Ocean view room

Perfect stay ! Right on the beach with pool . Our ground level ocean view room was just right for us . We enjoyed sitting out on the grass in the evening . No frills but you can't beat the view & access to the beach . Will defiantly be back when I want to get away for a few days . Surf restaurant across the street was great . All the staff was very friendly . See ya soon

What a great spot! Directly on the beach. What makes this motel special is the incredible customer service. I arrived early and as I expected the room was not available yet. The owner walked me to the room and let me know it would be about 45 minutes. We decided to walk the beach and I received a call in less than 30 minutes that we could come and check in. They had two birthday cupcakes for us in the room (yummy)! They gave great suggestions for dinner! We will definitely return! Great value and great service!

Nice small family run motel on the beach. Good prices for the area @90/night. The place has the basics for a stay but nothing fancy. Dog friendly BTW for an extra charge. Bring some ear plugs because it is loud from tragic going by, garbage truck dumpster early morning pickup and the wind off the beach. There is also nothing else her regarding a gym but they have coffee at 8am with some danishes if you want that. Overall a decent place to stay on the beach. BTW the signage is horrible to find in the dark so use GPS every time.

An inexpensive room on the beach? Heck yeah! This is a motel that seems to be family owned. The staff at the front desk were nice and accommodating. My uncle needed a room on the ground level, they made some changes and made it happen. We had a nice room with a partial view of the ocean and pool. The room had a nice kitchenette type area with a sink, microwave and mini fridge. We had ample pillows, bedding and towels were sparse. The room and bathroom was a bit run down, which made it look and feel dirty. The location and price were great, the room was not.

The room and bathroom were very spacious and the ceiling was high. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. A continental breakfast was provided every morning. Upstairs, there was an ice machine and Keurig coffee maker which I appreciated as I brought my own K-cups from home. Also, our room had a mini-fridge and freezer combo. This was a plus due to being a gluten-free person and having to bring my own breakfast food and coffee creamer. On Saturday night, a lady named, Shell, performed in The Principal's Office Bar. She was really good and even took requests. My husband and I would definitely stay here again. I do have a few suggestions. Everyday, 4 towels were placed in the bathroom, but only 2 washcloths. I asked twice for 2 more to be put in my room, but that didn't happen. One evening, a sweet bartender grabbed extra washcloths for us. Also, a hand-held sprayer would be nice to have in the shower as the soft water made it hard to remove soap from my body and shampoo and conditioner from my hair. Additionally, the steps on the side of the building near the ramp have metal strips placed on them, and they become very slippery when it rains. When we left one afternoon, it was raining. My husband slipped and fell down the steps. So, maybe a non-slip material could be added to the steps. Lastly, the pool was full of leaves the five days we stayed at the Inn. I never saw anyone do any maintenance to the pool. There were towels out on Saturday for pool use, but none of the other days. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the Inn to others.

Ornate, luxurious, top notch service, everything you'd expect from a Ritz property…read more Lobby bar - A beautiful living room for hanging out during the day. We arrived at the Ritz too late for dinner anywhere but the lobby bar. Enjoyed several sushi rolls with drinks, each one imaginative fresh and tasty. But some event had recently let out and the lobby bar got crowded and LOUD. I mean over 100db loud (measured). That's the equivalent of enjoying sushi while jackhammers are crushing concrete all around you. Whoa! Ocean front one bedroom suite - Plush, large, comfortable. Curtains blocked most light, but the bright morning sun still peeked in around the edges. Comfortable bed and plenty cold for good sleeping. Two huge TVs. While the only premium feed provided is Netflix, the cable box had been lowered behind the TV in the living room such that it was simple to plug in your own device. If this is by design, kudos to the Ritz. If this was accidental, we feel very fortunate. Awesome to have a second half bath, wish that was an option at more hotels. The main bath, very roomy, with a huge dressing area, was a little odd in that, while there was a door to the toilet, there was no door to the tub/shower. Not a big deal, as it was around a corner providing a little privacy, it's still a weak design decision. Huge balcony with ocean front views that go on forever. A few chairs and a table, but a bit under furnished. Still quite a treat for the view, breeze and privacy. Never even slightly tempted to leave the property during our stay. Over a 4 night stay, we visited nearly every bar and restaurant option, and never felt like we were having to "make do". Pool - the kiddie pool was closed for renovations, so children took over the main pool all day. If you're not a tolerant direct parent, you're not gonna get in that water, if you know what I mean. Overall the pool and chairs were pretty crowded, so almost worth the premium to have rented a cabana for 8-2 one day. Lots more room and comfort, both lounge chairs and couch seating, TV, snacks and drinks.

The light fixtures in bathroom and bedroom were very dull. The shower was terrible, no water pressure no hot water. Like warm showers for four days. The pillows were flat with no support. I came for a meeting. The food was mostly buffet style and like the shower was Luke warm and not hot. The hotel charges a resort fee but there is really no resort to take advantage of. One pool with a lot of kids. Drinks around the pool started at 20.00. I didn't see any going the extra mile. No little extras for the guests. I would not come back to this hotel again

We were extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled…read more My husband booked a two-night stay at Seaside Amelia Inn several months in advance. Unfortunately, we completely forgot about the reservation because we never received any confirmation email, reminder email, text message, or phone call before our arrival date. We only discovered the reservation when we received an invoice after the scheduled checkout date. When my husband called, we were told that the last digit of his phone number was missing in their system. He had provided the correct number when making the reservation, and we were told this "happens a lot." We never checked in, never entered the room, never used any hotel facilities, and never parked a vehicle on the property. Despite that, we were initially charged for the entire two-night stay, including parking fees for both days. The hotel eventually agreed to refund 50% of the charges, but we still ended up paying hundreds of dollars for a room we never occupied. What disappointed us most was the lack of communication before the reservation and the lack of flexibility afterward. A simple confirmation email or reminder could have prevented this entire situation. We're sharing our experience so future guests know to double-check their reservations and not assume the hotel will contact them before arrival. We also repeatedly emailed management in an attempt to resolve the matter but did not receive a response.
