Dr. Parli is good at dentistry. But, he also is the owner of his practice, and he is responsible for staff members who make his office a hostile environment. My experience at this practice was highly uncomfortable, with very little attempt on the doctor's part to rectify. In short, I was treated in a manner I believed warranted a negative online review. In retaliation for this complaint, I was denied the information I needed to submit my insurance claim (I had paid up front and then was seeking reimbursement). When I tried to speak with Dr. Parli about this issue, he demanded I leave the office and never come back, and seems intent on keeping the money I prepaid (I have two cleanings owed to me). His dental work is great, I won't deny that, but it does not matter how good his work is if this is how he treats patients. read more

UPDATE: While I did say that it would make more sense to simply respond to the bad review on Facebook rather than to withold my dad's insurance information, I was not exactly expecting for the office manager to get on line and accuse my dad of "sitting at home on tax payers money" WOW! ---- My father and I are recent patients at Beach Dental. We have both become increasingly uncomfortable with the front office's communication style and overall handling of concerns. At one point, I explicitly communicated that the cadence and manner in which I was being spoken to was increasing my dental anxiety and making it progressively harder for me to attend appointments. Rather than understanding or professionalism, I was met with dismissal and rudeness from the office manager. More recently, my father had his own horrible experience involving billing and insurance coding issues. During that situation, he was also spoken to disrespectfully by the office manager, who withheld insurance-related information after a negative Facebook review was posted. There is considerably more to this situation, including audio recordings and additional context, but because the matter is still active, I am choosing to exercise restraint in what I publicly disclose at this time. I do want to be fair and acknowledge that the dentists and hygienists at the practice have consistently been excellent. The practice itself also clearly makes an effort to create a calming, comfortable environment for patients through warm pillows, eye masks, and relaxing music, which I appreciated as someone with dental anxiety. Under most circumstances, this would outweigh a problematic office manager, but in this case, the level of disrespect and, quite frankly, unwillingness to do her job makes the practice impossible to continue with comfort. read more

spouse came for appt and was told they don't take our insurance, but they'd "submit a claim as a courtesy" and made us pay 365.00 out of pocket (to tell him they couldn't help him). Turns out our insurance DID cover most of the cost. so he received our 365 plus the insurance contracted rate. over 6 phone calls to dentist as our insurance sent proof that the claim was paid. Office worker Darren? Derrick? can't remember, says we need to take it up with insurance. I would 100% steer clear of this office. Probably preys on people not taking the time to review their coverage. I'm putting this review wherever anyone can see it in hopes they don't make the same (expensive) mistake we did. read more

The receptionist that served me on April 13. 2026 was courteous and competent however she definitely displayed an unwillingness to give just a little extra of herself that would have made it significantly much easier and less confusing for me to submit a dental insurance claim. I had the most incredible experience today with Dr. Parli and Stephanie his chair side assistant They were laser focused from the moment I walked in on my comfort and did everything in their power to relieve my anxiety I had a root canal and it was the most painless experience that I have ever had Dr. Parli was extremely professional kind and patient he explained everything to me and was extremely skilled Stephanie his chair side assistant was laser focused on my comfort and anticipated everything in assisting to make this a wonderful painless experience from beginning to end I would highly recommend this practice and I've been to Manny so I speak from experience if I could give it 100 stars I would!!!! read more

I have seen the same Washington D.C. dentist for over 17 years, but he retired and I moved to Westhampton for summers. Possibly the worst dentist on Long Island, extremely low skill level, inability to concentrate as a dentist, terrible work, does not care at all in the slightest about the patients, just cares about profit, prices are ludicrously high, they lied over the phone about how much a procedure would cost, it wound up costing more than twice the amount that they quoted. They lied about other things at as well, multiple times. Avoid this dentist like the bubonic plague! Smack yourself in the back of the head as hard as you can before you walk into this place, you'll have less of a headache then if you go in there. Don't let their lavender pillows and iPads fool you, it's a trap, and they don't offer it anyway. I don't know how they wound up with positive reviews from Dan's papers, they probably paid people to write in, no one in their right mind would give that place a positive review. I'm sure as providers they are good but over a year later I'm still waiting for my 2 day pay of 320.00. That by the way they also reported to social security. I emailed the office manager Julia and yet no response. They had a no gossip rule in the office which I thought was GREAT yet they all talked shit about eachother behind each others back. Poor DDS are fooled by the stuff going on if they did out some staff they can have a million times more successful practice. I was having difficulties making it through a session at a dentist, I didn't like the pain. I eventually started doing general anesthesia just to get through a cleaning. Then I tried beach dental. Their expertise combined with an attentiveness to how I was feeling made it possible for me to get dental procedures done with just sweet air and numbing. It's saved me a load of money not having to get GA anymore. Plus the staff are all awesome people... I'm embarrassed to admit it but now on some level I actually look forward to going to the dentist :) read more

I love my new smile!! What was I thinking, not smiling for pictures all those years. I moved here and just went to get my teeth cleaned. (My friend recommended Dr. Parli) Lisa was cleaning my teeth and took photos and I saw that I needed to make a change. Everyone was so nice and now I have beautiful new teeth. I wanted to have my teeth whitened and my friend had his teeth done here so I went too. Since I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in a couple of years (oops) they suggested I get them cleaned first. Best cleaning ever! Their hygenist was terrific, really nice and she did a great job and then my bleaching went great too. My teeth are so white. The doctor did it herself and they came out great. read more
