Friends and I visited for a quick staycation and it was lovely! Everything is beautifully decorated and the owners, Charles and Rebecca, are so sweet and accommodating! The breakfast they made was incredible! We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Fernandina!

So far so good, Julie and David (the Owners) are very Welcoming, never been here before and the feeling walking was like coming home to friends and family. They opened their "HOME" to us and took care of us like we had been coming there for years....They treated us extra special before leaving for Orlando and trusted us again "LIKE FRIENDS AND FAMILY" The Breakfast was very good and of course you can not go wrong with Fernandina Area. Thank you for your Hospitality and we will see you again.

We even got there after their happy hour ended by a half hour, and without even asking, the front desk girl offered to get us a glass of wine, which we did do. And in contrast to another review, the red wine was good. Not top of the line, but definitely not gross. It was your average house wine from any upscale restaurant. The location was perfect for us. On the beach, easy access. They had beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels if needed. The views from their deck are stellar. They also had enough parking. Also, there is an elevator from the parking area, so getting luggage to room is easy. Here's the only issue I had. When you book on their website, it clearly states what's included in your stay with your room. A few things listed are: breakfast, beach chairs/umbrellas, towels. HOWEVER, when I went to checkout and pay online, there is an 'AMENITY' fee! They describe this as a fee for the beach chairs and towels, etc. Please don't tell me it's included with the rental of my room, and then charge me for it at checkout. It now becomes NOT INCLUDED and I am in fact paying for it extra! I was really going between the 3 star review & the 4. I do not appreciate being deceived. I had spent a lot of time looking at where we wanted to stay, so at that point, I just went through with it and paid. Also, the only other confusing thing, is that I thought they had provided bfast there. They do have coffee (really good coffee btw). They also had pastries at bfast that they get from a local bakery. My husband had an apple danish type thing and he really enjoyed it. But they offer us a $30 voucher to one of two places in town for bfast. We chose the garden cafe. It was good. But of course you spend more than the $30 for basic bfast, oj & coffee. Would I go back? Most likely yes. Would I recommend to family & friends? Yes

I have always wanted to stay here and I am glad we did. that weekend turned out to be a perfect weekend to stay there, weather was gorgeous! we stayed at Tradewinds suite and it was perfection. we have our door open the whole entire time except when we were sleeping but other than that the breeze was just flowing on our room. The service here is wonderful! Employees here are amazing and super friendly. we also enjoyed eating breakfast here. Also, the beach is just few steps away! that was one of the reason why I choose Elizabeth Lodge. Unfortunately, I am not able to say anything about the rooms on the main lodge since we did not stay there but booking the tradewinds is highly recommend.

Highly recommend if you're in the area and would definitely come back. Booking: Easy online booking. Had every room listed separately with their own photos, pricing and availability. Made is easy to pick the room you wanted. Only other thing that would have been good was to add maybe a blue print of the home with each room marked on it so you had a better visual to where your room was in regards to the main roads. Service: Pre-communication was great! Jamie contacted us via text to confirm the time of arrival and any food or allergy restrictions along with preferred breakfast time. Upon arriving, Todd greeted us and gave us the grand tour and answered any questions that we had. Happy hour was from 4 to 5 each day and we arrived right at four, so it was perfect timing to check in, drop off our things, and grab a free cocktail! Breakfast each morning was right on time and delicious. Recommendations for food and other surrounding activities was provided. Room: The bed and bedding was comfortable and all toiletries were provided. Size of the room was perfect. Our room overlooked the corner of the main street so traffic made it a little noisy so I would probably stay in a different room. Next time I come. However, earplugs were provided on your bedside table upon checking in. The only thing that could have made the room better is brighter lighting or some type of vanity for applying make up and doing your hair. The lighting in the bathroom was OK but not as well lit as you would need when getting ready for the day. Location: The location was ideal! We parked our car upon check-in, and did not get back in it until we left to go home. We walked everywhere. We couldn't have found a better location that was far enough from the busy part of Amelia Island, but close enough for everything to be in walking distance.

This location is close enough to home (Savannah) and far enough that I don't get bothered by the drive there and back. We pulled up on an extremely rainy Friday night in December, and the drive down the driveway was so lovely! I felt like Horse Stamp Inn was eagerly awaiting my arrival. December may be a dreary month to visit because of the cold and the rain, but it's lovely for all the holiday decor! Pam greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the home. We were the only couple staying that weekend so we were able to glance at all the rooms. They even have an elevator! We stayed in the Seabiscuit room, which is the most luxurious room they have to offer. You'll be presented with a bed made for a Queen, all the pillows you can imagine, a day bed, a large walk in closet, a jacuzzi spa and his and her shower (one shower, two shower heads) and sink. Plus you have access to the private balcony that overlooks the home's entrance, with a view of the horses Belle and Sarge in a distance. I'm telling you, you'll feel like a Queen. Downstairs they had a coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar, with lemonade and sweet tea set out too. Tim and Pam were lovely hosts that really made us feel welcomed and cared for. I'm not going to reveal what breakfast consisted of, nor did I take any pictures of that, so I'll leave it to the Innkeepers to surprise you with that. I don't want to ruin the breakfast part of your stay! I highly recommend this to any couple considering a getaway!

Because for some reason, it seems you can never stay overnight anywhere that offers a comfortable pillow. But other than that, I cannot say one bad thing about our stay. The breakfasts were wonderful! The staff were amazing and accommodating! The nights were peaceful and the home was cozy. I got up at 5:30 and only saw one person as I walked to the water to sit on the swing and take in the stillness. Things slowly started picking up as the fishermen started setting sail.
