Critical: Quality, Value We had high hopes for Beach, Babes, and Buckets, but our hopes fell short. We live on the island and try various cleaning companies to see who cleans the best. My wife and I use to own a house and carpet cleaning company, so we know what to look for when a company comes to clean for us. The home we had cleaned today is our second home; we live here 1-2 weeks out of the month. Even though we have a four-bedroom and four-bathroom house, two of the bedrooms are only used once a year, same with two of the bathrooms. We got a quote to clean the house for $200 and accepted the quote. Two ladies showed up today to clean, and when we told them we would leave so they could clean, they told us to come back in 2 hours because that's all the time allowed. I never got quoted a time frame with my initial quote; I thought it was clean until finished? First the PROS 1) They got to the house one time. 2) We asked them to remove shoes before cleaning, and they did. 3) The two ladies who came were nice. Now the CONS 1) They missed a spiral staircase and didn't dust or vacuum it. 2) They missed the top floor where the spiral staircase leads. So the entire room wasn't cleaned. 3) The floors were not vacuumed well. 4) Two of the shag rugs were not vacuumed. 5) The stovetop (flat glass top) was not cleaned correctly. 6) The technicians told the owner they cleaned five bathrooms and five bedrooms. We only have four bedrooms and four bathrooms. One bedroom was turned into an office, and I told them not to clean it. So they just cleaned four bathrooms and three bedrooms. No idea how they got 5 and 5? 7) The top of the washer and dryer was not dusted. 8) The side tables were not dusted and cleaned After the cleaning, I texted the owner, and she said they have a 24-hour guarantee and could send someone out. While I appreciate that, once you leave my house and don't do a job correctly, I would rather fix it myself. Would I use the company again or recommend them to someone else? My wife and I won't use them again simply because of the number of items missed or overlooked. They seemed to be in a rush and only allowed two hours to clean (we were never told it was on an hourly basis). At this point, we will be looking for a smaller company that can dedicate more time to us. read more
