I'd give this place zero stars if possible. It's overrun with way too many children and too few workers. I had a meeting because my son misbehaved and I ran late (they require BOTH parents, so good luck single parents). They were absolutely unwilling to work with me and the owner was horribly rude (yet she manages children?) To top it off her biggest complaint was punctuality but they couldn't even refund us on time, which is absolute hypocrisy. I've let everyone I know NOT to go to this place. The only reason they are in business is because of a lack of childcare centers in the area. The owner has a bad attitude and the place in New Richmond is unprofessional and trashy. read more

Don't bring your children here. It stinks like mildew, front desk people don't even acknowledge you when you arrive to pick up or drop off your kid and half the staff doesn't even know where the children are half the time when asked . read more

Horrible daycare! Not enough staff for the volumes of children (quantity not quality) 2 of my 3 kids were getting incident reports every day, and they only went once a week. The icing on the cake was when my infant was getting bit by another child and the third time led to a 2 week bruise, the supervisor was very dimissive "this is how some kids communicate/express thenselves" As a parent it is my job to step up and defend my child. Once, ok...twice, annoying..three times with 8 distinct teeth marks, no. My threat to take my child to the doctor on their dime led to a completely fabricated 'termination' letter stuck to the computer (no verbal exchange, email, phone) How dare I protect my child! My 3 kids who didn't hurt anyone were put out at the end of the day. Also, high turn over of staff every few weeks, so no one truly learns your child. Silver lining is that their actions made the urgency to find a better quality daycare happen overnight, much better options in the Baldwin/Woodville area with more attentive care & compassion. Lesson: Do not ask questions about why your child is getting "kicked by friend" "hit by friend" "pushed down by friend" "bit by friend" the reaction will be to "end your professional relationship" * google search Baldwin Bear Buddies, interesting read on a recent child abuse charge they had. That employee might be gone, but it speaks volumes of their practice. We brought our daughter to the hudson bear buddies for only a week and it was one of the most horrible experiences of my life. Starting out day one the staff had no idea that my daughter was new and was going to be in their class. They apparently had no idea what to feed her the first day because they were concerned about her allergies and instead of calling to make sure what they gave her was okay they just gave her what THEY thought was okay. She was so crabby when I picked her up she feel asleep and slept for over 2 hours. The second day they still couldn't get her to nap even after expressing how important it was for her to sleep. I was told she was crabby at pickup and when I asked for details the response I got was I've only been here since 2. The third day I picked her up and she was SCREAMING. I get home and she had poop in her diaper (literally a 3 min drive) and a rash that made her cry for over 20 mins and once again she fell asleep and took a 2 hour nap before bedtime. The fourth day someone makes a comment about how this might not be a good fit for her while someone else makes a comment about her diaper rash being so much better today she didn't cry as much. I felt like I had to worry about my child while I was at work because I didn't feel like she was being cared for. We were told in our initial walk through that they would make sure she slept on her schedule and they would work around us. After deciding to pull her I talked to the director about all our problems which she listened to but did not give us any solution. The director cited policy and told us the money back guarantee only works if your child is in their care for 3 weeks and you fill out all the proper forms online. I would not get any money back and would have to continue to pay for 2 weeks. So I collected her things and we parted ways. After trying to get ahold of the owner for over a week we finally got in touch and she continued to call us liars and say nothing is substantiated and we couldn't prove anything. This entire experience has been a nightmare. My husband who talked to the owner said it was like fighting with a 16 year old. Hudson is such a small town I hope that someone sees this review and decides that bear buddies is not the right place for them. Keep your children away from this nightmare! read more
