They're always having some sort of sale and if you're looking for books go here. The employees are welcoming and nice. There's always an employee there that takes time to stop and dance with my three year old and to talk to her. It's nice... They're not a big store but they have a variety of things. I did some digging. Most of their profit goes right back into the community and funds local food shelves. They will work with you if there's something you need and can't afford. The staff is knowledgeable of programs that offer aid to low income, disabled, or single parents. If they have extra donations it goes to homeless shelters and half way houses. They're take almost all donations. They even take blankets that have stains or are worn out for animal shelters. Now, the downside. It's a small cramped store. I wish they had more wiggle room. Everything is dirty. They don't have the funding or enough volunteers to prewash clothing but will wipe down certain objects like knick nacks or toys. Because they have limited space you may not find a ton of baby clothing or toddler clothing. They open at 10am. Which is a little strange. Overall a little dust is worth an entire library at very cheap for my daughter. Plus, I know it goes right down the hall into the local food shelter to help those that need it.

If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.

My girlfriend recommended we hit this boutique in Somerset while camping at Apple River. Cheryl ( I…read morebelieve was her name) enthusiastically welcomed us in. Told us about the deals she had going on and then let us alone to browse the rather large store. After a bit, she asked if she could help with outfit selections, etc. Then, she offered us a glass of wine for while we shopped! We had such a GREAT time browsing, mixing/matching clothing for our concert outfits. My sister has special needs, and I feel Cheryl picked up on that pretty quickly and was very sweet about how she dealt with her and helped her out. She found her an amazing outfit that really complemented her figure and age. All in all, we had such a fabulous experience and bought A LOT of cute clothes AND accessories!! I wish it were closer I'd have such a fabulous wardrobe!! And prices I thought were right in line if not a little more affordable than I had expected for a boutique. Wish we had taken photos of our outfits. I did get one of my sister

I was about to try on ponchos and sweaters but an appointment kept me moving with only the jewelry and cards. There another location in Prescott, WI not as large as this one. Will check that out next time in Prescott. Really, a person could get a LOT of shopping done here
