The man who did my birthday nails did not follow the inspo pic at all and did not fully remove the nail polish I had previously so there's blue surrounding the nails. In addition, the acrylic spilled onto my skin which caused my pinky to swell. He used a dotting tool to create dots on my tips and still managed to mess them up. I go here every 3 weeks for a gel pedicure. Been going for years. Had a couple issues but overall good service. Last time I was there, a lady name Coco didn't use any oil on my feet and forgot to do the oil with the hot towel until I said something. Today, she didn't put a base coat. She was about to just put the polish on. I said, what about the base coat? Another worker has to tell her what to do. She got an attitude and started being rough with my feet. She drenched my legs in oil, then proceeded to take it off with the towel and then said "all done" I said "that's it?" Im very disappointed. I stopped in for a last minute gel manicure, I had to soak off some old acrylic nails and they wonderfully suggested that I get a pedicure while I was soaking my nails. It was worth the extra $25 because I didn't have to sit there with nothing to do. Overall I enjoyed the women that worked on my nails and even had a couple laughs with them. While I was there I noticed a lot of regulars! That's a sign of a good nail salon! BEWARE! First I would like to say that I have been a really good customer to the salon for several years and have never had a problem. However I was there recently for a "spa" pedicure and have been in agony ever since! Not only did I receive an injury to my heel from the callus remover, but my big toe has been bleeding and sore for several days from the cuticle cutter! I am so pissed! I went for a spa pedicure on July 1, 2019 and I was overall disappointed. I usually try not to go here because the service has been sub-par, but it was on my way home from work. I also desperately needed my nails clipped and shaped. The woman who did my pedicure (who wasn't wearing a name tag so I can't even tell you who she is) was focusing more on chatting than the task at hand. Needless to say, while clipping the cuticle on my left big toe, she went to far and nicked me. This has been the second time with a different technician that has done this there. Either there needs to be some type of remediation or maybe late day pedicures shouldn't happen. After this, I will not frequent this salon again. I've been coming here since High School but since branching out to othere salons, I have come to realize how crappy this place is. The owner must be too worried about making a quick buck off of customers to bother to have the place decently cleaned, to buy new polish or new equpiment; let alone hire people who have any skills whatsoever. If there is a wait, I do not even bother to stick around. I'm not going to sit here for 20 minutes while I watch 3 techs sit there and slurp noodles, while I wait. Cool. Or better yet, let me try and pick out a color from 150 bottles on the wall, while half of them are dried up or are too tacky to even use. I get fills and when I was coming here, they would last maybe two weeks if I was lucky. On average I would feel them lefting or they chip after about 8-10 days. Wtf am I paying 25$ for twice a month?! I've found two other salons that I can go for THREE friggin weeks without having to come in for a fill. That's quality work yo! And I'm sick of them telling me that my nail color is boring, or that if I don't get some lame-ass airbrushing on my nails its 'tuuuu oleee Ladiiii!' I'm not asking you for your opinion "KIM" and too damn bad if you can't jerk me out of 5 more dollars since I refuse to get an goddamn depiction of a palm tree on my middle finger! The place is not exactly clean and the workers can be rather rude (although some are sweet and try and have conversations with you...not trying to generalize everyone in the rude category.) Some are awful at the fills and I leave with gel all over my fingers or my nails are all different lengths, and I get stuck with one ShaNayNay long nail. Not cool. After going to BEACH NAILS SPA for over 10 tears, my nail tech, CINDY, left. She used silk wraps on my nails, since I became allergic to acrylics after many years. I was told by the owner, TRACY, that I should try acrylics again...she assured me the powder was different...it was NOT! I developed the exact same reaction that I had before switching to silk wraps. My cuticles became inflamed/infected and painful. I was told to soak my fingers in an orange peel immersed in water...complete CRAP!!. When I switched to another salon and soaked off the acrylics, I had FUNGAL infections on 2 fingers!! I will NEVER go back there, again. I am truly upset with this salon, first I have been going here for a while. This is a hit or miss, each employee is very different some can be very rude, some kind and talkative and like to make sure you approve of the shape, color etc. some won't even talk to you - from beginning to end. But i'd like to talk about my past few experiences here as a warning. - My last set, the site says they close at 8 and I came in at 7 I asked for a full new set of acrylic with gel which is normally between $35-$40 depending on shape, size and regular or gel polish. I just picked a simple red gel. They said they were closing but the guy said he'd take care of me. He seemed to rush and try to get done as fast as possible, he cut me a multitude of times and my nails weren't even the same length ! I told him and he ignored it. I was very unsatisfied, not to mention the longer you go they charge you $5 more EVERY TIME you ask to make a little longer. They never did that. The polish job was fine but it was barely a manicure, I got no lotion, hand massage, hot towel or cuticle cutting but I did however get very poor filing. I left with with acrylic dust still on my nails and underneath. - This set, I needed a fill because I have somewhere to go this week and I needed a fill. Firstly, the lady was very rude to me, she didn't talk to me. I asked her to change the shape and she told me it would be $5 extra, then usually to fix a nail would be $3 per nail; they upped it to $5 and the gel is also $5 extra. when I paid, the woman told the receptionist to charge me $5 extra because she said and I quote: " Because she just had to have coffin" which I found to be insanely rude! She cut me with the drill soo many times, the majority of my nails are crooked, there's air bubbles in the polish, and I still have polish on from my previous set. I got one nail fixed and there is glue on my finger from the application. She wanted to charge me $5 extra if I kept the length that I had before which is so stupid. - All of the receptionists are rude! especially the boy. There are signs that say you can't provide a tip with card. Sometimes they'll let you sometimes they won't. - I got waxed here a few times and the wax was way too hot and they pulled the strip off extremely aggressively and didn't apply anything afterwards or asked me if I liked them. - Some of the employees are very rough with your fingers when grabbing or turning your finger. - I didn't even see her clean her tools, just threw them back the draw or basket, GROSS ! I will not be returning as a patron because they make commentary when I want my nails longer, they are rude and very unfriendly. The manicures or pedicures or waxing are not worth it!! The woman who did my eyebrows walked out as soon as she finished without me looking at them. I went out to find her and explained one eyebrow was wider than the other and one end was thinner than the other and you can't see in the picture but they also looked unkept at the top. DO NOT GO HERE. I'm in between finding a nail salon that I trust, and let me tell you I will NOT be going back to this place. I had a horrible experience. The environment was unwelcoming, the employees were disrespectful and obviously talking about me while I was sitting right in front of them. I went to get my gel set taken off and requested a new set, just acrylic tips and gel polish. The woman butchered my nails so bad PULLING off my set instead of soaking them off. She cut my one finger so bad it was terribly painful and it wouldn't stop bleeding. After putting on my tips, I asked for stiletto shape. She was totally unaware of what that shape was until I finally showed her pictures because the shape she was filing looked so terrible. All my nails ended up different lengths as well. When she asked what color I wanted on my nails, I chose the color and showed her a simple flame design to put on the ring fingers. She immediately said "no design" and brought one of the male employees over to tell me she doesn't know how to do designs. First and last time coming to this salon. I had requested a gel powder manicure and I left with blotchy, smudged nails, as well as polish on the skin surrounding my nails. It was sloppily done, and when I addressed my concerns, the manicurist said, "this is how all gel powder is." Of course, that is completely untrue. At the cost of $40 I was left with nails that looked as if they were painted by a child. I asked to speak to the owner and I was told that she was not there and for me to leave my number so that she can call me. Still waiting.... Kenny does an amazing job as always and the whole shop is now newly renovated and they are taking great precautions in keeping clients safe and healthy. I very disappointed with the service I received. First when I told the technician what I wanted he told me I was asking for too much. Then he filed my nail coffin style that was over filed and leaning instead of being even. When I complained I was told that it was the shape of my finger. I've had my nails done many of times with acrylics, UV gel, dip powder, gel polish and never have I ever had my nails file so bad and the insult to say that it's the shape of my finger. My daughter had mew set of acrylics and within 1 week they started to pop off. The said thing about it. This place is so expensive and this is the quality you receive. Went today for an impromptu manicure. Picked out a really nice color and sadly the color wasn't cooperating. The nail technician was very apologetic and found a very close color to the one I chose. She did a fantastic job on my nails and still at the very end apologized for the issue with the color I chose. Honestly, if you get your nails done enough you know sometimes this can happen with some polish. As this was completely out of her control, I told her not to worry and thanked her for being so accommodating finding a color that closely matched what I wanted. Unfortunately I didn't listen to the reviews. A friend told me it was worthwhile. Not. I'm disappointed because my technician, "Joy" rushed through my mani pedi and it was sloppy. She put me to dry and never even turned on the fans so as I'm looking for the switch, I bumped a wet nail, then she got upset when the receptionist made her come back to fix it...she brushed a few strokes and ran off again without applying a top coat. One of the guys there saw my frustration and came and tried to make it better (unfortunately I don't think he's a technician). He apologized and said they were understaffed. It's a factory for sure. This review is for the Peekskill location of Beach Nails, although there is a second location in the Cortlandt Town Center further down on Route 6. It's also one of the few salons in the area where my parents live, the sleepy town of Cortlandt Manor. The Peekskill location is slightly bigger and seems to be busier. Speaking of busy, I feel like I always have to wait a good 10 minutes before being helped. It doesn't matter if it's a manicure, eyebrow waxing, massage, whatever. I'm also underwhelmed by the selection of salon-quality nail polish colors available - they have fewer than 10 OPI shades, only a few Essie colors, and lots of brands I've never heard of. The manicures chip pretty quickly, so I'm thinking it's the quality of the polish. Anyhow, the color selection isn't fantastic either. In the winter, I prefer dark colors and all I saw were a lot of colors more suitable for French manicures. Another small detail (which I am very picky about) are the hot towels they use to remove the lotion from your hands. On more than one occasion, I've had towels with tears, rips, and/or stains. Not pleasant from an experience standpoint. I've also had waxing performed at Beach Nails. This is what really threw the nail in the coffin regarding my rating. General observations: One, they double-dip the wax - meaning, they will use the same wooden stick twice in the urn of wax. Gross when you think of it from a sanitary standpoint. Also, I've never seen anyone so frugal with the muslin cloth used to remove the wax (seriously, how expensive can that stuff be?!). The women who perform the waxing will literally use every square millimeter on both sides of the fabric before discarding it. They also tend to get wax-happy with your eyebrows, and I've had them come way too thin for my liking. Now, for my specific story: I usually have my upper lip and chin/neck area waxed. For whatever reason, the cloth didn't pull cleanly from my neck when attempting to remove the wax. First of all, it HURT. The area was red and swollen. The slightly more embarrassing (and infuriating) part of the ordeal was that she bruised my neck and I had what looked like hickeys covering my entire neck. No amount of concealer could cover those babies up. At the time, I worked at an upscale SoHo store, so nevermind the strange looks I got for days to come (or trying to explain to my at-the-time boyfriend where the damage came from). Moral of the story: Go elsewhere! read more

I used to come here every couple of weeks or so if I couldn't sneak away at work to get a mani and eyebrow wax. While I don't expect my mani to last a full week without some dings and nicks, but I do expect it to last at least 48 hours still looking fresh. Not here it won't. They have two large shelves filled with nail polish, but most of them are brand less, tacky or dried out. They have a couple OPI and Essie colors, but you'd be better off bringing your own. The salon is outdated and not the cleanest either. Do yourself a favor and head about 5 minutes up route 6 to Posh Nails in Mohegan Lake. It's in the shopping center next to I-Hop. Manicure is $10, but tools are sterile (in their own packages) and everything is brand new. Staff is great as well and they have only OPI and Essie polishes. read more

This place is just so-so. I've been a couple of times, the first for a gel mani and I hated it. I got blank and it was super streaky and it all peeled & lifted within 3 days. I went today and had a regular mani/pedi and again was not impressed. The pedi was "fine" ended with lots of polish all around my toe nails that I'll have to clean up with a q-tip myself. As for my mani it was "fine" I guess. I didn't get any polish on my nails but the filing and cuticle clean up was satisfactory. I did however feel REALLY rushed and the woman did not say 1 word to me despite my efforts to be friendly. Last thing that really turned me off...I went to pay and the woman told me $35.00 I immediately pointed to the paper sign that is taped to the reception desk that says "regular mani/pedi $30.00 Thursday-Sunday" her reply was "oops sorry yes $30.00." I mean maybe it was an honest mistake or was she hoping I wouldn't notice?? I'd go to this place for a quick mani/pedi "clean up" but not if I wanted things done for an occasion or something that will last. read more
