Never again will I prepay for any specials/promos! Once they take your money, it's OVER! NEVER any customers when we were there. Didn't see any scheduled appts in her schedule book either. These 5 star reviews seem to be written by the staff here. There's an English Bulldog in the office. I'm a HUGE animal lover. Before I came, I bought him 10 AUTHENTIC BEEF RIB BONES. Very expensive! I washed them very clean about 10 times, wrapped them carefully & kept them overnight in the fridge for freshness. Last time, I asked Kern if I can bring him bones and she said I can bring him "ANYTHING." He was even playing with a BONE last time we were there! So I brought the bones for the dog and Kern did not even look at them, just flicked her hand & condescendingly said "NO NO! Don't give them to him. He's ALLERGIC." Told me to throw them away! She did NOT even say a simple thank you after how thoughtful I have been. I told her I was happy to bring bones for her dog and traveled a LONG way, transferred 2 times on subway while holding the bag of heavy 10 BIG BONES just for her dog. I was surprised but calmly said, why don't you say thank you? Why tell me a different story because you never said he was allergic before. I was just being thoughtful... Suddenly, she started frowning at me condescendingly, rudely told me that I NEEDED BOTOX in between my eyes! I said I'm old and I do not have much wrinkle in between my eyes and I don't want botox. I called the front desk woman beforehand a few times last month and also this week and each time, she told me that there is a promo for new patients for 2 vials of Kybella with 1 FREE TOUCH UP 6 weeks later. That is ALL SHE SAID so when my daughter and I mentioned this to Kern when we saw her, she said there was NO such promotion and SCREAMED AT US! She also got in my DAUGHTER'S face up close as if she was about to HIT her, face red, eyes huge, & told her to SHUT UP! I was EXTREMELY shocked! Even animal mothers attack those who attack their babies. I was RIGHT THERE with my daughter in the same room but she dares SCREAMS at her to "SHUT UP?!" This is sign of a psychotic woman. How dare she yell at my baby? She even told ME to shut up several times! She ABUSED us. I said I want my money back and she said she WILL NOT give me my money back. In my HONEST OPINION, she acts like a psychotic nutcase. If you see her, you will notice that she does NOT look like she is in her right mind. Also, the dog barks SO loudly NONSTOP! She does not even put him away & lets him stay in the EXAM ROOM when we're there. That place is run amok! Extremely unprofessional, unsanitary to say the least. It is illegal to keep animals running around like this freely in a doctor's office with patient's around. The dog scratched my daughter & me a couple times, ripped my daughter's pants, but we didn't say anything. They need to be INVESTIGATED. I don't think Kern even has her doctor's license. She is a fraud. She does not know how to say 'thank you,' 'you're welcome,' 'please,'. This woman is ill-mannered and has NO class. I was very happy to bring the bones for the dog. No idea it would turn out like this. Now I cannot trust medspas anymore. It is so sad that some people like Kern cannot truly understand and appreciate people's good hearts & intentions. They are greedy & only care about money. SO dry, cold at heart. Now I understand why some people prefer animals over humans. The owner is WORSE than her dog. Honest opinion, she needs to shut down her office and get treatment for her mental problems. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Be careful of her! If you do happen to see her, write down EVERYTHING she says or record what she says because she WILL tell you a different story.

Before the appointment, she reached out to learn more about my skin concerns and current regimen. I told her my biggest skin issues were large pores, sagging skin and a dull complexion. At the appointment, she started the with dermaplaning, which removes peach fuzzes and dead skin cells. My skin instantly felt softer and more breathable. She then did a mint and papaya enzyme peel. The enzyme tingled a little but nothing unbearable and felt really refreshing and nourishing afterwards. She then removed the black heads. But first she applied a partial facial mask to loosen up the sebum in my pores and as a result there's very little pinching and squeezing to remove the blackheads unlike my previous experience with facials. I really loved how painless that was and the results are just as great! Meanwhile, she massaged my shoulders and neck and applied a décolleté peel off mask. she ended the session with a detoxifying charcoal mask. After the 90 minutes treatment, my skin looked taut and bright. The day after (today), my pores are visibly smaller, skin feels even firmer than right after the facial, and my complexion brighter with a healthy glow. Even my husband commented on how much softer my skin feels. Below is the before and after (day after) pictures I took. Even as a makeup artist, I'm not used to thinking a facial can make such a difference, but after my visit with La'Shawn, I'm a believer. Last time I got nails I got acrylics with a very nice simple design. Apparently salons don't do acrylics now? I walked in and showed that design and was recommended some type of gel tip manicure, I asked how long it will last, I was told two weeks and I would have to come back to get them filled. Acrylics last 5-6 weeks. She then told me for what I wanted would be $100+ and that was only for a manicure. I was hesitant, they asked me to wait and I thought about leaving, but I overheard another person ask for a manicure and pedicure and was quoted $50. So I asked the man who was running around and the lady who first quoted me intervened. I asked how long a regular gel manicure would last and was told two weeks also. Why would I pay 3 times the amount when it will last the same amount of time. I felt like she was trying to just take my money instead of explaining my options. I was taken to get a pedicure and manicure by one of the nail ladies who was very pleasant and further explained my manicure options so I understood. However, I was very turned off from this place because they do not clean their tools. They used the cuticle cutters, wiped it off quickly on a towel and put it back in the holder without properly cleaning. Ickkk. I felt my session was being rushed by the man who kept walking around and checking in on each of the salon ladies. Like he was timing them. My design came out very messy for a simple design, I could have had a small child do it, and I feel it was the added pressure of the lady being rushed by the manager. After the most basic pedicure and a questionable manicure, it was still almost $100. I saw a few bad reviews, but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. I would not recommend this spot. I would rather drive an hour to the salon closer to my mother's house and get it done properly and know the tools will be clean.

I looked great after my first treatment, or, ' you won't see results until after the third treatment'. You told me both. Neither happened.
