A lot of Black's business is from contractors, and that's how I started going here (a couple guys I know work with them). But they're pleasant to regular retail customers too, and they have a good selection for basic hardware needs, as well as lumber and other building materials. Black also does cabinetry and sells some appliances (like kitchen hoods). One thing to know is that Black is part of the Do It Best distribution network. Actually, my only complaint is related to that. I sometimes buy yard/garden supplies here and have been disappointed by crappy plastic imports from China on a couple of occasions. But Black was nice about a return I made, so I can't get too irritated. For the ladies out there, this is the most woman-friendly hardware place in town. Women work the floor sometimes.
