Dr. Elizabeth is fantastic. After I ran the 10k and a few more post 10k runs, my back said "what the hell is this?" And sort of gave up. So, I went to my old time famous Chiro down here and was in and out without any real plan of what's is wrong or how it's going to get better. I've had enough of that and decided it was time to move on. So, thanks to my fellow yelpers I found Elizabeth. She has a small office on Sepulveda and the coolest machine ever. It's a must see to believe. But, the best part is she actually listens and is concerned. And for runners it's great because she's a runner and works with the LA Marathon. Dr Manley seemed like a nice person, but my experience with her was truly very disappointing. In summary, I had a migraine and she said she could help. Dr Manley said she wouldn't accept insurance but she would provide me with a "superbill" (itemized details of the rendered services) that I could submit to my insurance company. I had 3 appointments and she said it would be easier for her to give me the superbill after the last appointment, instead of after each appointment ... I said, "okay". When I paid for my last appointment (we have to pay at the time the services are rendered), I followed up with her regarding the superbill, and she said she would send it to me next week. It was the end of the next week and I hadn't heard back, so I followed up with her again. She replied the next business day stating she'd send the superbill "tomorrow". Two days later, I received it and I submitted it to my insurance company. My insurance replied to say that Dr Manley combined 3 procedures under one price, so the Dr just needed to separate the 3 prices accordingly. I called Dr Manley and left a message requesting the revised information, but never heard back from her. A month or so later, I called again and left another message requesting the information (left my name and number as usual). It's been about two and a half months since my last appointment, but still no reply from the Dr. I had to pay the Dr at the time of each appointment. Since I have not received the accurate information from Dr Manley, I have not been able to submit a request for reimbursement from my insurance company (for all of the money I already had to pay the Dr). Very disappointing experience. read more

I have been seeing a chiropractor on and off for lower lumbar issues for the past 20 years, and she is my favorite. She listens to you before rushing to a rote diagnosis, and she will never adjust you if you don't want her to, unlike some big chain chiropractic/physical therapy/massage joints in South Bay I have had the misfortune of visiting. She has a variety of minimally invasive tools at her disposal that actually produce concrete results, and if you listen to her advice on activity/icing/stretching etc, you will absolutely feel better. Her office is small and no-frills, but it's conveniently located and she will always try to get you in if she can, even on short notice. This pint-sized chiro packs a punch! I was in serious pain after doing a couple longs runs and then cleaning the floors in my house. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Elizabeth. I was in a serious car accident a few days ago and experienced whiplash and she was able to alleviate 90% of the pain in one visit. Originally, I had scheduled an appointment with a different chiropractor and canceled that appointment upon reading numerous reviews about him pressuring people to commit to seeing him 3x a week and only conducting x-rays on the first visit and making the injured patient return for another visit prior to receiving treatment. Simply put, Dr. Elizabeth is amazing at what she does! Being a former gymnast and current snowboarder, I've had more falls than I can count. I ignored most of my injuries and hoped they would go away on their own (don't do that!!). A while back, I had a really bad fall and my lower back was just KILLING me. A friend referred Dr. Elizabeth so I finally gave it a shot. She was incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel completely comfortable. Dr. Elizabeth is ABSOLUTELY amazing! I have never been much of a runner...I pretty much never liked it. But at the beginning of 2013 I ran my first Spartan race. That year I only ran 3, in order to earn my Trifecta. Then 2014 came. As the year progressed, I had joined Dog Haus run club and was running every week, and adding more and more Spartan races to my schedule. If you do not know, a Spartan is like running a ~5k, ~15k or 1/2 marathon, but with obstacles and mud and fun! As such, they can reek havoc on the human body...especially if you get to the point where you are running anywhere from 1-4 a weekend, for 5-30 miles a weekend (I have ran 40 already this year!). By the time I met Elizabeth at Dog Haus, I was in pretty bad shape. I was no longer participating in events to compete, but merely to finish, with injury after injury. I wanted to reach my goal of breaking the trifecta record, and even though my injuries kept me from actually competing, I didn't want to give up on my goal! The first time I saw Elizabeth, I had just finished the Rock N Roll Denver 1/2 marathon, and had SEVERE IT band pain. Within only TWO visits, the pain was gone! We are still working on it being tight (since I haven't stopped running and given it a break), but I feel amazing! I have also been suffering from a pinched neck for several months. As it turns out, I had a knot in my shoulder about the size of a golf ball! In addition to my Spartan hobby, I am a software engineer who sits at a desk all day, so this hasn't helped my posture or my shoulder. The pain this knot caused me, especially the first couple of therapy sessions, was excruciating! That being said, I am SO pleased that after only 4 sessions with Elizabeth, the pain is pretty much nearly gone! I can actually sit at my desk with good posture, and get my shoulder to stop spasming and relax! It is amazing. More-so than all of this, I have NEVER been one who's mid back will adjust for ANY chiropractor. It is very tight, and always causes issues - and is usually painful for me when they try to adjust it. While Elizabeth may be petite and small, her chiropractic power and expertise is not! She was able to adjust me and relieve tension I haven't had relieved in ages! So basically, she is pretty much amazing! Whether you sit at a desk for far too long, like myself, and have posture and alignment issues...or are a runner or athlete that takes too much out on their body on a regular basis, Elizabeth can fix you!
