I worked with Dr. Daniel for about 2.5 years as I was getting sick too often with colds and flus. Instead of improving my immune system, it got dramatically worse and my overall health and fitness degraded a lot. Dr. Daniel did a lot of pricy and questionable testing and put me on 41 pills a day of either supplements or prescription medicine. I developed a concerning medical condition I'd never had before that made me feel sicker than ever, requiring me to stop eating many foods, and made me so fatigued, all I could do was lie on the couch most days for months. It was miserable. I finally got fed up with her after the second time she raised her prices significantly during the pandemic and fired her. I had spent tens of thousands of dollars on her appointments, testing and supplements. I immediately went off of everything she had prescribed and felt so much better within two weeks. My health has been just fine since I stopped following her advice 18 months ago. She may have a lot of five-star Yelp reviews but read them closely - few mention good medical outcomes from working with Dr. Daniel. That's because she gives her patients a discount on supplements in exchange for Yelp reviews which they write at the beginning of their treatment before they have any outcomes. Excellent doctor; disappointing practice. First of all, Dr. Daniel is extraordinary: extremely well-informed, profound, compassionate, and caring. Working with her had an incredibly positive effect on my health and well-being and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her, and get back to optimal health. However, there have been recent changes to the practice that feel de-humanizing. Today, in the midst of a pandemic, I tried to log in to ask a question or make a short appointment, and was told my account was "inactive" as I had not had an appointment in a year. I called to see if I could ask Dr. Daniel, a doctor I really trust, a question or make an appointment, and Jason/Jonathan called me to tell me that I was no longer a patient, and the practice was not accepting new patients. I told him I'd been a patient since 2015, and asked him how I could make an appointment, or ask Dr. Daniel a question, and he said I would need to go online and read about my options, that who knows if I could be seen again, but that I might be a "level 2" or "level 3. " When I asked him what that meant, he said I should go online. As a longtime patient, a mother, and a scientist, I felt hurt and disrespected by this de-humanizing interaction. It seemed that the rug had been swept out from under my feet - I was booted from the practice because I felt well and hadn't had an appointment in a year. These new policies, and the interaction with Jason/Jonathan were the exact opposite of my previous experience with Dr. Daniels (warm, humanizing, caring). He left me with no other option than to seek other care. read more

Dr. Daniels is on the cutting edge of where the health industry needs to go. A holistic and indepth approach to healing the body. I've been struggling with IVF treatments and getting pregnant. I never had the opportunity to work with Dr. Stephanie since it is absolutely impossible to get a hold of someone there. I've called many times (during live hours) and have left a few voice messages, sent several emails and even filled out the new patient application (per Dr. Stephanie's request). The only time I ever had the opportunity to speak to someone (Kevin, whom I believe is one of the patient coordinators... not sure) was when I kindly requested a 10-minute phone consultation and was scheduled to speak to Brittany (Functional Nutritionist/Health Coach). I was told that I would receive a phone call at a given time (8/22 at 4:15pm to be exact) in which I never did. So, I followed up via email and phone but no one bothered to return my calls or email. I'm extremely disappointed and believe that this is truly unprofessional of them. I think Dr. Daniel is skilled. However, it became increasingly frustrating working with her staff and her system. It feels like it's one big money grab. In addition to the high initial costs (which I expected), there's a monthly fee. What do you get for that fee? I'd say nothing. Dr Daniel put me on a protocol and had her PA discuss details with me. However, that PA was incompetent and couldn't seem to answer my questions about the protocol. When I asked more clarifying questions - all through an impersonal patient portal - I was asked to book an appointment. Which would cost an additional $200. Because the PA is incompetent. During the early months the covid pandemic, they were sending me notifications on the portal, which I never saw (because pandemic) and therefore never replied to. Instead of picking up the phone - I do pay $20 a month after all - they said they could no longer work with me. Again, it all seems like a money grab. I felt like I was taken advantage of in my attempt to increase my health and wellbeing. I've worked with other functional medicine doctors and feel your time and money is better spent elsewhere. read more

Dr. Daniel has received rave reviews from so many of my patients I feel compelled to share my impression of her here. Clearly she has a deep and very insightful approach to identifying the underlying / root causes that lead to illness - sometimes multiple causes. I have rarely found a doctor with as much versatility in her approach, as I have known her to solve complex metabolic and hormonal issues, fertility issues, and even intricate immune function issues with finesse and efficiency. Given that most of what works in medicine is not taught in medical school, I am truly in awe of the expertise Dr. Daniel has managed to achieve. I've never written a yelp review before, but feel compelled to so here. Dr. Daniel may very well be knowledgable, have a good approach, and be a good diagnostician. But I believe she is first and foremost a business woman. It's a shame that our current medical system does not support functional medicine and we are forced to go outside traditional insurance plans to get this kind of treatment. My experience with her was that she prioritized expanding her practice over giving me thoughtful and quality care and information. As a result, I felt that I was being extorted into paying her to get more and better information about a condition that she had diagnosed. I discovered Dr. Daniel while researching Sara Gottfried and JJ Virgin. Dr. Daniel is incredible. I have recommended her to my husband and several of my friends. She is extremely thorough and absolutely brilliant. She understands health and hormones from a holistic perspective, incorporating nutrition and stress-management into her sessions, as well as hormone treatments. Understanding hormones is everything, and she is on the cutting edge. She does extensive diagnostics, from adrenal function testing, to genetic testing, to thyroid function, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and other hormone tests. She explained some of my health issues from a genetic perspective. She taught me how my compromised methylation pathway (indicated by a mutation on the MTHFR gene) made it difficult for my system to process B vitamins, and other essential neurochemicals. Her insights changed my life. By taking a methylated form of B vitamins (and SAM-e) I have more mood stability than I have ever had. Her recommended changes to my diet and supplements have made me clearer and less foggy, plus I sleep better and have my hormones balanced. I am so glad she is by my side as I navigate the changes of menopause. Dr. Daniel is warm and supportive and completely present and engaged with her patients. She is a beautiful woman inside and out. I fully believe that she wants me to thrive and live a healthy vibrant life. She engages with me at a very high level, explaining complicated hormone regulation and biochemistry in a way that allows me to understand and implement an integrated approach to health.
