This is the only vet I use for my dawgs. They are gentle and very professional. You always feel like family. They do remember your pet and take great care of them. I have 3 boston terriers, a ole English sheepdog and Dr Beall is the only vet. Have to love small town businesses. read more

My wife, Linda and I are huge animal lovers, when we have animals they aren't pets they are our daughter or son. Today we made a mistake taking Gypsy to a new vet, Beall Animal Clinic (https://www.facebook.com/BeallAnimalClinic/) in Leesville because they offered a wellness check at a really nice price. Our appointment at 3:30pm. I will kick myself in the head till I die that I didn't feel a warning and left before everything turned to crap. First Gypsy was very agitated in there and I think a dog had pooped in there earlier and it was unsettling her plus the trip there was about an hour. Or perhaps it's the unsanitary exam table that was freaking her out because her exam table still had the toenails and hair of a dog on it!! Whatever happened to sanitary exam rooms and separate rooms for dogs and cats????? So before they would do their exam they said they'd have to sedate her and then another shot to wake her. Like a fool I made the worse error I've ever made and signed an agreement to sedate Gypsy. Then a few minutes later after they had given the shot through her carrier(??) the nurse came out and said they gave her the shot and wait a few more minutes. Then a few minutes later she comes out and said something to the effect of well the shot must have missed her??? How the hell do you miss giving a shot to your patient?? Then a little later they came out and said "Oh now she's starting to nod out." So apparently they had no idea how long a sedative would take!! Then to top it off we say well now she's sedated you can give her an exam and her shots. They said sorry you'll have to come back tomorrow as we close at 5! Hello WTF you give her a sedative shot that you say you need to give her one to wake her up, then fluster us so much we don't know what's happening and then shuffle us out because it's closing time? Some dr & nurse you, so getting off work right on time is crucial over your patience....all I gotta say is it will be a cold day in hell before we come see you quacks again! Oh and if you should try to bill us for your quack-laced "exam" you will just further infuriate me and focus my mind on a lawyer while we care for Gypsy instead of waiting to see how she recovers I'll just go see them sooner with a definite plan!! You better hope Gypsy pulls through, cause if she doesn't all bets are off, that's my little girl!!! read more

In short they are a business before being a vet. The veterinarian is too busy to actually take time to speak to you, they give medication before testing to see if it's even needed, they have extra fees everywhere, they want to to agree to payment of services before being told what they will be, and are not punctual at all. I called and asked before scheduling if they had the 12 month heart worm injection before making an appointment. I was told they did and we scheduled an appointment a week later. When we arrived our appointment was at 0900 but were not seen until after 0900. I was also asked upfront to sign an agreement to pay for service rendered before even being told what that service would be. While she tried to say that it was for future service that is not how it reads. After being there for about 45 minutes I was told we would have to come back if I wanted the 12 month heart worm as they now did not have it. Giving the benefit of the doubt we came back two days later. This time we were taken to a room right away. We sat in the room for a while until they told me the actual veterinarian was too busy to come examine the dog in the room an needed to take her to the back. I was told to wait up front. They then brought her back and, more waiting. Later the technicians came in to giver her the normal medication your dog receives once a year. However, they gave her a de worming medication WITHOUT testing for worms. After I asked why you would give be a de worming medication before testing they then decided to test. She was negative as expected. At the end I did finally have the actual veterinarian doctor come into the room. This was to give her the heart worm. Its interesting to note they did wait for results of the heart worm test before giving but did not for de worming. Posted in the room were notices that while you have a legal right to go elsewhere for medication they would charge you to provide a prescription. While yes you should pay for the visit I've never seen a vet charge for just writing the prescription. I'd recommend if you can to find another vet but the issue is you don't have many options. The vet next to the base I could not find a single person that recommended going there. I did here and I was disappointed. To be clear the staff is friendly but even a car salesman sells you a car with a smile. I also they were upset with me pointing out these concerns but they concern me. Often business right outside of the military bases have a habit in engaging in these type of practices because they know they can get away with it. I would not recommend this being your regular veterinarian. If you can it might be worth the hour travel time to find a vet in a bigger city or even a rule vet that's more vet focused than profit focused. read more

I had taken my Great Dane to get his ears cropped and it was amazed with the experience we had. They were so nice and informative so we made them his regular vet and me and Hoss both get so excited to go to the vet. Everyone comes out to greet him him and tells me how good of a boy he is, and in return he smothers them with love and kisses. Dr. Beall and his staff work hard to meet everyone's needs. During my most recent visit, Dr. Beall saw my dog and took enough time to trim his toenails himself. I've never had the actual veterinarian do that for him. I must say it was an excellent trimming job too! I also learned that his office is also available on Saturday's by appointment. I'm glad to know this as I didn't before. I highly recommend this veterinarian as he genuinely cares for animals and meeting clients needs. read more

This clinic is great about treating your pets like family. I have brought 2 dogs and a rat to see Dr Beall and he does an amazing job every time. He has treated a broken leg, parvo, tumor removal, heartworm treatment and even helped us in getting our elderly dog cremated after he passed. He treats his patients like he cares about them as much as you do. His staff also truly act like they care about your pet. They are polite, easy to work with and I can't recommend this office enough. read more

My little.Scnauzer was attacked on Christmas Eve, the vet , Larry Beall dropped what he was doing on Christmas Eve mind you and met me at his clinic. He cleaned my dogs wounds and stitched her up, gave me meds and saved my dogs life. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Dr. Beall is the friendliest and most inviting vet in the area. I have been here so many times over the years that I have been in Vernon parish. His staff are always friendly, but stay on a professional level. And he listens and treats your pets with tenderness. I recently brought our dog who had recently had a litter of puppies in due to some complications, and he was able to get us in immediately and identify the issue without hesitation. He treated her immediately and kept my heart at peace. So thankful for him. read more

I've been using Beall's for 2 yrs now and they're fantastic. They are very friendly and they care about your pets. I have a couple of cats and they are always treated lovingly. Also when you go in, you're greeted by Henry the cat, who hangs out there and is one cool cat. Prices are reasonable and the care is great. They're recently working to implement a program to help you save money and still get the best care for your pets. They also allow boarding. I recommend them to all. read more
