would take some time to address all of my issues starting with the gut. Living with PCOS for over 10 years I have always struggled with an irregular cycle. Dr. Brent really took a deep dive with me and we took things slow in the beginning while also waiting on certain functional tests to come back. I have worked with 2 or 3 other ND's in the past and I had an immediate connection with Dr. Brent she did not overwhelm me with too many protocols. She prescribed me a natural thyroid medication right away which all of my doctors in the past had said I did not need one and that my thyroid was "normal". My energy immediately shifted, and along with some other supplements that were tailored for my specific hormonal needs, I slowly started to get my cycle regulated. We had also discovered I had SIBO, which I will not sugar coat, it is not an easy protocol but if you are willing to do the work it works. Best of all, I had a successful IVF transfer on my first try at 40 years old and had a healthy and happy pregnancy to term. I worked with Dr. Natalie Pedro and unfortunately I feel like it was a huge waste of money and time. For over a year, I got diagnosis after diagnosis (it seemed like there was always something new to explain my symptoms) and pill after pill. For a good while I was on over 30 supplements and pills per day. We were constantly starting and stopping meds. Dr. Lisa Brent is amazing. I have been seeing her for five years: initially for help with menopause and then later for other health concerns (colitis, allergies, insomnia etc). Dr. Brent is a good listener, great problem solver and is very empathetic and knowledgeable. Her professional care is offered with grace and good humor. Dr. Brent is the most genuine, caring, attentive, and wonderful doctor I have ever encountered. She really listens and I feel in great care with her. I couldn't possibly recommend her more. She has gone above and beyond for me, consistently. I had an incredible scare when I was rushed to the E.R. after having a terrible reaction to the HPV vaccine. I had brain swelling, a fully dilated left pupil, and horrible migraine. I lost feeling in my left arm. No one could figure out what was wrong with me. Dr. Brent fit me in immediately, and assessed the situation. She helped me with IV's to repair the vaccine damage and altered my diet. She called and checked in with me frequently and when I had flare ups, she would contact me back within an hour and really heard me and tended to my needs. She is the first doctor to realize that it might be due to Lymes Disease. She was correct! If she hadn't paid such close attention, we would have missed the signs that I was reacting to this vaccine due to a Lymes infection I already had. I had been battling with weird symptoms my entire life, but no other doctors thought anything of it, I am 27 so they told me I looked healthy and vitals were fine and didn't believe me. She believed me, and has changed my life. I have since had strange care with other doctors in regards to my Lyme's, and even though it is not Dr. Brent's specialty she still checks in on me and helps support me and is my go-to. I possibly would not be alive if not for her. She is the most attentive doctor and has gone way above and beyond for me. I am happy to say my health has been vastly improving, and it is because of Dr. Brent. She really is my #1. Not only is Dr. Brent incredible, but her staff is so warm and caring - to match Dr. Brent. Meeting Dr.Brent is like meeting your friend. She is so sensitive, intelligent and caring. In today's world finding Dr.'s who truly have time for you as a patient and listen to you is hard to find. I came to Dr. Brent with issues around my thyroid and weight. My regular Dr kept telling me my numbers were normal but nothing about my symptoms were. After spending time talking she switched my medicine from Levotheroxine to Naturethroid. She also increased my dosage. My symptoms have turned around! I feel so much better! I also had issues with my stomach and realized my old medication was the issue. Dr. Brent listened to me. Lisa is a healer through and through. I came to see her for acupuncture dealing with hormonal issues. She is very warm, compassionate and nonjudgmental. She makes you feel more like a friend than a patient. Everyone in her office is friendly & chill...it rubs off on you - I'm immediately relaxed when I walk in the door. What can I say but that Lisa Brent is fantastic. I started seeing her in 2013 for some major shifts in my lovely PMS/cycle. I had some bad ones but they were getting worse as I was getting a tad older. After having my initial visit we decided to try the acupuncture to help me out with my stress and overall hormone hell. All she suggested I did and it helped me out tremendously. I felt like a new person so much more energy and positive outlook.
