As a first time mom, I had a really hard time looking for a daycare and trusting someone that I don't know with my baby. After my friend referred me to Teeny Tots, I went through a thorough interview process and had a tour of the preschool. Mrs. Tina took extra time to show us around and answer all our questions, she also played with my son and he felt comfortable around her. We gave Teeny Tots a try and that was the best decision we made for our baby. My son attended Teeny Tots for 3.5 years and it became his second home. This preschool has a strong emphasis in teaching and developing the age appropriate skills including emotional intelligence, alphabet, colors, shapes, counting, art, public speaking, etc, but most importantly it provides a safe and loving environment for the little ones. I love that every day/week has a specific schedule and all the kids are following the routine. Mrs. Tina and Mrs. Tammy organize fun events throughout the year including birthday and holiday celebrations, water play days, field trips, movie nights and even family events. They always go above and beyond to make every kid feel special. I cried after I dropped off my son at Teeny Tots the first time when he was 18months old and I cried again the day he graduated from there. I am so grateful to amazing Mrs. Tina and Miss Tammy for everything they did for my son and I truly hope that his "big school" teachers will be as great as they are because Teeny Tots set up the bar really high. We are so lucky that our son's school journey started at Teeny Tots because it is truly special.

Enrolling our then 2 yr old here was the best decision as we've seen her grown to be independent, social and kind. One thing that amazed us was with Miss Tina and Miss Tammy's extensive background in early childhood education. They put 10000% effort in their program and make each learning experience fun! The class sizes are not too big and ratios are nice making it an ideal setting. Hours of operation is also very ideal for parents with long hours. The teachers take time to share highlights of our child's day which we love to hear all the time! Their cleaning standard is also golden as they disinfect and deep clean the premises routinely which put our minds at ease. This takes up extra time for them too but they only, truly want the best for the kids. We had nothing but the most wonderful experience at Teeny Tots. My husband and I highly encourage parents looking for care to check them out!

From the time he was…read morejust 10 months old until nearly 4 years old (2021 to 2024), he spent his days surrounded by love, laughter, learning, and the kind of care that is truly hard to put into words. As brand-new parents, the idea of handing our baby over to someone else's care was nerve-wracking. It was the first time we had ever let him out of our sight. But from the very first meeting, Ms. Ana put our fears to rest. Our son connected with her right away. There was an immediate warmth and a sense of safety that we could feel, and that early bond only grew stronger over the years. Ms. Ana and her team didn't just take care of our son. They truly loved him. They guided him, celebrated him, and gave him the kind of attention and encouragement that every child deserves. Her home is filled with joy and structure, and she creates an environment where children can feel both comfortable and inspired to grow. Ms. Ana's backyard is also incredible: a spacious, thoughtfully designed area full of engaging sensory activities, outdoor play structures, and creative spaces where kids can explore, imagine, and move their bodies. Our son spent countless happy hours out there, and it made a huge difference in his development and overall happiness. At home, he was a picky eater, but somehow he always ate everything at Ms. Ana's. Her homemade meals were not only healthy and nourishing, but also made with love. She also took incredible care with his food allergies and made sure he always felt safe and included. Ms. Ana was also deeply attentive to his sleep needs. She didn't force a rigid one-size-fits-all nap schedule. Instead, she paid attention to what he needed and worked with us to create a routine that helped him stay well-rested and emotionally regulated throughout the day. Knowing he was getting that kind of care gave us real peace of mind. Beyond the care, what truly set Ms. Ana's House apart was the learning. She built a thoughtful and personalized learning environment that sparked our son's curiosity and helped him develop a love of discovery. He came home every day eager to share songs, stories, and art projects. We especially appreciated the take-home activities that enriched his learning and gave us a chance to be part of the process. Many of the interests and skills he has today were nurtured during his time there. Ms. Ana also builds a genuine partnership with parents. She always made time to listen to our concerns, welcomed our input, and worked collaboratively with us to support his growth. She was attuned to his needs while also encouraging him to try new things and gain confidence in himself. When it was time for him to graduate to preschool, it was incredibly bittersweet. We were excited for the next chapter but so sad to leave such a special place behind. To this day, we still visit Ms. Ana because our son loves to see her. His face lights up the moment we walk in, and that says everything about the lasting impact she has had on our family. We will always be grateful to Ms. Ana, her staff, and her family. They gave our son a foundation of love, learning, and security that was above and beyond. We truly consider them part of our own family. If you have the chance to enroll your child at Ms. Ana's House, do it. It is the kind of care every parent dreams of finding.

For the most developmentally critical months of her life, she has been under Ms. Ana's care. It is an understatement to say that the environment has been nurturing; Ms. Ana and the day care have played such a formative role in supporting my daughter with a comforting, learning, playing, growing home-outside-of-home that have helped to develop great confidence and happiness. She is thriving. And she is so excited to go back to Ms. Ana's every day! The care has been matched to every developmental stage -- but most of all, matched to my daughter as an individual. When we first started, Ms. Ana quickly established a more regular routine with naps and meals that were a great comfort to our daughter (and her parents). Ms. Ana played a leading role in supporting our daughter's transition to solid foods, and helping to establish an extremely positive and healthy relationship with eating everything on her plate. It's easy when there are two delicious, healthy, cooked-from-scratch meals catered to the children. Engaging learning activities have evolved with my daughter's blossoming mind rather than specific age ranges. Ms. Ana always has a sense for where my my daughter needs a bit of extra attention to support or to amplify. As my daughter has gotten older and her vocabulary is expanding, Ms. Ana started sending some "homework" that my daughter loves; books to read and vocabulary flash cards. There have also been creative arts and crafts projects, leading to many mementos we are able to hold on to :) Ms. Barbara, who leads the administrative side, also supports in the early childhood education pedagogy and is also such a wonderful and supportive caregiver and advocate of our daughter and her needs and wants. It is also an understatement to say that Ms. Ana's House is a daycare. It is truly a cultivated community, with family activities and events, celebrations and birthday parties, and daily fun at drop off and pick up. We are incredibly grateful to have been able to share this critical developmental time in our family's life with Ms. Ana's House and look forward to more amazing moments to come.

We have had 3 kids come through BB5 and the program just keeps getting better. Yes daycare is expensive (everywhere) but BB5 is worth it. Here are a few examples: - the app (while not the greatest app) is a huge step up from the paper we used to get. I love seeing real time updates, knowing if my kid ate or not, how much he slept, etc. As a parent it really helps me anticipate and adjust what our evening will look like. - Electronic sign in/out - yes! - Staff knows every face coming in and out. Strict security protocols for anyone entering those doors. - Love seeing all the pics and the activities the kids do every day. I have a massively better appreciation for the creative hands on engagement and activities they do with the kids on a daily basis. I also get to see all the friends and ask my child about them. It helps us have a good conversation after school and I'm always surprised at everything he has to share with me after the right prompt. - So many organized events like the Thanksgiving party and Valentine's, but also snow day, kidchella, Holi festival of color, etc. Really cute to break up their routine with fun events. And you actually get to see whole albums of pics of how much fun they had! - The teachers all greet me with a smile and often an update on how my child's day was (unprompted). They show genuine care and connection which I appreciate so much given that we leave our most precious asset in their hands for 10 hours a day. - Smocks during messy play!! - Kids are well adjusted to structure and have a seamless transition to school once they graduate. Thank you BB5 for being such a pivotal part of our kids' young lives and setting them up for success as they go into school!

Our experience with Beach Babies ended with conduct from Director of Operations Christie Komula…read morethat I found extraordinarily unprofessional and ultimately disqualifying for an organization entrusted with young children. After what the school characterized as multiple concerns and an incident involving a parent, there was no request to meet with us, no meaningful investigation, and not even an attempt to speak with both parents before a decision was made. Instead, we received an unannounced phone call in the middle of a working day, followed by a decision that had apparently already been reached. Christie never sought my perspective at all. The willingness of a senior leader to make consequential decisions first and establish the facts second told us everything we needed to know about the judgment and professionalism of this organization. We were also never given a satisfactory explanation for how the school identified one particular parent as being involved in a parking-lot incident. Given that our daughter is biracial, I found the certainty of that identification, without any explanation of how it was made, deeply troubling. The broader culture was equally disappointing. Beach Babies struck us as an unfortunate caricature of certain LA private-school environments: cliquey, enamored with its own exclusivity, and seemingly convinced that a waiting list excuses arrogance. Scarcity may create demand, but it does not create competence. There are many excellent childcare providers in Los Angeles. Parents should not confuse a waiting list with a well-run institution. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO BEACH BABIES' PUBLIC REPLY: Their response reinforces my review more effectively than I could. First, I have no idea who "Denise" is. Second, notice what their lengthy response does not dispute: they never contacted both parents, never requested a meeting, and never gave our family an opportunity to hear and respond to these supposedly extensive allegations before terminating our child's enrollment. Ashley Accosta called one parent, unannounced, during the workday. The call described a parent reporting a parking-lot incident. This new public narrative of "three separate incidents," "several families," and multiple independent witnesses was not the account presented to us during that call. Apparently Yelp reviewers receive a more thorough explanation than the parents whose child's enrollment is being terminated. If management genuinely had multiple serious reports concerning a parent and child, that makes its failure to conduct a professional meeting with both parents more troubling, not less. Make the decision first, establish the record afterward is precisely the leadership failure my original review describes. Their response also avoids the identification question. They now say another parent identified a family that had just joined the school and declare racial bias "unequivocally false." That is a denial, not an explanation. How did this parent know who our child and her parent were? Beach Babies still does not say. Since Beach Babies has chosen to litigate allegations about our family publicly, prospective parents should examine its public record as well. California Community Care Licensing investigated a 2024 complaint alleging that a child sustained unexplained injuries due to lack of care or supervision. The allegation was ultimately unsubstantiated, and I make no claim otherwise. Another Yelp reviewer separately alleges her child came home bruised and that she witnessed rough handling by a teacher. That is her allegation, not mine. Finally, Beach Babies says it acted to protect children. Yet apparently there was no need to consider the impact of abruptly removing ours from her teachers, classmates, and routine without so much as a meeting with both parents. Perhaps a "waiting list" makes that commercially easy. It does not make it child-centered. Children are not interchangeable enrollment slots. A waiting list demonstrates demand. It does not demonstrate competence, judgment, or professionalism. Parents considering Beach Babies should understand the difference.

We love Michelle--she is hands down one of the most loving, attentive, and nurturing teachers we've ever met. From day one, she treated our son like her own, always on the floor with the kids playing, reading books, doing puzzles, or simply letting him sit in her lap. It meant everything to know he was so genuinely cared for during such an important stage of his life. Kristin runs an incredibly well-organized program and is an excellent communicator. We always knew our son's schedule, and we really appreciated how thoughtfully it was adjusted as he grew throughout his first year. The consistency, flexibility, and attention to detail made us feel completely at ease as parents. We also loved how much time the kids spent outdoors--daily fresh air, play, and exploration were clearly a priority and something our son thrived with. On top of that, the arts and crafts projects are amazing--creative, developmentally appropriate, and such sweet keepsakes. We are so grateful for this school and the incredible teachers who make it feel like a second home.

Over the past 2 and half years, we have seen significant growth in her emotional and mental well being. We do not have any close family near by so initially she had a hard time warming up to the teachers/support she did not see on a normal basis. The teachers, directors and the Montessori approach made it easier for her to become the little confident person she is today in which I thank them for their care and support. Additional Notes: The school itself is located on PCH so it is a busy during rush hour. There are times that getting in and out of the school can be troublesome. However, the school itself feels secure and I didn't worry too much about her safety as there are a lot of gates. Since we have been there for a while, we have seen a few changes in staff and was questionable at times. However, the current director does her best to manage the changes and notifies the parents as soon as possible. The director and teachers are very caring and do their best to accommodate the changes as well. The school uses an app for communication about your child and it is very convenient as they update throughout the day such as meals and if they took a nap, etc. It made me feel less anxious. I do feel that they are aligning well with the academics while fully embracing the Montessori guidance. My daughter does well with independent play and loves to learn. She shows an interest in many subjects. Thank you PCMA for the good memories and we will miss you guys!

He is high-functioning but has difficulty communicating and expressing his needs verbally. He has also just turned 2, so he still had a lot of growth to do. I was asked whether I would be able to provide support or assistance for him while he attended. I am a working mom, they wanted me to be at the school with him which I cannot because how would I be able to afford the tuition without working. I was then told that I would receive a call back, but no one ever followed up with me after I was told on the phone I would need to assist him in the school. Although, my child has autism he is very capable. I think the word taunted the director creating a bias before even actually working with my child. The experience left me feeling that the school is not inclusive. I would recommend looking elsewhere if your child is neurodivergent or has any type of learning disability in any way.
