I came to him with an aching back from work and a need to do some gym activity to get me out of my winter funk. It was proving difficult for me to get motivated on my own and I knew I needed assistance so I wouldn't injure my back. Malcolm knew exactly how to get me excited about fitness from the first time meeting him. We went over my goals and I can honestly say I feel like I achieved most, if not all of them. During our personal training sessions I was able to do weights and movements I didn't think were possible. I ALWAYS left in a good mood, feeling accomplished and proud of myself. I felt so strong! Malcolm was also great with nutrition guidance and helped me see some patterns in my eating habits that I did not recognize myself. (RIP cheese on everything). He gave me meal ideas and would check in with me in between workouts to see how I was holding up; (much appreciated/needed). Ultimately, Malcolm is an awesome personal trainer. He is kind, thoughtful and easy to be around... even while your sweating and dying from the workouts!

He is always keeping my body guessing and he constantly varies the routine. I am extremely happy that I found this gym to supplement my routine. He's done a great job of understanding my fitness goals and creating a workout plan that feels catered to my needs. His cues and guidance help a lot, and it really feels like you're working out with a buddy who's always rooting for you. I've noticed a steady an improvement in my body when it comes to things like lifting, carrying heavy grocery bags, etc. I also really appreciate how clean the gym is. The equipment feels new, and the small, semi-private vibe helps me focus on my own workout. Highly recommend this place!

Hello, I have been a member of this gym for over 20 years…read more Many times, I have told people EVERYWHERE that this is the best gym in the world because of it's variety and amount of equipment and space. I have left reviews on the internet to this effect. I would like to continue this sentiment, but I just cannot anymore. I recently took a long break from the gym after renewing my membership (I think in September or November of 2025). The main reason is the music played on the PA system. It is HORRIBLE and WAY TOO LOUD. It is like a bad nightclub with crappy inappropriate music that serves more to distract and drain energy. It is so loud that I can't even bring headphones and enjoy my own music without turning them up so loud I nearly go deaf to drown out the terribly loud crap music in this gym. Not everyone that works out in a gym wants nightclub type "thump thump" or crappy pop music. SOME PEOPLE WANT NO MUSIC AT ALL SO THEY CAN CONCENTRATE AND BE IN THEIR OWN THOUGHTS. It also causes people's conversations to be overly loud and obnoxious. The TYPE of music in this gym is disgusting and in poor taste. The volume is so bad that people wearing headphones complain that it is too loud. I have seen people who graduate from ear buds to noise resistant "can" type headphones in this gym just to drown out the music in this gym. I have voiced my distaste and annoyance about this to the staff and owners many times and I seem to be disregarded, which I find HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL for someone who has been paying for year-long memberships for over 20 years. I have become so desperate I even offered to pay for the Sirius XM membership if you would just shut it off and you laughed at me WHEN I WAS DEADLY SERIOUS. This is how bad it is. Not a single person there wants to hear this music and especially at this volume. IF I WANTED A NIGHT CLUB, I WOULD GO TO A NIGHT CLUB. IF I WANTED AEROBICS MUSIC FOR A DANCE CLASS I WOULD GO TO AN AEROBICS DANCE CLASS. I COME TO THIS GYM TO LIFT WEIGHTS/WORKOUT, NOT DANCE AROUND LIKE AN IDIOT! It just tells me that you don't care about your customers/members and disregard anything they desire. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, READ THE DAMNED ROOM! EVERYONE IN THAT GYM IS WEARING HEADPHONES. EVEN THE CLEANING CREW WEARS HEADPHONES! READ THE ROOM! TURN OFF THE DAMNED MUSIC! Clearly this is impossible for you to understand and don't care. I live next door to this gym, but I will seriously pay more or walk many blocks to go to a gym that listens to their customers and doesn't force feed them crappy clubby teenage shit-pop music when everyone is wearing headphones trying to avoid it. READ THE DAMNED ROOM!!!

Don't…read moreget me wrong, they've got equipment to spare, but no towels, no soap or shampoo in the showers, no overnight lockers available, one water fountain (serving 4 floors), and they choose to clean the toilet/shower area during business hours without any announcement, just hanging a sign that says closed for cleaning. I walked in, changed my shirt, and I gave my notice to cancel my membership. The woman tramping around cleaning when I wanted to take my shower and dress was the last straw. I will have to rearrange things a bit in my apartment (it will be tight), but I will have a 15 second trip to the "gym", will be able to listen to my choice of music out loud, will have plenty of fresh water right at hand, and will enjoy a leisurely, private shower afterwards. If home exercise doesn't work out, there's a Planet Fitness not far away. I can't imagine it being lower-grade than this place, and it costs half as much to be a member.

This is a small business owned and started by Callie and it does NOT have any sort of corporate feel. The studio is so cozy and you can tell that Callie really puts her heart and soul into it. I love the esthetic of the studio- the plants are luscious and there is so much attention to detail with all the decorations. The classes are very affordable. I buy the class packs which amount to about $17 per class but you can find an even better deal if you snag them during one of the sales. As others have mentioned, it's also amazing that the classes don't expire. This makes me feel like the studio wants you to use the classes and have a good experience rather than being focused on profits. I really feel like there is something here for everyone. There is a variety of teachers, so you have to try a few classes out to see who you like! In the same vein, if you try a class and it's not your thing, don't be afraid to try another one as there is such a range of teaching styles. My personal favorites are Melissa, Katie, Ann, and of course, Callie. While the teachers all have differences in teaching style, they all focus on being in tune with your body, taking breaks when needed and enjoying the workout. The classes are 45 minutes and it goes FAST. They are also a lot of fun. The only improvement I would wish for would be more after work (6:30 PM or later) classes. It can be tough to make it to classes with my work schedule as I leave the city at 6:30 AM and am not back until 6:30 PM. As a result, I can only make it to Tuck during my days off whereas corporate studios tend to have more class times. Again, though, because the classes don't expire, I am not rushing to finish my packs and come to the studio when I can.

I did want to share some feedback about a recent class with a guest instructor. During the class, I was corrected several times in front of everyone for things that weren't related to safety. While I understand that corrections are part of learning, being singled out like that made me feel self-conscious rather than encouraged, especially since I'm still building confidence in my practice. I think it could be helpful to encourage instructors, especially guest instructors, to offer non-safety-related corrections more discreetly when possible, or to check in with students about how they prefer to receive feedback. I imagine that approach would help many people feel more comfortable and supported while they're learning. Overall, I still think this is a wonderful studio with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. I just wanted to share my experience in the hope that it helps preserve the supportive environment that has made me enjoy coming here so much.
