Ambiance: 5 stars Food: 5 stars Cocktails: 5 stars Staff: 4.5 stars Everything we ordered tasted amazing!!! This is by far our favorite restaurant. The experience was great. The money we spent was well worth it. Best cocktails we've ever had (we tried 4 of them). Staff were friendly and polite! Took off .5 because not all were welcoming. Overall, we had a great experience!!! Will definitely come back again!

    Dessert....the crème brûlée .....amazing!!!

One of the most incredible restaurants that I've been to. It is well worth the efforts to get a reservation. The fish was fresh and recipes delicious, desserts had Hawaiian flare and ingredients and tasted great. Food 5 stars Drinks 5 stars Service 5 stars loved the real hibiscus the staff wears in their hair View 5 stars Ambiance 5 stars Amazing spot for lunch

We enjoyed a view of the ocean while waiting for our table. A great opportunity to take some photos and watch some sea turtles as well.

The beach and location was one of the best on Maui. A hidden gem tucked away with an amazing atmosphere. Be sure to book your reservation well in advance. Four seasons staff had to pull some strings to get us a table for four. The hostess seemed a little short with us initially while waiting to be seated albeit she was seating reservations scheduled out every fifteen minutes. The food was incredible as were the beverages. There is something for every pallet.

My boyfriend went here with his parents more than 20 years ago and said it was one of his moms favorite places. He talked it up pretty high and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. From the view to the service to the food and drinks, this place was a masterpiece. Thankful he made reservations in advance. We will be back!

...and of course when curry is in the menu, I just have to order it. Yum

OMG, pure dining heaven! We finally made it to Mama's Fish House in Maui...the food, the service, ambiance=5 stars!!!!! It's been a few months since we dined at this place but I still remember...the sight of a beautiful blue-green ocean behind it, the sound of the waves, the different tastes of exotic foods and of course a yummy mai tai drink in my hand. Simply a treat for the senses and deliciousness I will remember always...and the hospitality of the Hawaiian islands can't be beat of course.

Great foods and service. Still thinking about it even after I have left Hawaii. The line is long, so if you plan to go, arrive a bit early.

Walking here is beautiful as well with the views but you do walk by Mama's Fish House. Mama's fish house is beautiful in my opinion but just note you have that technically right behind you / the beach. Can get windy here so not always best spot to bring umbrella.

Because of the reef that protects the little cove from the north shore swell, the water is calm and eases onto the shore gently. The sand isn't like the fine white sand you find at most other beaches, but more of the bigger, stickier variety. Many shells and corals also line the shore. Take a walk and you'll get a good exfoliation ;) On our last visit a few turtles were out, resting on the shore. I watched in dismay as many people decided to sit/lay within close distance to them or walk closer to get a better look/photo. Please DO NOT go near the turtles. I get it, I still get happy when I see them out and about, but please leave them alone. They have a sign posted on a beach just for that reason. Aside from that, this beach is a nice, convenient spot to hangout and chill for a bit with our little guy where we can have peace of mind knowing a crazy wave won't come and pull him into the water. There are parking stalls available at the entrance of Mama's Fish House. Prepandemic, the stalls would often fill up easily. At the moment, parking should be easier to find. Just a note that there are many, many guests of the restaurant that stop by this beach as they wait to be seated. It got busier as we got closer to sunset hours. One person even tried to climb the coconut tree that was near us and fell down, almost hitting my husband. We started to feel a little unsafe as the crowds grew and many weren't wearing their mask so, we hele'd on out of there as a precaution. Enjoy & stay safe.

We visited on afternoons on weekdays, which could have contributed to how quiet it was. The few visitors at the park were bodyboarding or surfing peacefully. With the trees behind the shore, there's plenty of shade to share. Even on windier days, the hill behind the shore blocks the breeze from kicking up loose sand. Like many beaches on the island, the sand is soft as silk; however, the shoreline is murky from silt and there's a substantial layer of hard, fist-sized rocks to walk through you get into the water. Not so much the clear blue waves found elsewhere in Maui-- larger, cloudy waves here are better for bodyboarding than gentle swimming. TBH, just sitting and listening to the ocean is enough of a reason to visit. Though the waves are rougher and the water reaches quite high up the shore, there's at least a few meters of dry sand to lay your towels. There are rinsing stations, public restrooms, and trash cans at the entrance (grass side), but be mindful that there are a few transients camped out near this area.
